    For a backup battery pack, I use three rechargeable 3.7VDC AA-sized Li-Ion cells and 5 dummy cells so I don't keep depleting those non-rechargeable alkaline cells.

    If you used the new buffing brush on the Dremel it works great

    You can buy lithium iron batteries for the etrac and they used to last well

      @@HistoryRevisiteduk It's good to use older machines, don't underestimate them, I've just got myself a mint condition Tesoro/Laser Rapier 2, it's a sweet little machine, Nexus units are vicious in all areas but they're hard to get your head around, when you do there's nothing quite like them. The Legend has been performing amazingly on the Thames, I've found so much in a very short space of time with it, Looking forward to more hunts of yours with the E-Trac

    They're running the last of these (Etrac) out in Australia for £449 in a couple of stores at the moment, so I grabbed myself one. Super interested to see how it goes....

      @@HistoryRevisiteduk Yeah, I still hear good things. Getting out for the first time with it it tomorrow. I'm gonna go over a few spots that have been hit hard with Nox's and see if I can turn up anything new.

      @@HistoryRevisiteduk I got it out for the first time today. I just love this thing, you're so right about the tones as well. It's on the heavier side, but I'm a fairly big guy so that won't be a problem. I pulled out a few coins in my yard within the first 20 mins and I must have smashed that area with the Nox and other things at least 20 times. Very impressed, I'll say that.

    There's a local one being sold for $300. Same model but was wondering if you would buy it for that price. Or is it better to buy a new detector at that price range?

    • @HistoryRevisiteduk
      @HistoryRevisiteduk  Před 5 měsíci

      It’s a steal for that price when they first come out was over £1000

      @@HistoryRevisiteduk thanks for the reply. I went ahead and bought it for $300. He was asking $400 but accepted $300. Now it is time to learn more in detail. But let me ask since there's a lot of people going to parks and it is more bare by now. I was considering looking for gold nuggets out by the river. Because I live in California and the rivers come to mind because of the good old gold rush that was back in the day. Any thoughts on that?
      Edit: would it even work in the river using a water proof bag?
