If they are trying to make Jake the most hated character they’re slowly succeeding. I am going to miss James, but at least he went out with dignity and he still has Aiden. I wonder how Aiden will react to this next episode when he finds out his boyfriend is gone. I also doubt he and Tom are actually being romantic but I wouldn't mind a friendship forming between them.

I have a feeling Fiore may try to pit Hunter and Ally against each other. Those two are pretty much blind to her tactics.
It makes more sense for her to try & make an alliance with them. Considering Jake & Ashly didn’t want to. Plus they literally voted James out. I know Hunter doesn’t like Fiore bc “she’s their weakest teammate” however they need the numbers. Bc it’s currently Jake & Ashley vs Hunter & Ally. Hopefully they don’t lose again & blame Fiore. If you look at the intro you can see almost every major plot point. Miriam spying on Alec, Jake and Ashley's friendship, Alec still caring about fiore, drama with jake Tom and Aiden. And also you can see James and lake being the first boots
Jake's writing in this chapter was of a mixed quality, meaning it was good in some ways but also terrible in other ways. On the one hand, in the first few moments, Jake started very well, showing maturity by asking Tom to clarify the issues. things and saying that he was no longer going to assume before drawing conclusions, in addition, it is coherent how he felt the way he did, Tom has been ignoring and avoiding him for a long time without wanting to at least give him closure, and then he sees it becoming very close to a boy who proved to have the same inclinations as him, not to mention that he does not know Aiden to determine if he would cheat on James or not, it is very normal for him to feel that way, but the problem is what comes after, since then begins to sink into his assumptions since Alec spoke to him to confuse him, furthermore, he berates James for advising Aiden, when he would have done the same if Miriam had asked him how to spend the night with less discomfort, which is incoherent due to that hypocrisy was never part of Jake's individual context, it also felt like 10 steps backwards the way Jake insisted on expelling James when it was the opportunity to expel Fiore, who was a threat and bad at challenges. and showing a very strange lack of empathy considering that Jake always showed that he had the empathy to put himself in the shoes of others even when they treated him badly, although in this he can be understood, since objectively, Jake was just politely sharing a concern with James and James became very defensive, acting as if Jake intended to f4ck with James's head, to the point of lashing out at Jake without even missing a beat. I respect, also, the fact that they put in a line saying that Jake posts photos of himself crying about not having a partner already feels like an effort by the writers to make Jake look terribly awkward, and the fact that Jake claiming that it was revenge against Aiden without having proof makes his progress feel too contradictory considering what he said to Miriam at the beginning, in conclusion, 50% of Jake's writing was well structured and the other was the opposite. I must admit that after the episodes 10-11 of the first season, I thought that the writers were just going to forcefully degress Jake even more, but I'm glad that this time they at least gave him some coherence and foundation, I just hope they correct the other 50% so that Jake It is as well written as it was in the chapters 1-9 of the first season
I completely agree with you. I can see both sides I empathize with Jake because he has been cheated on before and he politely brought up a concern to James, from James perspective, he trusts Aiden and doesn’t really know Jake that well. But what he said to Jake sort of rubbed me the wrong way and how Jake reacted also rubbed me the wrong way as well. I’m hoping they fixed the 50% of Jake’s writing. Jake isn’t a bad person. Maybe if Jake ever gets eliminated he gets to talk things out with James at least or maybe try to work things out.

Ik. When you actually think about it more deeply. He booted the same person he wanted to talk to about Aiden and Tom and then got mad because the person he wanted to talk to refused to believe his boyfriend was cheating on him. So instead of feeling bad for James (considering that he believes that Tom and Aiden is a thing that means that Aiden is cheating as well) he gets mad cause of what he said, votes him off, and forgets that Fiore was a clear better choice

Honestly, the only way I would want to watch DCAS without worrying about what happens to Jake next, is if he got a villain arc, I mean he may start as just naive and jealous, but then Fiore could convince him to get rid of the people close to Tom to win his heart. That way, he’ll end up getting his villain arc and manage to get to the merge of the game, maybe even farther.
If he were a villain, maybe then he’ll convince himself somewhere that Tom moved on, and basically maybe cause Tom’s elimination.

Right before Episode 1 dropped, I predicted that Fiore would be first to be eliminated. Man, I was so close to being right, didn't expect James to be eliminated that early.
I knew it be someone from the Magenta team going first, but I'd figured it either be Ashley or one of the complaining couple. They really got me with that one. Still, I'm 90% sure that Hunter's the next to go on the team.

1. Ratting Karol out to Lake, Rosa, and Maggy and getting her voted out just minutes after she had agreed to an alliance with him and Aiden. Her vendetta against Aiden over that was certainly not justified, but her vendetta against James absolutely was, because there was literally zero good reason to do that to her. He did it just for kicks!
2. Happily joining Yul in bullying and subsequently voting out Maggy.
3. Repeatedly getting into Aiden's personal space and putting his hands on him without Aiden's consent. Even Aiden was clearly creeped out by that.
Just to name a few reasons.
