I think I've got it! Excellent instructions! Nice music! Basically it's working two stitches at a time or in pairs that are crossed over forming an 'x' and held at the base. The first free working yarn loop is pulled through the loop held at the back of the 'x' pair then the next free working loop is pulled through the front loop of the 'x' held in the hand. The solid light colored yarn was helpful to see the stitches and the pauses to tidy the rows and working yarn were very helpful. Thank you so much! You cleared up the confusion over what next means and which loop crosses over and in front of it's pair and in what direction. Thanks again! I'm making the simple scarf, 14 loops, with two balls.
Thankfully I found this video! The book from your company does not include all these steps in their written instructions. I kept wondering what to do with the leftover loop prior to joining top & bottom. I found the answer at minute 10:26 to 11:05
Stupid question here.....when you pick back up the dropped stitch after the second row does that dropped stitch become the first one or the second one? if that makes any sense I thought I had it figured out but I guess I dont I just had to rip it out, again
I somehow lost a loop, I started out with 70 and now I have 69. Tips to rectify this without pulling out 3+ rows? I can’t tell where I made the mistake.
I was doing the cross cross for a throw and decided I needed it wider but can;t figure out how to add to criss cross. Also I was under assumption you had to cast on and then start criss cross. I also needed to add to the beginning as needed more length but needed to add color to the beginning and couldn’t line my criss crosses up any guidance?
Jerri Estep what is your current throw length and *how many balls did you use. I want to make a throw too, but I don’t know how many balls I would need or *the dimensions I should follow. You mentioned you wanted to add on, so how many loops would you suggest and how many balls? I have made 1 throw already, but that was what seemed like a loose looping yarn and not as fluffy as the Bernat Blanket ez. The loops and threads brand is what I used. It stretches a lot and there are big holes in it, unlike how the Bernat appears. I have only found a pattern for the cowl. Does your throw stretch easily and show big gaps? Thanks! How many rows did you finish when you decided it’s long enough
She said 26 inches I dont know how many rows that is though
Interesting, one question the beginning of tutorial doesn't explain how to get the loops, how is that done?
