  • Oildale is a census-designated place in Kern County, California, United States. Oildale is located 3.5 miles north-northwest of downtown Bakersfield, at an elevation of 469 feet The population was 32,684 at the 2010 census, up from 27,885 at the 2000 census. It is an unincorporated suburban town just north of Bakersfield across the Kern River, west of the Kern River Oil Field, and east of Highway 99.

    thank you for the video michael, i moved away a year ago and it's interesting seeing these streets ive walked up and down 100's of times. brings up a lot of memories.

      Nobody said this was bad and there are 100s of videos on Detroit and I'm pretty sure most viewers seen a few. People always gotta compare one city to the other saying corny stuff like this is Beverly Hills compared to Philly etc but never been to a hood in real life

    Why does everyone focus on the worst neighborhoods in Oildale. I’d like to see someone share the rest of Oildale instead of focusing on the most poverty and where the bulk of tweakers roam. Although I will say this video is calm at the moment for the area driven through. Try closer to China Grade Loop.

      K B is right. Everything north of China Grade loop is fine. Just typical suburban neighborhoods.
