As vying as that is, it is subtle, but you notice that even with the chair added how much slower it launched him initially than the other two parallel projectiles?
I reckon you'd have to upscale it in a different way in order for it to work for larger masses.
I do say that's next on the agenda.
On a similar note, I see a fairly efficient delivery system onto planets. Also possibly a good way to test parachutes limitations.

If you could make a way to slow yourself down this would be a cool way to get to a space station. Maybe with a bunch of gravity generators or something.

You see this type of engineering is great. While it would be cool for the devs to add some new features, using the physics engine like an engineer to figure out new ways of doing stuff is great! I honestly hope people don't consider this an exploit. Cause while it technically is, its an amazing innovation and I would personally like to see people use it in combat, and figure out ways to defend from it etc.

I forgot there was a legitimate idea for quick orbit is a literal railgun irl, now that I've found it to be possible in space engineers I'm gonna be using it

I'm just guessing but entering atmosphere could be causing the blocks to explode because they're going from zero speed reduction (space) to atmospheric speed reduction in extremely high speeds which probably angers the clang. Also did you use speed limit extender mods or is this just vanilla?

@ Major Jon , If you could create a drop pod that launches from a station then lands safely on planet. Then launch it back by clang gun to the station and dock. Also, clang gun a person from station/ship to station/ship for transport or boarding. Even while they moving as well?
