  • The Sicilian Dragon is a top-level opening you can play against 1.e4. Instead of a brief explanation of it, I am going in full depth on the Sicilian Dragon Defense. I will include EVERY SINGLE Variation of the Sicilian Defense Dragon Variation opening. This will include the Yugoslav Attack with 9.0-0-0, the Yugoslav Attack w/ 9. Bc4, the Classical System (6.Be2), the Levenfish System (6.f4), the Fianchetto System (6.g3), and all other 6th move sidelines in the Sicilian Dragon Variation. I will also include a chapter of this masterclass that will go into the tactical tricks which exist in the Sicilian Dragon Defense. Finally, there will be a chapter dedicated to illustrative game examples of the Sicilian Dragon at the top level of chess which will show everything you learned about the Dragon in action. This is my biggest opening project (BY FAR!!) and I am super excited to carry you through all the variations in the Sicilian Defense: Dragon Variation and make you a Dragon expert!

    It's great how you not only present the correct ideas but also traps. Most people when they teach an opening just cover the good moves but you also emphasize on what to to fall into

    Common tactical ideas for both sides in the Dragon.
    For Black: just go for Checkmate!
    For White: just go for Checkmate!

    Awesome idea for a series! I love when the Yugoslav is on the board from either side. With that said, I don’t know much after move 10. Excited to see the rest of the videos!

    Amasing content quality once again . I love the Dragon. Some people have discouraged me from playing it in the past, but maybe thanks to you it will be part of my repertoire for good. Looking forward to the rest of the course. Keep up the great work!

      Incredible to hear! Obviously, everyone has their own opinion, but I think there are some fresh ideas that I will show instead of common theory, that make the dragon much more powerful!

      The Dragon isn't that popular in the GM fraternity - and is super-tactical. I love using it however, especially the 'Dragon-Dorf', which can be an effective weapon against the Yugoslav Attack with 0-0-0

    Hi!
    9.g4(!?) is also an important line to consider (besides 9.Bc4 and 9.0-0-0), I believe.

    Sir this is great can you give a master class of a attacking opening (white ) please

    • @ChessGeek1
      @ChessGeek1  Pƙed rokem

      I am just not sure exactly what to pick. D4 vs E4. I play d4 more, and feel I could give more specific and useful suggestions there. But for attacking, e4 is usually better.

    I've just come across your channel and repertoires, and it makes one feel truly impressed, excited, and grateful! Congratulations and keep it up! Two questions about this masterclass: were you inspired by any players or sources when you made it? Also, do you usually like to recommend solid/positional lines or aggressive/tactical ones in this repertoire?

    • @ChessGeek1
      @ChessGeek1  Pƙed 8 měsĂci

      Thanks! 1) Not necessarily, 2) For this rep., in the spirit of the dragon, it is very aggressive. But, I also have the nimzo masterclass, for example, which is a calmer way to deal with 1.d4

      Possibly in the future, but this masterclasses focuses on the open sicilian only - maybe I will make one about dealing with anti-sicilians in the future! :) Glad you enjoy the content
