    I had a 73 W200 camper special. It was so tuff off road I was hanging with my friends 74 Jeep. I was in the military at the time and as time went on. I watched almost my whole troop buy Dodge Rams and PowerWagons.
    I really wish I still had it. 360 NP435 NP 205 Dana 60 rear HD 44 front with 4.10's. Also had a storage box on the right side.
    In Germany he can't go anywhere without questions or compliments.

    Chrysler was the only supplier of all full size 4x4's including G.M. and Ford transfer cases and maual transmissions in the 70's. New Process Gear owned by Chrysler. Ford switched to Borg Warner.

    I have a 1974 W200 with a Club Cab and Adventurer pack. How come my 400 bigblock only makes 200 and that 360 smallblock is making 220?

      “LA 360 Chrysler engine was released in 1971 with a two barrel carburetor (220 HP). In 1974, with the introduction of the code E58 4-BBl dual exhaust version, at 245 hp (183 kW) SAE net, became the most powerful LA engine with the end of 340 production.”
      400 Cu.In. Chrysler: “Three versions of this engine were available: a two-barrel/single exhaust version producing 170 hp (127 kW; 172 PS) at 4,400 rpm with 305 lb⋅ft (414 N⋅m) of torque at 2,400 rpm, a four-barrel/single exhaust version producing 205 hp (153 kW; 208 PS) at 4,400 rpm, and a high performance four-barrel/dual exhaust version rated at 260 hp (194 kW; 264 PS) at 4,800 rpm, 410 lb⋅ft (556 N⋅m) of torque at 3,200 rpm. All three versions used the same 8.2:1 compression ratio. The 400 was used in car, truck, and motorhome chassis. Horsepower and torque ratings gradually declined through the years due to the addition of more federally mandated emissions controls, until all Chrysler passenger vehicle big-block production ceased in 1978. For its last year of production, it only produced 190 hp (142 kW) (although a heavy-duty version was also available).[3]”

      bTW... I also own a 1974 W200, manual transmission 4x4. It came (as that combination) with the largest engine available, the LA360. It was a Telephone Company service vehicle. Someone swapped a standard long-bed box later on.
      You could get a 400 or 440 engine, but only with automatic transmission or a dealer-installed engine upgrade. A friend of mine had a 440 with a manual transmission, but it wasn’t that way from the factory.
      I considered swapping in a 440, but too much work, parts, etc, for now. Maybe some day. For now, just upgrading the 360.

    This w200 is so far from stock. Manual lockers in front? Coilovers and no leaf in the back? Could they not find a good clean "all original"? The power wagon segment was cool though.

      It has leads in the back. You can see the huge blocks under them. Just has I'm guessing monroe coilovers as well.

    Dont know where you pay 18.000 for a 70t's w200 but you got ripped the fuck off.
    The truth however is for a real shitty rusty w200 you pay around 3 to 4000 euro. However the better looking ones wich may need just a little touching up you pay around 6 to 7000.
    If you want to skip all that and go for fully restored w200 (wich for me kind if takes the fun out of restoring it) you"ll be likely to pay around 9000 euro.
    Ofcours these prices are for a" second hand" market. Dont expect to walk into the usa dealership for these prices since dealerships always wanne rip you off.
