Heartbreak and Signs of Angels

  • I lost my mom, my best friend in March. Creating videos, and content is something I have found joy in, since I started doing it several years ago. But, to just come back like my life has not been completely changed, and like there is not a huge piece of me missing would not be me. I am broken right now. My heart hurts every day.
And, since I have very little experience with how to do talk about this, or how to share this brokenness, I did what I know, I created a cleaning video. Because, even though I am broken, I have to take care of myself and my family. So I started with a house reset. A video about putting my house back together, so maybe I can start to put myself back together.
For those here for the cleaning - please mute! You will not want to listen my sniffling rambling. (And, I am not offended)!
For those who want to know how I am doing, this is where I am at.
Those who want to hear about angels 8:30 is where you will find that.
Thank you for being here for me. I am trying to find myself through the sadness.

Losing your mom is very rough. I have been there, too. Try to keep in mind what she would want for you. Live the best each day that you can. My best advice…Grief takes time but make yourself focus on the positive and not the loss. This helps keep the joy fresh and memories are so very special.

There are no words I can possibly type or say that will erase your pain or bring your mom back, but I know I speak for many people when I say you are beautiful inside and out, just like your mom. ❤ Grief and loss are so different for each of us, but I know you will get through this, one day at a time. You seem to have a lot of support and love surrounding you, so lean into that as often as you need to. Maybe in some way, making videos can help the healing process. We'll be here to support you however often you choose to post. 😊

As a person who lost her mum at the age of 13, I have always known that people who haven’t lost a parent don’t understand that type of grief but at the same time I am glad that others haven’t had to know the pain. At the age of 42 I lost my dad and I am yet to decide which has been the hardest, the long term grief of the mum I didn’t get to know well or the loss of my dad who was such an important part of my life. When supporting others (and yourself in this time), be sure to give them as much time as they need to grieve. You might think you’re coping and the silliest things will trigger you. This was such a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing, you are amazing. I listened to the whole thing and I think I needed it more than you did. I was 8 months pregnant when my dad died and I had a 17 month old as well so I haven’t had time to grieve in the last 2 years. I have been watching your videos during the last 2+ years and they help me stay calm. There’s no timeframe for grief and it gives you a different perspective on what is important so be kind to yourself. I’m not telling you my story to make you sad, just want you to know that you’re not alone. Here for you anytime. ❤

You are right, this is one of the hardest loss that you will grieve, I lost my mom when I was 26 and you do go on but its not easy. I am very sorry for your loss. May your mom rest in peace. She is your biggest angel.

I want to reach through the screen and give you a big hug! I am so sorry for your loss. I will be 54 this month which is how old my mother was when she passed away. I was 32 when she died. You never stop missing them. Grieving is different for everyone ,but I do encourage you to find a support group or therapist who specializes in grief.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Grief is real and heavy. This too shall pass. Your mom will always be with you in heart and soul. When you allow yourself to be happy, she knows how much you love her. Her Memory will always be with you in every stage of your life, heavy days and not so heavy.
When my daughter died, the best service my pastor did for me, was to make me laugh.

Oh I'm so sorry, the loss of a child is devastating. I lost my only daughter before she was born. Your pastor must have a gift. Laughter really does teach your grieving heart that life does move forward and that the love and light can move forward with you. That even though you never 'get over it', healing IS possible. 💚

What heartbreak! Now I understand why you stopped creating new content. I looked nearly every day for a new video from you and began to dread the reason why. You have had a traumatic event happen, and have stepped up to support your Dad and other family. I am now praying you take for yourself the quality of care as you have given. May others minister to you in your grief. When we lose a parent, it is shocking. The depths of grief are sign of the tremendous love you two shared. Cry whenever needed. Allow all emotions to be felt in this journey. Time and faith will eventually readjust your life to accept she is gone, and permit her memory to be a blessing. We love you.

💚 Allie, my heart breaks for you. Been thinking of you often since hearing the news. Thank you for sharing your mom and your grief with us. She is so beautiful and now I see where you get your infectious smile.
The 'Easter Egg Hunt' for angels was so touching.(So funny your dad didn't know she had them in every room. Men!) I think angels will continue to pop up as you need them throughout your life now. There are beautiful things within this painful process, I'm glad you are getting the message out. Thank you for being one of the warriors removing the stigma around death and grief. The stigma that says it's something we need to hide and keep private, as something we don't need to burden others with. It is a hard part of life, but it's such an important, life altering part. It shouldn't be swept under the rug to make others 'comfortable'. But boy! it takes strength to share it, and for that, I applaud you. Hugs to you, glad to see and hear you again. You've been missed but hope you feel no pressure to create when your spirit just isn't in it. Respect the hills and valleys. Both have value. 💚

Here's irony for you, I've always thought YOU looked cherubic. Let's live in the theory that you were the first angel she collected. Please accept my condolences, and try not to dwell on the "if only's". Instead of scenarios that can't be resolved in any way, concentrate on the real facts, you were close and both of you were loved. I will try to comment more, but I watch you on my roku tv and I can only leave a like. I had to get my tablet to comment, my carpal tunnel is making my hands numb , but I don't care, you are worth it.

Oh Sweetie! I lost my mom when I was 42. I'm 63 now and still pick up the phone to call her. She collected owls. Not long after my son died, I saw an owl on my way to work in daylight, which is weird. I know it was my mom telling me that she was with me and my son. It's been 23 years since my precious mother left this earth and I still miss her every day. I'm so glad that you posted this video to share your heartbreak. You are a brave soul and I applaud that.
