Hi Denise! Just an FYI for everybody. The brush you showed to put powder on a wig part and the furniture markers. I’ve gotten both at Dollar Tree. And they both work great! So there’s no need to spend a lot of money. ❤️💜💚
Denise, do you have any tips for wig wearers when they buy from a Clearance Section from an online wig Company? I have tried a couple of times in the past and it didn't turn out well. I bought from an online legit company. Since then I have been hesitant to try and get a good bargain in that manner. No one made me buy from the Clearance sales but was needing to try and stay within my budget. I see others who get wigs through the big sales and the wigs look great and seemingly no issues with them. Was it just my luck? Thank you kindly.
I can't tell you how very, very glad i found you! I have been struggling for a looong time with the thought of giving in to wearing wigs. My Mom had very little hair for as far back as i can remember, as well as Grandmothers on both Mom & Dad's. I thought i dodged that bullet because i always had a full, thick head of hair. Until i hit 70. Then it started coming out fast. I finally looked in the mirror one day & questioned why i was trying to make 2 hairs look like 100. A battle i could never win. My only Granddaughter was getting married & i knew that i just had to face the facts that i was a chubby, short, hair challenged older woman of 78. I started my wig journey. It's been trial & error. Until i found you on UT. You are fabulous. You are so down to earth & impart your knowledge & support with love. I wish i had a friend like you! I guess in a way i do. Thank you for being you & giving me the courage to be me. Keep up the good work because i still need a lot of help. Sorry this is sooo long.
I am 73 y.o. having worn wigs for 16 years ,and I say God bless you for what you do, very valuable info. I learned a few things I didn’t know. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for all of this info. I have been wearing wigs due to alopecia for about 12 years and never took the time to learn any of this stuff. I think I have just pouted at the fact that i even had to wear wigs. I just started watching wig videos very recently and have learned so much from you and others. This information is invaluable to me. I took lots of notes!! You look stunning in that wig. Love it and I truly Thank God for you and the information you share.
I just want to thank you. I am new to wigs and know NOTHING!!! You are teaching me so much. You are the only one I go to for info A Million Thanks 💐💐💐🙏🙏🙏
Denise you are so good to us at being honest. When you share I do not feel like you are associated with someone and doing this for them. I do appreciate that you need to make money and sponsorship is needed so you can continue to share. You are truly a blessing I wish you lived near I would shower you with love and friendship. You really get the problems, we who have loss need people to stay honest. I feel like I can really trust you . And as a side note could you be any cuter, I mean I haven’t seen you in hair that I didn’t think looked soooooooo good.
Wow, thank you so much for this! I struggle A LOT with the sponsorship side of this... I want to be seen as trustworthy and honest, it is so incredibly important to me... but I know that for some, ANY sponsorship or gift for review automatically makes people suspicious. I get that!! I just pray for guidance and always check my intentions before I share a video. You are right, though, I wouldn't be where I am today with the knowledge and the amount of content I share without that help. I just pray those who need the information will be able to see my heart, and if I ever come across as less than honest or biased I pray that those with equally good hearts will let me know so I can always stay true to my ministry. Sending you huge hugs!!
Love these tips. For wig drying, I use cheapy cheap shower curtain rings (from the dollar store) that I just loop through the tag. I hang them from the shelf above my washer - if it drips, it goes in the machine. And I just bought the Aussie Curly gel and used it on my bio hair. I didn’t really like it on my hair but will try it on wigs. I use Brandywine Volume Mousse (provides lots of volume!), peace out, and wig hair spray. But I want some of that Wig Wax! By the way, this color and style looks great on you!
I have worn wigs for 14 years now but only recently have found these MOST informative & HELPFUL videos. Aside from showing how to make a few alterations, they have given me courage to go beyond my " comfort zone" re: style AND color! Thank you! The wig that you are wearing is VERY flattering from the front, however the back does not seem to lie smooth at the neckline...it "sticks out". I've had this problem on my shorter wigs as they have aged, but NOT usually on new wigs. Any comment???
