It's really cool to see people growing their own food. It would be great if more people acquired this habit. In addition to improving our health by consuming healthier foods, we contribute to preserving our planet by reducing the use of pesticides. Congratulations on sharing your knowledge and experience with us.

They do! I am conflicted about planting sweet potatoes again. On the one hand, they seem to be one of the easiest to grow, but they require so much space!

I’m so impressed with how many sweet potatoes you harvested from the first bag. I’m sorry you’re getting some ignorant comments though. Kind regards from the UK

Why didn't you dig the straggler vines? Those wayward vines when hit a soil it bears a tubers. Pardon my broken English . I'm a farmer here in the Pacific.

I thought so, too, so I checked some of the vines that were touching the ground, but none of them actually "rooted". Next time, I will try to make sure that the ground are soft enough for them to root.

Japanese sweet potatoes don't yield good in the US. Try the local, it's guaranteed. You know, watching yer dainty hand s, my head made an ache Everytime yet hand attempted to dig. It's not a farmer's wife hands.

I am not going for the biggest harvest, but I am trying to grow sweet potatoes I grew up with in Korea. As for my hands, they are not as "dainty" as you think they are. As a bass player, I have quite a callous. ;)
