This is the most ancient story in the world--it has survived because it embodies the basic fact of human life. A fact that has not changed one iota; amid all the superficial changes of civilization's vivid array, this fact remains: the conflict of Good and Evil; the fight between Man and the Devil; the eternal struggle of human nature against sin. That the Adam and Eve story pervaded the thoughts of ancient writers is seen in the large number of versions that exist, or whose existence may be traced, through the writings of Greeks, Syrians, Egyptians, Abyssinians, Hebrews, and other ancient peoples. As a lawyer might say who examines so much apparently unrelated evidence--there must be something back of it. The version which we give here is the work of unknown Egyptians (the lack of historical allusion makes it impossible to date the writing). Parts of this version are found in the Talmud, the Koran, and elsewhere, showing what a vital role it played in the original literature of human wisdom. The Egyptian author first wrote in Arabic (which may be taken as the original manuscript) and that found its way farther south and was translated into Ethiopic. For the present English translation we are indebted to Dr. S. C. Malan, Vicar of Broadwindsor, who worked from the Ethiopic edition edited by Dr. E. Trumpp, Professor at the University of Munich. Dr. Trumpp had the advantage of the Arabic original, which makes our bridge over the gap of many centuries a direct one. The reading of these books is an adventure. You will find the mind of man fed by the passions, hopes, fears of new and strange earthly existence rioting, unrestrained, in the zest of self-expression. Did you know that King Henry V was the real antiChrist? He created the identification we use today which is the NAME and NUMBER and he was shot under the eye with an arrow. The arrowhead went all the way through his face and got stuck in the back of his noggin, they could only get the shaft out and he lived the rest of his life with an arrowhead in his head. That would mean that everyone is damned and already have your so called "real mark" and that nothing we do matters at this point. Because we all know once you have the mark there is no saving you. And the mark of the beast isnt a chip. First of all, this mark is the anti-Shema. The writing on the forehead and hand-it’s a clear reference to the Shema-an ancient Jewish prayer of allegiance to God that’s found in the book of Deuteronomy (chapter 6, vs. 4). This prayer also was written on the forehead and hand as a symbol of devoting all your thoughts and actions to the one true God (Deuteronomy 6:8). But now the system put in place by the beasts demands allegiance and forces everyone to decide who they will follow.

Sabbath always was, still is, and will always be on Saturday.
Yes i felt the same way when i read this and prayed about it and believe that the Holy Spirit said to my spirit which relayed it into my mind that this book being translated into English by a modern American in 1926 would have been uninformed of the sabbath from the correct Hebraic perspective from what we call friday at sunset to saturday at sunset as you know. The translator was wrongly influenced and still blinded in this area of his beliefs by the same common Roman Catholic doctrines we still see influence every protestant assembly as well sadly. We know how corrupt Rome is and how their pagan churches changed the sabbath from saturday to sun god day. I am convinced that in the original Hebrew, then Aramaic and Greek copies which sadly we don t have anymore, used the word sabbath or 7th day of the week and the American Catholic influenecd minded scholar simply wrote the wrong word in our English translation or better referred to as bible approximation. So there is no error in this book or the 2nd that Ive ever found. Im convinced that these two books are extra inspired by YaHoVaH! So be encouraged and keep reading and studying these two books of Adam and Eve so the Ruach can show you many blessings in them as happened to me. They are my favorite books now as a part of Torah and the Tanakh! They have prophesies in them which the gospels of Matthew and John are dependent on! @@shanedevins Im not sure why so many people dont take Genesis literally when they should. And people make up metaphoric interpretations as the main way of perception but that works usually as an additional esoteric layer of it. But the first rule of acurate interpretation is known as "PaRDeS" in Hebrew and it shows the main 4 layers of proper interpretation of scripture. The first one is P'shot and means the literal historical level and is the most important one. And the other layers are Remez whic means hint and hints as something deeper beneath the surface not obvious on the top. The 3rd layer is D'rash as in the Hebrew word MiDrash which means expand, commentary and gives us a bigger picture meaning by putting multiple concepts and verses on the same topic all together for an expanded view. The last layer is Sode and means hidden and is only seen by revelation by the Holy Spirit and meditating on scripture and Hebraic culture and ancient eastern way of thinking. There is also context and the whole counsel and ancient eastern Hebraic culture for accurate Hermaneutics. I agree that there is another deeper meaning that serpent people mixed together as hybrids both biologically by the Fallen angels who spliced dna from various genus family kinds of creatures violating God's original design but also all humans who make it last the age of accountability and commit their first sin when mentally knowin better which makes it a transgression, dies spiritually as Paul told us happened to him in Romans 7. Then only some of us who are elected get regenerated with another righteous spirit of our own from The Holy Spirit. Hope this helps you.😇

Pray and ask the Lord. Also when you research you will find it aligns with the Bible and it is true they had a lot of books and they “men” decided to use 66 books only and even then they still chose not to put the full story’s. Read Jasher, Enoch and the book of Jubilee.

@@therocker5943 Jubilees is not inspired and has a different name Awan as Cains wife. Adam and Eve clearly say it was Luluwa. I pick Adam and Eve as inspired and jubilees as history with some errors in it. I havent found any errors in either of the two.books of Adam and Eve after studying it for 5 years now. Jubilees also has Cain die very differently than what 2 Adam and Eve and Jasher both agree on.

Imagine, setting up temptation for his new children Adam and Eve in the midst of their dwelling, and then telling them NOT to eat of the fruit because it would make them like gods? Was God so powerless and helpless that they could not plant the "tree" elsewhere? And what is the point of the source of power at arm's reach if you can't have it? And why tell Adam and Eve about it in the first place?
In the modern world this would be called entrapment.
And when they succumb to temptation, their punishment was so harsh that they practically died from it! Eve accuses herself of a grave sin!
This legend is also why MOST religions hate and oppress women, because of Eve's supposed "sin". Just look at the way fundamentalist Islamic groups punish women, but not men, who commit adultery or who merely are in the presence of a boy to whom they are not related.
I don't know how believers accept this. Men would certainly be drawn to the power and status religion gives them. But women? They should soundly reject it.

The point is...The creator wanted to have men being powerful and able to be of freewill not like old programmed robots. Something similar to what scientists trying now with artificial intelligence with the modern sophisticated robots. A most powerful creator made us to be very powerful and without boundaries. He marveled about his creation and was pleased as we were made like him..but with less power. God is just and is not wicked. He is very compassionate and makes many lead ways for us to make it well with him,even after death..