Wow! I thought wigs were wear and go. I didn't know they were so involved. Just as much of headache as real hair; I think. This video is very helpful for newbies to wigs. I have been wearing wigs for two years and didn't know about most of these products or why you would use them. I am using Jon Renau Easihair Shampoo and Conditioner. My wigs seem to wear out quickly using this product. I will try the Estetica Designs Cleanse & Clarify Wig Shampoo & Conditioner you recommended. Very informative video. Thanks, Denise.
Hi Denise I really got a lot of item's from this video that I been wanting and needed now as I am learning so much from you and other wig sisters.Thank you so much for all you do for us. I am so grateful! ❤
I am brand new to wig wearing and I an so happy to have found you. Your suggestions are amazing and will help me so much in my wig journey. Thanks so much !
I just wanted you to know that you have helped me so much on this crazy wig journey. I was diagnosed with Alopecia last year and left devastated and started wearing wigs. Now with God's help I look at wigs like an accessory to any outfit just like a pair of shoes or a purse and then I found your channel and it really helped me and while right now I don't have the money to support your channel...see I'm on disability I do pray for you often! Please continue to make your videos and maybe in the future I'll be able to financially support your channel. Have a blessed day my friend!
Hi! I am so sorry I got so behind on responding to comments, but today I am spending a few hours getting caught up. I just wanted you to know that your prayers mean EVERYTHING to me! Way way more than any other support, so THANK YOU! I just said a prayer for you as well. HUGS!
You are just the best! Alopecia last 35 years…and yes, it’s very bad….. You give hope to those of us that don’t want to look like we are wearing a Wig…much less a bad wig! I usually take mine to a hairdresser to make it look like me, but at home I have to do some real magic to keep it at its best. Your tips and suggestions I will work into my personal wig care. I have a lot of girls in my/closet😉😉😉 Best, MCP
Wow. Thanks so much for the video. I just ordered my first wig - Alva by Noriko. It arrives on Friday. After watching this video I am confident in ordering the products you've recommended. Thank you
I just wanted to jump onto comments really quickly and say that I am SO GLAD you joined one of the SRB lives recently and that Rachel mentioned your channel! The information I'm learning from you is priceless and you just have this magical way of making me feel less overwhelmed about this new wig wearing journey. The kindness and loving spirit you have just bursts right out of you and you make me feel so welcomed and understood....so THANK YOU!! I truly appreciate all of your hard work and I really appreciate you sharing your vast knowledge with all of us "newbies"! 💜💜💜
She's definitely been a life saver for me. I'm just starting to wear wigs to & I'm still lost but the wigs are just to expensive to ruin from not knowing. 💝💝💝
Hi Denise. I am a new wig wearer and I can't begin to tell you how helpful this video is! You answered so many of my questions and gave great tips. I even took notes. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
My first one was Gabor Designer Series Own The Room in Iced Sweet Cream color. I wish I knew I needed to be doing something to the ends of that wig. After a few months of regular use, the ends are dry, frizzy and look bad from friction possibly? Would that product you showed in the larger container restore it? Or is it just done? Its sad how fast it happened. Still learning and I appreciate how much this video has helped! Im going to checkout your series for new wig wearers. Thanks for sharing! Much Love! God Bless! 🙂💖💙
Hi! I am so sorry I feel behind on responding to comments and questions. When the ends of a heat friendly wig start to get frayed like that, the only thing that will really help is heat. You can use the silicone mix and it might help, but it won't be enough. Here is a video I did on that: czcams.com/video/zlRObWDdVtc/video.html If your wig is curly or wavy, then STEAM is a better option, here is that video: czcams.com/video/Ma2dBwjKElk/video.html Sometimes a wig is just too far gone, though.... this happen more frequently with curly and wavy wigs, so it is best to apply heat regularly to prevent that.
