    The fact that Prince would give the spotlight to other musicians speaks to how wonderful and humble he was. The world suffered such a loss when he passed.

      Thats right but he always knew that Morris Day could steal the show in any gig, thats why Prince only gave him 1 minute exactly on this performance. Morris became a monster (created by him of course) and was his eternal rival. RIP Prince.

      Yes sir, 12mins of real music. Imagine this...his concerts going on avg. 2hrs-2 1/2hrs then a couple hrs later having a after party show that goes well into the early morning hrs. There is no one on planet earth that does that. I've been to 4 concerts and 1 after party show and let me tell you the after party was such a treat. Usually went like this...go to concert and at the end of that hearing an announcement stating the after party location. People would rush to that location and it was first come first serve basis. Free admission and it would fill up to building capacity. Such a blessing to be a part of his performances. God bless and remember to always Liv4luv

      @@josepha.8893 No sir Morris Day and the time were a side project that Prince created as a rival only in the movie Purple Rain. Morris and some members were good friends of Prince in their school days and continued through out his career. "The Bird" and "Junglelove" were written, composed and produced by Prince. The Time toured with Prince many many shows. It was surely a joy to experience. God bless and remember to Liv4luv

      @vearzany buggs A friend of mine introduced me to Dirty Mind album. That was my first real exposure to the man who would become my all-time favorite artist. I saw Purple Rain on the first day, first showing it came out. I've seen it so many times that I can pretty much do the script by heart. Lol. I agree, his best music was with The Revolution, but he kept coming with the hits and uniqueness that only a tried and true fan could fully appreciate!

      @Dirtcake71 Před 3 lety

      @vearzany buggs I absolutely remember those groups! My cousin introduced me to the family (he was a Prince fan before I was so he was deeper into the side projects) and Screams of Passion. I wish I had the opportunity to meet any of them, even now just to ask how those masterpieces of music were thought of and created. I watched Morris' interview with DJ Vlad three times. Lol. The Time, for having such a short run, are music royalty and whenever they get on stage it's sure to make people move their bodies because they have no choice once the beat drops! I can't describe the feeling I get when I hear, "WHAT TIME IS IT????!!!!" except pure adrenaline!!! 😂 😂 😂

I am especially loving Prince’s blues and gospel inspired work. It’s amazing to see his style shift thru the years. What a tragedy to have lost him😢💜

Just pure, unadulterated, music. The man never looked tired, sounded like his music and entertained the WHOLE show😍🔥 I'm thankful that God allowed him to use his gift for so many years and he can live on through it. Nobody comes close to Prince 🙏🏾 RIP Prince Nelson Rogers aka The Artist

    I don't even know half of these songs and this was amazing. I love when an artist can set back and let someone else shine. People always say Prince was this and he was that, but this dude showed respect to people. He may not have always liked certain people, but he never really went out of his way to disrespect someone. If you asked him why he did something or didn't do something, he was honest, and people didn't like that.

      Fake cough he didn't like Sinead O'Connor lol. Yes I agree he always shined the light on other musicians that he admired. So many I couldn't give an accurate account. Sheila E though was one of his greatest proteges. In this performance he honored The Impressions, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Carlos Santana and of course The Time. Great Set list he put together and it makes me happy you enjoyed it. My love for Prince started age 9 when I "borrowed" my sister's record album 1999. God bless and remember to Liv4luv

    My beautiful enigma was born for the stage. Respected, and regarded as one of, if not the greatest musician of all time. He graced the stage, and even the most distinguished ladies, and gentle can help but acknowledge that they are in the presence of a musical genius by busting a move. Prince flowed so naturally, and it appear, although through hard work effortless. I love you Prince.

      I'm inclined to remove "one of, if not" from your statement.
      I don't fully commit because, there were a lot of musicians before him, and I feel he would deem it disrepectful to someone more deserving..

      Respected, and regarded as one of, if not the greatest musician of all time. - Remove "One of, if not"- what does it leave..?
      I doubt he would admit he was the greatest, feeling he disrespected "better musicians" if we managed to bestow that acolade on him.
      I did have a dig at his height.. But essentially I was pointing out that so much Quality and Class were never crammed into such a small space.
      I love that look he gives Sheila at the end after she has destroyed that cymbal..

    I love that he paid homage ... Clearly he learned a lot from Larry Graham, as he definitely did justice to "the Jam" slapping that bass, and Lawd, that Aretha cover was amazing too .... Sheila E just keeps getting younger, and Prince has been severely and unfairly underrated as a guitarist in his own right. His fret work is beyond incredible here, and at the induction of George Harrison into the R&R HOF ceremony. RIP ANGEL!
