Gary's story: an LVAD patient

Gary had been a patient at Chippenham on several occasions for congestive heart failure. On his fourth visit, he learned that he was a candidate for the Left Ventricular Assist Device or LVAD. Dr. Andrew Keller. medical director of the advanced heart failure program and LVAD program at Chippenham Hospital's Levinson Heart Institute, was able to offer Gary the LVAD to help the patient improve his heart function and keep him out of the hospital.
