I like how her being able to make herself invisible makes sense because she has a hydro vision. I don't know the sciency stuff but it has something to do with water being able to reflect light thus a rainbow appearing but in this case its able to reflect light in a way she becomes invisible
From a scientific view, someone with the ability to turn invisible should have either an anemo or a pyro vision primarily, with hydro as the hardest option.
But the powers in genshin aren't supposed to adhere to any physical laws anyway, so who cares.

It makes me think of refractive index which is like the property of glass or water to bend light. And like specifically makes me think of when it is at a point where the light doesn't bend but passes right through giving the illusion, for instance, that submerged glass is "invisible" or the way water can reflect like a mirror under the surface.
She can redirect light to move around her to reflect what's behind her instead. If she could perfectly do this, even for just a few seconds, that would mean she's extremely skilled at using it. With enough practice, it's not impossible

She's still mysterious after all the info we got from her. I feel like she will be one of the most interesting characters in Genshin because of her mysteriousness. Even the VA doesn't like spoils and she said herself that Yelan is a mysterious girl. Idk how many mysterious words I said but for me she really is a intriguing character. Might be one of the best written characters out here.
I find all 5 star hydro characters really interesting cause all of them are very mysterious. We have someone who although debunked by the character but still might potentially be a dragon, someone who fell in the abyss at a young age and joined a military, someone who studies astrology and probably knows too much already, someone who somehow managed to keep their clan intact by probably sacrificing his humanity and now Yelan.
Talk about mysterious, reminds me of Kaeya.
