    If you've used XTOOL scanners for key programming as well as other brand scan tools, what can you say about speed, comparatively? I've generally found XTOOL faster than my Autel's generally. What's your experience? Let's talk!😃

    Also, how do you get cut key blanks. Will Toyotta sell the blanks already cut?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG

      I think they should if you order it with your vehicle details, but I usually get the blanks and cut at a local locksmith. That gives me the best bang for my buck

    Thank you I have the X tool D8. Hopefully I can use that. Now how do I get the key blanks cut further ignition? I actually have a valet key, but no master key lost it at the beach yesterday.

      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 5 měsíci

      Men. You'll need to order a master blank. Then cut. The D8 will do it easily. I think valet vs master is in the chip not really the blade cut.

    Where did you get your key cut in order for you to program the key?

  • @Muscleman-You-know-who-else

    Hey, I got a 2009 Honda City (South East Asia) which was an automatic. Got into an accident had the transmission replaced to a manual. Now the car won’t start. The dash shows the key warning. Will I be able to reprogram the key with this method or you have other videos for this case?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před rokem

      Going from automatic to manual will definitely throw off the ECU if not done correctly. Unfortunately, this is not something I can advise on. Its best to stay with an automatic transmission.

    Which programmers do you recommend or is best for programming keys for Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus in USA? Thanks.

      Depends on how deep you want to go, D7, MK808 etc are good, but won't do all keys lost for some Lexus. You'll need an emulator. In that kind of scenario, the XTOOL IK618 with the KS100 accessory will be necessary. If you just want to add keys, the earlier options should be fine.

      If you mean replacing an ECU, yes. But it depends on the car.

      Did you ever find this out?

      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před rokem +1

      Hi. Confirmed. It will make a master key without an existing master key. As long as you have it cut and it can turn on the ignition. This is on a Totoya made for the US market.