Great video! Thanks for all the info. I’m a relatively new wig wearer and it was interesting to me to hear about all the products you use to style your wigs. I’ve not used any yet but will definitely be trying some of them. Especially the wax and the Simply Stylin’ spray. Thanks so much, Denise. 💕
I am VERY prone to migraines from scents, so I appreciate all the info on not only the strength of the scents but a description of them. Saved me plenty of $$ on silicone mix. The JR wide tooth comb is THE Best! I don’t know why, it just is! ❤the Tressallure wig wax is awesome if only for bangs that are a scoop h to long and you don’t want to trim :)
I just found your channel today and you seem so sweet! I must say the ice blonde looks so beautiful with your skin tone and eye color! Your gorgeous! I’ll be spending this rainy day bing watching your channel lol. And here’s the funny part, I don’t even own a wig! For some reason I just enjoy them even though I currently don’t wear one. I would like to get one some day. While my hair has thinned with age it’s not to the point I need to but aren’t they so fun to wear even if you don’t “need” one!
Omgosh!!! You have no idea how BADLY I needed these. You're videos are a blessing. Now I at least have some ideas. Thank you for youre honest about finding our own way...but still giving you're opinion. Thank you God bless ❤
I absolutely love your enthusiasm and your energy not to mention all of your informative videos. Thank you so much for all the tips and information you provide !
I am just starting this journey thanks to hair loss. Do you wash the wigs before wearing them? Thank you so much for all these videos. I am going to watch all of them!!!! So far only the buzzed pros and cons. When I do get some wigs in, I will be buzzing. I am getting more confident. Thank you and all the others, let's me know I am not alone
Hi! I am so sorry I fell so far behind on comments, but today I am spending a few hours trying to get caught up. You may have already gotten your answer somewhere else, but wanted to chime in since you asked. I do not wash my synthetic wigs before wearing. Every wash shortens the life of a synthetic so I try to avoid washing unless absolutely necessary... I wear them as long as I possibly can before washing. Sometimes they do need some water to get rid of box hair and perk them up after living in a box... in that case I just use plain water and either spray it down with a spray bottle, or for really bad cases on curly wigs I'll soak in cool water in the sink for a bit and then let it dry.
Hi Denise. The wig you are wearing really suits & flatters you. I adore RW's shaded biscuit rooted shade. Your videos are helpful & informative. Thanks. I'm in the UK and a wig wearer for nearly 5 yrs now.
Greetings Denise! Thank you so much for your recommendations. I ordered some clips that you shared with us and I really like them. I am going to Amazon to get some new stuff now! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Hi Denise, I’m 71 years old and have worn wigs 60 plus years because of my Alopecia. I have always had bangs and was wondering how the lace wigs hold up if you use glue and how long will it last because human hair is very costly. I am very careful with mine and have made my wig last years. I loved your video. It was very informative. Thank you
This was an amazing video, Denise. Thanks so much for the time and effort you took to make it! I was looking for tips on how to tame flyaways, and your video told me that and so much more. You mentioned several products that I will definitely try. I'm also in need of a product that will add some body to an Estetica Sky I recently purchased. I was told dry shampoo might accomplish that. What do you think?
Thank you so much for all your help. You are my favorite. I just put an order for four of these products including the Hot Tools brush. May God bless you and help you to continue doing your good work.
I just discovered your channel And you are AWESOME. I love you already! I am so looking forward to going back & watching all your how to & tip videos! They should keep me happy all winter! THANK YOU!!
YAY! Thank you so much for watching and taking time to comment!! I have SO MANY new ideas for videos! Please let me know if you ever have an idea for one... I keep a list!
Hi Denise! 😀 Thanks for the update. I watched your previous video on your favorites and purchased some of the items. Everything you recommended worked out well for me. I appreciate all the suggestions. You are a blessing. Thanks again and God Bless you!🤗
Fabulous video Denise. A few newbie products in there. I used your technique with a Copic Marker to tone down a RW topper and it worked well. The front of the topper around my face looked like a cheap bleach job. I used a grey/taupe colour and it is now wearable. I promised myself to never order RW again but golly you look so good in Real Deal I am tempted.
