No this truck isn’t I had looked at the tmc trucks but went with this one for the longer wheel base for comfort and the dark navy blue really looks good in the sunlight

A lot of us finding customers that have plenty of freight to move that you haul it for or you can get on load boards that brokers post needing moved and call on the load

I am in Sumter SC, and use to load up where you were just at all the time. Did a lot of running steel down to Florida, and then haul Palm Trees back up to SC for the return trip. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in the truck!

I used to drive OTR and thought later down the road about getting a couple trucks and a few trailers to get another source of income coming in. Trying to do the grunt work now where I can take it easy and hunt and fish in my later years lol. Proud of you brother. Be safe on the road!

My grandfather Lester Jones drove for Eastern tennessee &western nc transportation company out of Johnson city,tn from the 1940's till he retired in 1978. Also my dads baby brother Joe Denton drove a long time for Averitt Express making the long drive 5 nights a week from Kingsport,tn down to their Chattanooga hub terminal. I have worked in corporate offices of both overnite transportation before they became ups freight ( from 1988 to 1993) and in Estes Express Lines richmond,va office since September of 1993. I work in ttaffic/ pricing audits side of the business. Get's old working at a desk over the past 32 years,but it is hard to walk away when Estes pays me very good wages. Our Estes Fleet is mostly big Freightliner model tractors at Estes,but them Peterbilts are also some really nice tractors.
Yes we have wsy too many idiot drivers in passenger vehicles tgat simply do not respect the big rigs. Guess they are too stupid to realize that a big sleeper tractor and a loaded 53' trailer can easily weigh over 75 to 90k. Takes about a football field distance to slow them big beast down.
If in the Orangeburg,sc area and need to get around any bad wrecks,then contact my cousin Michael Davis on Facebook. He drove over the road nationwide for many years before a tanker erosion caused him to lose a majority of his sight. He could give you good advise abour all the access roads by the interstate highways in the south.
been a long time follower richey. always wanted to do driving truck schools were too much for me or required way to much of a driver. but yeah it bad on the roads. i had a slam on my breaks in my van to let a truck over so he didnt hit another car that pulled in front of him. best of luck and will keep watching.
Man I have travelled that stretch of Hwy 1 many times. That I20 work has been ridiculous. Next time you are passing through near exit 39 give me a shout...you will be near my house👍. Some great burgers available near that exit😁💯

What do you mean stick to what I know? I knew trucking before lawn care. The regulations in lawn care are not much different then trucking I still have to abide by fmsca plus you get to add bonuses of pesticide and herbicide regulations
i used to trailer jockey at a warehouse using a freight shaker. probably why i appreciate Ferris suspensions so much.

Sometimes even shutting it off wouldn’t even work. Found out when we replaced the clutch half the spring were gone or broken too.

Yea the clutch brake we was bad along with a bunch of other parts lol we found a lot of half ass work the previous owner had, had done to it.
