You can def finish DS1 in two more streams or so, the real questions is if you wanna do the DLC, cause once you beat the final boss, you can’t go back and it locks you into NG+. Up to you tho depending on how much time for DS1 you can fit in your schedule, the DLC bosses are pretty neat tho
3:59:39 it's Phalanx from Demon's Souls! Also if you open the main gate and have the aoe force miracle this is easily the best place to farm souls.
In a game notorious for it's difficulty the hardest part for Calli is getting lost in the darkness but seriously there are a few ways to change the brightness settings of the pc itself.
Most monitors have buttons on them to adjust the brightness or use search bar to open nvidia control panel to adjust all kinds of display and color settings including brightness.
I replayed DS1 about a month ago and can confirm that despite it's name it never felt too dark to see (aside from the tomb of giants which is intentional design) and I was playing with the game default brightness setting.
I imagine the DLC Light spell from Dusk is specifically for that one portion of the game, idk that it serves any other purpose

This was great. I really loved Priscilla's design (had to look up name), like part (beast?), part human or god, and she wields a scythe! Very serene and kinda tragic considering she's pretty much by herself in the painting, so I wonder about what her story is
Priscilla is most likely the daughter of Seath and Gwynevere, who likely fell in love after Seath saved her younger brother, Gwyndolin’s life. Gwynn was furious and Priscilla was born in secret, and hidden away, gwynevere was swiftly married off to another god who lived far from Anor Londo. At some point however, it seems that Velka the god of retribution took pity on Priscilla and vowed to get vengeance against the gods for her mistreatment, though that last part is less certain, Velka is a unique entity who is the oldest of the god and has never been seen in any dark souls property

Calli has beaten the hardest boss of Dark Souls… pinwheel! Now she face a her truest enemy: gravity + darkness! Can’t count how many times I died at that location when first playing Dark Souls. Another nice stream to see of Calli exploring the lands of Dark Soul. Happy she meet one of my favorite boss of the game: Seath the scaleless. Although the fight had a guaranteed death to process, didn’t expect her to use the a item to teleport away. As expect of the reaper, a pro gamer. Thanks for the wonderful stream!

Man, sometimes chat can be so wrong sometimes in these Dark Souls streams. Most of the time they offer good advice, but sometimes they just misdirect the streamer. There's usually some people correcting them of course, but they often get buried in all the chat messages.
That being said tho, Calli's playthrough has been really fun. I really love that she pays attention to NPCs and item descriptions.

Calli is moving so fast that she has nearly caught up to me. I’m nearly done with my first DS1 play through and Calli is already almost done as well. She is really doing well.
Really in the late game now, the archives isn't easy but I'm sure Mori's got it
surprised no one told calli about the xanthous set since it's missable and has one of the greatest helmets in souls

The DLC content is definitely worth experiencing, and if you do it before a certain boss, you get some extra content out of it. definitely not mandatory, but worth considering I think

Well done Mori, you're flying through the game. BTW, you can't beat the final boss before the DLC or it will take you to New Game+. It's always been awkward that way, he's a pushover compared to the toughness of the DLC but I doubt you'll have a problem with either. I think you can do it before your family vacation, as long as you're feeling fine with double streams since ARK some days.
You are doing great! These streams have made me feel so nostalgic for one of my favorite games/series ever. Thank you for them, it's been really helpful and fun. Love seeing you're reactions to everything! Oh, and if you do play Demon Souls the remaster does have issues but it's still not a bad game. Plus you can see the very start of so many iconic features in Souls games

If you equip transient curse to your item slot you can just use it then beat up the ghosts. Makes the area very easy if you have alot of transient curses so you don't run out.
Grandma sells transient curses.
A Very Large Ember is required to fully upgrade fully, guess where it is found.
I feel like you’re meant to finish deeproot garden before New Londo since you need the abyss ring? One of the boss weapons from that area has curse on it automatically so it makes the ghosts more manageable

Fell asleep in the middle due to EST, but that just means I got to enjoy it at two different times. Made my work go by like nothing. While the Tomb of Giants can be really difficult to navigate, there's an item you can get through leveling up the spider lady's covenant that helps more than your lantern. It's also necessary for Solaire's quest, but I won't go into details there. Keep up the good work, Calli!
Dark Souls 3 is the game to plan to use a scythe even if it's late into the game.
Even if the Demon's Souls scythe looks the most like death.
Dark Souls 3 has a romance.
Big and chufty for those bonewheels. They're a terror without the Poise that Adam was rocking.

Personally I liked Ornstein's armor although that requires killing Smough first. The Elite knight and set of Artorias are also very good.
Ornstein's armour is so damn good, it just requires the harder order of the fight for sure...

Time flies when you're lost (dont worry i was lost with ya, the rooms in this game are very similar lol). But jokes aside thanks for another fun stream, its a treat watchin you explore and overcome famous areas, and slowly uncover lore bits that got stuck with folks for years. You're on a great pace to finish this soon, hell you're even a good level for the DLC from what i heard, i bet youd be able to finish that in a long stream, and there are some fights i cant wait to see you beat! Whatever you decide to do, i cant wait for more DS adventures

There was more exploring more dying and more boss slaying. However I was pretty surprised that not only was the trap femboy boss super easy to kill but then immediately Callie just straight up killed firekeeper. I mean that fight was so fast that I didn't even know what was happening because all I got was laser blast running towards the fem boy then hiding behind a pillar attacking him and then rinse and repeat. It was a very fast fight and pretty easy fight so much so that I didn't even know that she was fighting the femboy until most people in the comments were like saying well the fem boy is dead. And then when the fire keeper got killed I was like wait why did she kill the fire keeper, so now we lost the sensible waifu from this game....... Oh well lol. Still this was a very solid stream as always and good job with the play through overall Calli!

A lot of exploring more than boss hunting but its ok because you really got stuck almost everywhere, and Im sure there will be a stream with lots of bosses.