Copic markers are great to root or even add colors to the units. I love Copics, they are refillable and the nibs are replaceable. Hubs uses them for his sketching. I think he’s hiding them from me now! 😁
Hey Denise ... just catching this video today ... the Simply Stylin products (for me) are so oily, even when I use it sparingly. I do use the Bambu conditioner when needed and I put my wig in a ziplock and wrap the ziplock in a hand towel and then I fill my sink with hot water and immerse the wrapped ziplock into the hot water and leave it for a long while. I will empty the sink and refresh with hot water again. It makes a big difference in the condition of the wig, honestly! Thank you for always giving the best advice and tips and opinions! 😉
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts. I find the Simply Stylin' to work better on some styles than others. I love it on curly wigs, and on the nape of long wigs whether curly or straight. As for the Bambu conditioner, so many people recommend it, but I have struggled with it. I find the smell WAY too overpowering for me (and I've tried both of the kinds that people recommend), and it lingers forever no matter how well I rinse it. And it never really softens my wigs... I don't understand it! The truth is, every single technique and product out there work for some people and not for others. I can't explain why, but after 4.5 years of making videos, I've heard IT ALL! And I know for a fact this is true. Some people swear by using Woolite and Fabric softener to wash and condition their wigs, but I've heard from others that say it nearly ruined their wig... so difficult!!!
By the way, I have been using It Stays for about 20 years….but not on my wigs. I wear a prosthesis on my leg and years ago, the prosthetist recommended the product to keep my sleeve from sliding down. Worked amazing and I have been using it off and on for years. Funny, tho, I rarely wear lace front (too expensive) so I don’t use It Stays for wigs. (Also works on keeping clothing from sliding around)
Just bought my first wig. I am losing my hair due to autoimmune issues. I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you so much. I wish you would show how to cut a wig.
Hi! Thank you so so much!! I am working on practicing different cutting techniques so I can make a good video.... I do show it on a headband wig in this video: czcams.com/video/FhKLWJowGRc/video.html HUGS!
You’re my favorite and most helpful wig tipster and reviewer. Thanks for all you do. On a side note, I love your dog in the background. What’s his or her name? Looks like an old soul and always sleeping so peacefully ♥♥
What's the name of your makeup brush you like. I think it's the only product you didn't name in this video. You are amazing!!! Thank you so much for your help!
Denise, I LOVE your videos and your generous spirit!! Can you go through airport security with the metal in eartabs? If not, what do you do? Thank you so much for everything! Love to you
Hi! I have never had an issue, although I haven't flown a lot. I've heard from TONS of women on this and 99% of them have had no issues. There have been a few, though, who said their wig set up the metal detector. One thing I don't know, though, is what type of metal was in their wig. Some wigs come with metal clips and combs, which is more metal than a tiny little stay in an ear tab. If that tiny stay is all you have, I wouldn't worry about it. It is always possible, if the machine sensitivity is turned way up, but it is unlikely. I would travel with a wig without worry, and if for some reason something happens, I would tell the worker that I have alopecia and am wearing a wig, and if just touching my head isn't enough ask if there is a private room for you to take off your wig as your hairloss has been very difficult.
Thanks Denise. I have watched at least 50 wig videos and I have really enjoyed this one. In fact, I just ordered "Real Deal" in Shaded Platinum because I liked it so much on you. I can't wait for it to arrive!
Hi I’m so glad I’ve found your channel. I need some wig help. I now own around 9 wigs and have a problem with then matting/knotting at the nape of the neck. What do you recommend?
Thank you for this video. I recently bought the Alva by Noriko in silver stone. I love it. I would like to know how to soften the new shine of the white areas. Is there any product that helps with the shine? I've learned so much from your video🥰 Thank you.
I have heard from many many MANY that dry shampoo is the way go to to lessen shine. I haven't tried this because I haven't really had to deal with shine on wigs but so many people say it is a great solution that I am convinced it must be! There are so many different dry shampoos on the market that you definitely have a wide selection!! A bonus is that it can help add some texture to the roots and give lift if you want, I HAVE tried that and it works somewhat. Doesn't give crazy lift but can help with a little if that is what is needed.
Wowsa. Love the Real Deal you're wearing in the above video. You look fabulous. That's the farthest thing from a "wiggy" look I've ever seen. Looks so natural. But when I view it on others on youtube, none look nearly as good as your video above. Did you shape it, cut it, trim it? I used to wear wigs when a hairdresser burned my hair off. They all seemed like too much hair, too much permatease, too shiny etc. But seeing you above in Real Deal and now having thin, fine hair, maybe it's time to try again. Real Deal looks perfect. Any suggestions on how you got the cute, straight minimalist look? Thank you.
