This song has to be the most underrated song in the album. Its a crazy combination of Call of the Waves and Surf Squid Warfare, two of my favorite songs from all of Alestorm. Its a song that gives you the motivation to just kick ass and drink beer. 15/10 best Alestorm song.
"And now the land lies dead form centuries of war, the protoplasmic pirate horde will rise to fight once more" This has got to be one of my favorite songs alstorm ever made :D
Don't get me wrong, i still love Alestorm, but no. They've turned into a party band more than a Pirate metal band imo. Their first 2 or 3 albums were true Alestorm, after that it's Party Storm. xD
I was listening to a YT playlist while doing stuff, I hear the beginning and go "hmm, could this be Gloryhammer?" Then I hear "5000 years ago in the age of dinosaurs, a single voice of chaos spoke in a tongue not heard before" and think "yep, definitely Gloryhammer" But then they started talking about pirates. Well played Alestorm, arrr.
I can only hope the new Gloryhammer album has the same heavy and electronic feel to it as this song. So much about this song seems like it was scored for Gloryhammer initially
i have the perfect music video for this song in my head with a bunch of undead pirates made out of cyanobacteria sailing to battle on the backs of mosasaurs on the cretaceous seas
I absolutely love the fact you and gloryhammer are taking after each other in songs!! (Or at least that what it looks like) Both of you are my favorite bands EVER, this song was the best thing to grace Mt ears! Fuck yeah alestorm!
@@KameWeeb I've seen them thrice so far and each time they had a lot of banter and jokes to keep you interested. Crowd would do moshpits and sing along and be sometimes very intoxicated (which may or may not be your thing) Interestingly they tend to keep their shows quite short. Longest show I've seen where they were headlining was just over 1 hour and other shows were shorter. This can be positive or negative depending on your point of view But personally I recommend their show! They are very experienced
Everyone's speculating Zargothrax is speaking to the protoplasmic slime that becomes Alestorm and whatnot. I'm honestly too drunk to give a shit! Let's just get blackout drunk, seize the day, and have a good time!
Time traveling piratical techno metal? Honestly I was only a smidgen disappointed that I didn't get to see Chris in a blender again. Only a little. Great song as always though.
"5000 years ago in the age of dinosaurs"
Finally, a historically actuate song by Alestorm
I hadn't noticed how wrong this line was at first 😂😂😂
"to the end of the world" is pretty accurate tbh
They can travel back through time, so clearly this song was written about 65.99 million years ago, during the first 4999 years of the Cenozoic era
Can I just say, "Apocalypse 1992", released in 2015?
@@fabiofabbri84 they sailed with the tartarians
So Zargothrax summoned Alestorm from a pool of primordial sludge. Now things are starting to make sense.
Zargothrax was captain of the alestorm pirates before he became became sorcerer
@@thodorispatelis Is this before or after Captain Fannybaws?
Does it take place before "Tales from the Kingdom of Fife" or during the events of "Legends from beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex"
@@toainsully the new Gloryhammer guy flew back in time to fight the viking hoard. He missed his stop though and went too far.

Extremely catchy!
Fun fact: Alestorm should get royalties from Nintendo for Surf Squid Warfare!

every single song in this album is incredible.

That could work.
This song is perfect. I think is one of my top 5 Alestorm songs.
This is literally the number 1 alestorm song
That chorus is fantastic
1:08 the keyboard melody at this part is so addictive. I just have to hum it along every time.

Amaranthe, not Gloryhammer
.... Chris isn't in Amaranthe.
@@spacesquid3222 yeah he is. he's elize on the weekends.

5000 years ago in the age of dinosaurs. (Hehe) Where would the concept of the "dragon" come from in every culture?✌️
I drink beer and play video games at the same time.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag !
The most epic song from Alestorm was 1741 for me... Until now.
I like how the sound bars at the bottom have nothing to do with the sounds of the video......
I honestly love this track, such a pump up :D
