Don't sell VVD. He has given the club so much, including refusing almost twice his current salary to join Liverpool. He deserve to see off his Career at Liverpool. Without him we won't win half the cup we won. We'll feel the impact if he leaves. If Salah can have 350K, VVD deserves it too. You can't increase TAA and keep or reduce VVD. Increase both and reduce Salah's. VVD should be the captain and the highest earner, to get the best from him. Keep VVD, TAA sell Salah
This is a terrible idea, VVD and Salah should both be sold, VVD has been a poor Captain on the field and he holds a lot of the responsibility for Us conceding first in 16 PL games this season. He has been a great player in past seasons but now is the time for a big rebuild. If you ask yourself how many of the Liverpool Team would get in the Real Madrid starting 11 I can only say Allison and possibly Trent but that's it. We have to build a Squad to compete on the same level as the top European Clubs and the truth is we are way short of that currently. Keeping players on huge wages that are on the decline is a recipe for disaster.
Nah we need Salah. His assists alone should have given us 15 goals. Sell CJ and CG or DN or LD. We need a striker in the front that will help Salah, not hold him back.
I would keep VVD and sell Salah BUT VVD would be demoted to vice captain (or nothing at all) and I’d make Trent captain

£359m net spend in the klopp era for FSG with a total of £510m net since they have brought the club. So £36m per season on average. We need abit more investment on the field now. 400k pw wages will be saved with Matip, Thiago,Adrian leaving as out of contract. Reinvest this in new contracts for players.

It's not about how much you spend it's about bringing the quality in, if they buy a player who costs 8 million and he becomes world class which happened with Robertson fans will still complain. Or you can spend like Chelsea and man united do, end up in huge debt with players you can't get rid of. Another look at this is what if Slot like Morton and other young players so chooses to develop them instead of spending. Back in 2001 the club brought through loads of talent and fans where excited now all fans want is to spend spend spend and it's why football has fallen off. If these fans saying spend money where in charge Jones, Quansah, Bradley would never have been brought in and they have proved that they are good enough for the squad this season rather than spending 100 million on replacements.
Hey mate Summerville plays on the left wing for Leeds and Netherlands, like Diaz can play on the right if needed. Diaz, Gakpo, Jota and Nunez are the left options do we need another left sided player?

FSG put the club up for sale and it was only the economic climate that stopped them completing so don't think they will spend big. They don't realise how lucky they were starting their era with some good signings when you see what the new Chelsea owners have spent and got little return.
if we play a 4231 under Slot then put nunez up front on his own or jota and he stays there to just score goals not defend then put salah or grav or carvalho behind him in the 10/ diaz or gakpo LM /Szobo or elliot RM /trent + Endo or Mac + bajetic in the pivot / And we still have other players plus new players to mix it up a bit??
I’d have concerns over too many Dutch players - technically gifted without doubt however apart from a few always struggle with the physicality of the prem and are quite lackadaisical in possession so I would be careful with having 5/6 in the squad but proof will be in the pudding and I hope slot gets it right…a potential option with salah could be to play him in the 10 and get another pacy winger to go with Diaz on the other side with macca and baj in midfield and keeping Trent at right back would be my preference

I’ve always been one to criticise FSG. The truth is though few clubs can compete with UTD, Chelsea and City’s spending.
If Ally had been in goal in the FA Cup man utd Anthony does not score that extra time goal in 84 mins,It was only ever going into that corner and there was very little power,Ally would have posiitioned himself better, Kella is a gd 2nd keeper,

its not so much about spending big its more about spending right and on players we need i would rather have 5 players over just 1 or 2 expensive players ie a CB/RW/DM/LB/CF we need to find young hungry rough diamonds with huge potential and i know everyone will say NO we need top quality players who cost 100 mill plus for each player but lets be honest if we do that we will be lucky to get 1 top player and maybe 1 other??? we still need to spend around 150/200 mill tho but with some sales we could do it?

Sell Salah....If you are not going to play TAA in the midfield, might as well sell as he is useless as a defender (See Calvert-Lewin's Goal vs. Everton) Offer VVD a new contract at club friendly number and let him walk at the end of his contract

I'll prefer Salah to stay. He has not had a good end of the campaign but believe me he is still top-class and has the most goals and assists. Imagine the other attackers were ruthless like Mane and Firmino. Apart from Salah just Diaz has impressed me but without goals😢. Jota is a finisher but injury disturbed his performance. TAA should never be used for defense. He is good with passes but lazy and sloppy on the defense.
Salah's selfishness andwastefulness has created some serious problems. He will not change there. Sell him bassoon as possible
We will regret TAA in midfield the better teams will exploit him in there like teams exploited him at Rb he is overrated and people are trying to hype him because he’s local lad, let’s be honest he’s not even good enough to start in England first eleven
Did FSG not spend a bit last summer for MacAllister, Szoboszlai, Endo, and Gravenberch?
We do need to improve CB/LB, DM, CF, and understudy for Mo.
They basically sold our whole midfield beforehand. They probably messed up the Bellingham deal as well, who is currently way better than all of them.
They had a comically low net spend during the last years, which ultimately led to this abrupt and forced rebuild.

We have amazing Defensive midfielders. Our main problem is wasteful, selfish and basically impotent offensive line. All should go except Jota and Maybe Diaz.

I think Salah's drop in form is temporary. It is nothing new. His calendar year of year 2022 was terrible to his standards. He was basically the best player in the world in 21/22 season before new year, then totally dropped off. First half of 22/23 was bad but he picked up again in calendar year 2023.
I have never been Salah F.C. over Liverpool but I have been blown out of my mind how he transitioned from a fast attacking winger to a sort of playmaker winger. The passes and assists he is making this season is unreal.
This is nothing new to Liverpool players. Sometimes Mane dropped in form, Firmino, Nunez, Salah etc. All the time it happend people were talking of selling these players, then they get back in form and all of the sudden they are the greatest players in PL. It's the reason we need depth.
I would not sell Salah for less than 150 million to be honest.