Oh my!! THANK YOU!!! I especially need to lighten the roots on my Finn wig by Estetica. The one I have is just super dark but the newest one was much better. Also is there any way to highlight the roots? Going back to that one Finn wig theres absolutely no highlighting in the root system & it's such a stark contrast. For some reason I'm not getting notifications from you. I have to just come back every now & then to check for a new post. It's so aggravating. I'll forget sometimes to come back as often without the notification. Again, I sure do thank you for all the info & by the way you can get the Bell Madame from a small shop I believe is in NY & not have to pay the UK post on it. If you can't find it just send me a message & I'll be happy to give you their info. 💝💝💝
This was a GREAT video...sooo helpful and informative to this new wig lady. Could you show a styling wig series like RW's down Time from box to product photo style....on long w/ waves in lower layers...You are so kind to share your experience w/ wigs with us esp me a new wiggy CONFUSED wakky lady!!! Thank you!!! God Bless you!!!! Marian
You look stunning in your wig. The color is perfect for you on camera. You did it again...Winner! Thanks for your time and important info we may consider.
... well done! thx for all ur tips, tricks 'n styling faves ... u & ur videos are all so helpful 'n informative. Also, don't think I've seen a wig that didn't light up when it got fit to ur beautiful canvas. bw's!
Hey Denise! It’s 12:53 am in Tennessee. I just watched one of your videos. I LOVE your “down to earth” delivery!!! You covered so much in this video; however, you didn’t touch on my question. I find that some of my wigs are way too shiny when I get them; so much so, in fact, that I am hesitant to wear them because I don’t want people to point at me and say to themselves, “oh, she’s wearing a WIG!” Do you know of a product and/or treatment that will help to remove shine from wigs??? Thank you so very much in advance 😘!
Hi! Dry shampoo works wonders to tamp down shine. If the wig is a brunette I would use a dry shampoo made for brown hair so that you don't get a white caste on it.
Hi Denise! Just an FYI for everybody. The brush you showed to put powder on a wig part and the furniture markers. I’ve gotten both at Dollar Tree. And they both work great! So there’s no need to spend a lot of money.

Hi, Julie! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I appreciate you taking time to comment!!
Denise your an anchor in this up and down wig wearing journey we're on! Thank you 💖
Your support means the world to me! 😍
Oh my gosh..yes...thank you
I can vouch for copic markers they are a game changer for rooting , thank you Denise for your gracious sharing, you were born for this , God Bless xx
Copic markers are also refillable, and the nibs can be replaced.
You can find the refills on line or some art supply stores.

I agree the Jon Renau shampoo and conditioner don't seem to be the best for wigs. I've experienced this myself and heard it from many.

Hi Denise! Thank for these awesome tips!!! I really like your adorable canine helper in the background!
Thanks! The boys are ever present!!

ColorWow is a waterproof root powder (available in blonde) that can be used to cover dark roots.
Great suggestion- I have not tried it.

Love the Simply Styling-a very little bit of it goes a very long way. Thanks, Denise.
Love the hair BTW, looks wonderful and so classic :-)

Hi! I am so sorry I feel behind on responding to comments and questions. When the ends of a heat friendly wig start to get frayed like that, the only thing that will really help is heat. You can use the silicone mix and it might help, but it won't be enough. Here is a video I did on that: czcams.com/video/zlRObWDdVtc/video.html
If your wig is curly or wavy, then STEAM is a better option, here is that video: czcams.com/video/Ma2dBwjKElk/video.html
Sometimes a wig is just too far gone, though.... this happen more frequently with curly and wavy wigs, so it is best to apply heat regularly to prevent that.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks again Denise! Bought a bunch of your must haves....headbands are my #4 serves so many purposes
Wonderful! Thank you so much!!
What a great video! I think the furniture markers will be a must have for me!!!
For sure! THANK YOU!
This was quite possibly the best, most informative video I've watched in quite a while. Thank you so much!
YAY! I'm thrilled to hear it!
