Very interesting…Lavinia stamps used the Vaseline on a stamp for a water color reset technique..I had a fair amount of success…but your technique for mixed media is great…thanks
I’m such a big fan of yours…I love how you teach techniques…I wonder if even a very thin layer of Vaseline would do just as good a job and make it easier to brush overtop of without having to worry about smearing it? Something tells me that you can also stamp with Vaseline and use it as a resist with your sprays….that would be cool to see🤗🤗🤗💕💕💕

This is the coolest technique so far. I can see this being made to look like a rusty old metal sign with the paint peeling. So fun!
Thanks Lou, never thought of using Vaseline for resist, I always use embossing powder.

You could use wax or a wax candle for a resist instead of something oily.
Cool effect. I wonder what impact the Vaseline has over time though 🤔
