Great review Phil
Cheers Nick 👍🏻
Great tool and a fantastic price thanks for sharing this video and thanks for your honesty thanks again Phill 🍺🍺👍👍
Cheers Brian 👍🏻 Can't complain for the price 👌🏻
Excellent. Wish I had a Lidl near us. Very handy. Cheers Phil.
Cheers Dene this was the only one they had when I found it. They must run out fast.
Cracking value. None of the Lidl tools I have, have failed; so good build quality.
Yea they do some good deals 👌🏻
great job
Thanks!
Thanks Phill, looks like great value for money and very versatile too !
Cheers Andy 👍🏻
I was looking at these glue guns last week at Lidl ,For £10 it's a bargain I might go and buy one, I do have two of these little glue guns bought about 10-12 years ago got the first one from a market in Rhyl i think it was £1.50 a week later same glue gun for £1 in pound land in Wrexham That's handy with the cable ,handy to have it cord less if you away from the bench or workshop ,it's good to have it pluged if you a the workbench were the sockets are thank's for the video Phill, Take car mate😀🔨🔧🪛🪚👍👍👍
Cheers Shaun👍🏻 can't go wrong with the warranty just return it if it breaks which is good piece of mind. Pound land used to have some really good deals although not so much these days.

Thank you hopefully it keeps growing 🙂
@@PhillWyattProjects👍 can you sometime, make a video about plants and flowers in your place,,thanks
Lidl do some great stuff for the money and it's always got a great 3 year warranty, great for DIY'ers and i also know some trades men who use this brand, I believe the Parkside brand is made by Grizzly a german company .
Yea the warranty being 3 years always surprises me for what they cost.
A very good review, well demonstrated and explained. It looks like a good quality/ value bit of kit. I may consider purchasing one. Keep up the good work.
Thank you 👍🏻
Had one of these for a few years now & it works OK. Good value for money. My major gripe with it is getting it to fit on the charger. I find it really tricky to get it on & charging, which puts me off using it. I'd not thought of plugging it in to the cable directly, which would be more useful when I want to use it! I ditched the flimsy little stand & made a much better Stanley Fatmax style stand by beinging a wire coathanger into the shape I wanted, which makes putting down/picking up far easier. With the DIY stand & plugging it in directly, it may be a bit more user friendly. Wish I'd seen this video 30 minutes ago, as I've just ordered the Stanley Fatmax for £40. I guess I now have a backup, as glueguns are notorious for breaking. For £10 with a 3yr warranty, I might just hammer the Parkside until it packs up & keep the Stanley in reserve. If it does fail before the 3yr warranty, I'll get my £10 back off Lidl, as they're always good with returns. Thanks for the review.
Cheers yes good points 👍🏻 and I would recommend getting a solid brass tip for the parkside they are much better than the original one. You can get them from Amazon for a few quid I have a link to one in the description of this video if interested. 👍🏻
@@PhillWyattProjects Thanks. I'll order one now!
Thanks phil for the review.I bought this 3 weeks ago basically as it was only 9.95.I havent opened the box yet but this review was greatvhelp.Looking forward to using it soon.
Cheers your welcome 👍🏻
Thanks i will get that one i do have the same small one it not great
Yea I think they are a good deal. I upgraded the nozzle on mine to a metal one. You can find them for a few pounds online.
I can use it with other sticks sizes
Bought one of these back in July 22 and hadn't used it up until yesterday. I watched your vid and thought I'd give it a go. I let it heat up for a good few minutes then as soon as I pulled the trigger the nozzle dropped out, I tried to push it back in with a pair of pliers but it just went crooked and was still loose. Any advice ?
Hi, this is a good point. My nozzle also dropped out after a while. The original nozzle isn't very good in my opinion anyway. I bought a replacement solid brass nozzle which you can screw into the end quite easily and it works great. I have added an affiliate link in the description of this video to a replacement hot glue gun Nozzle. This is the same one that I bought for mine. Hope this helps.
I bought one of these and having never used a glue gun in my life, took to CZcams and found your excellent review. May I ask a real basic question? On mine, once the glue stick has gone through the alignment port the glue stops - you can see the stick disappearing but no more glue comes out. Do you feed another stick in to push the first one through? The manual doesn't tell you to do this. Perhaps you or someone can answer my query without using the word numpty! Many thanks!
Thanks! Yea that's a good question. You need to begin feeding the next stick through to continue pushing the first one all the way through.
Many thanks!
How long does it last when it charged up, or dose it cool down and need recharge to melt glue
It stays hot for long enough to apply the glue then you put it back on the docking station to warm up again. Not sure how long it stays hot but seems adequate.
surely cordless means onboard battery power..
It's cordless in the sense that once it is ready to use it can be removed from the dock.
Looks ridiculous value! Is this an older deal? I'll be hitting up all the local Lidl's on Monday if it's recent.
I see their clamps are coming on offer next week, definitely grabbing a bunch of them after seeing you work with them.
No I bought it last week. Yea I've got some of their clamps I bought a while ago.
@@PhillWyattProjects Awesome, that's mine and the little lad's Monday morning sorted haha. The strength of that initial grip is impressive!
@@Cenotaff yea good all round for the price. Just checked the receipt I bought it 28/06/23. I've ordered a new copper nozzle for it from eBay only cost £3.50 should be a good upgrade for it.
@@PhillWyattProjects Multiple days of searching, 3 different Lidl's and I couldn't find it unfortunately.
On the plus side, came out with a 12v battery, charger and a hedge trimmer 😄
Another cracker of a deal! The figure of 8 lead itself is worth 3 or 4 quid!
I agree. I also thought the same about the figure of 8 lead!