You are so welcome!
You are my go to gal! I'm learning a lot from you, thank you SO much
.
Wonderful! HUGS right back!!
Thank you for your time and expertise. ❤
You are so welcome!
You look amazing and so classy/CEO in that platinum wig, Wear more!
Thank you!! My husband doesn't usually like straight bobs on me but he LOVES this one! HUGS!
I just love your videos and always such great information! Thanks Denise💞
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for all your help. You are my favorite. I just put an order for four of these products including the Hot Tools brush. May God bless you and help you to continue doing your good work.
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching!
Wowed.. that wig looks FABULOUS on you
Dear Denise I'am so glad to find you on you tube ; I like à lot what you do and it's help me.😊
I'm so glad! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Hi Denise! 😀 Thanks for the update. I watched your previous video on your favorites and purchased some of the items. Everything you recommended worked out well for me. I appreciate all the suggestions. You are a blessing. Thanks again and God Bless you!🤗
I am thrilled to hear this!
You look beautiful with this wig! (Bye from the Netherlands)
Thank you so much!
I just ordered the Simply Stylin spray as my long wigs get tangled at the nape. Thanks for all the suggestions!
You are so welcome! It has been two months since you commented (I'm so sorry for the delay in responding)... how do you like it?
That is such a great color and wig on you! How fun! Thank you for all you do to educate us!
Thanks, Michelle!
I am THRILLED it worked for you!! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Copic markers are great to root or even add colors to the units.
I love Copics, they are refillable and the nibs are replaceable.
Hubs uses them for his sketching. I think he’s hiding them from me now! 😁
I need to learn how to set beachy waves in my medium length wig. Help! The wig beachy waves are all but gone!
I agree the bell madame is wonderful!
Your information is so helpful thank you.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching 💕
Really enjoyed this I am a new wig person 😊
Love your dog chilling in the background!
I've heard that about clothes! I don't wear clothes like that anymore but if I ever do again I'll have to remember to try it!!
I use it on my heels to keep my no-show peds socks from sliding down my foot. Great stuff, I just wish the bottle didn't get so sticky on the outside.
Just bought my first wig. I am losing my hair due to autoimmune issues. I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you so much. I wish you would show how to cut a wig.
Hi! Thank you so so much!! I am working on practicing different cutting techniques so I can make a good video.... I do show it on a headband wig in this video: czcams.com/video/FhKLWJowGRc/video.html
HUGS!
Thank you so much for this video, it's really helpful.
You bet! ❤️
Thanks Denise. You’ve provided a lot of useful information and tips!
Glad it was helpful!
You are amazing, you've made it so easy for me to look after these wigs I have, new subscriber now
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you for all of this great information. I've watched many of your videos - super helpful! God bless you.
Thank you so much! HUGS!
Best EVER look on you, colors AND style 😳❣️
Thank you so much!
If you wanted, you could use dark brown sharpie to add roots in the very front 😊 not sure if that's something you already do or not.
Thanks Denise. I have watched at least 50 wig videos and I have really enjoyed this one. In fact, I just ordered "Real Deal" in Shaded Platinum because I liked it so much on you. I can't wait for it to arrive!
I hope you LOVE it! I just live mine so much (I have it in 2 colors and am so tempted to get another in a different color)
Hi I’m so glad I’ve found your channel. I need some wig help. I now own around 9 wigs and have a problem with then matting/knotting at the nape of the neck. What do you recommend?
Fantastic video!!!
So much great information, thank you so much!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Denise, great video and I love your hair. May I ask where you got the big tub of bambu?
On Amazon, I linked it in the companion document on my website along with all the other products I showed.
Thank you.
Great video. Thank you so much, Denise. 🤗❤️
You bet!!
So thorough! So sweetly done! Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much!
Great video Denise, so many fantastic tips!
Wonderful tip list. Very helpful.
I'm so glad!

I love that shade too!

You look so glamorous is this wig!
It is a favorite!
The silver is fanastic on you.
Thank you!
Thank you! You are a wealth of information 🎉
You are so welcome!
I love the wig you are wearing the color is amazing how much do these sell for?
