They are like a doctor who is getting paid and keeps his personal opinion to himself. I don't see this woman getting help for her shopping addiction, so she will most likely fill up that empty space they made for her with more junk. On Hoarders, Melba Green M.D. has pointed out that unless there is follow-up treatment, the person will fall back into old behavior.
Nobody can judge anyone else. She could be more organised, they could lose weight.

True depression is awful! The overwhelming need to hold on to âstuffâ is all consuming and the thought of getting rid of items (easy for others to say - just get ridâ / take it to a charity shop) incites such a fear of loss it just becomes overwhelming and induces panic. A terrible, desperately sad condition.

Her dog is so adorable and I love the way Pam pushes him or her around in a stroller like a baby. So cute! I love Corgis and their adorably large ears.
Dogs need exercise too they are not ornaments just because they are smaller đ

I *will* say, she takes VERY good of her disabled dog! How sweet!! But, other than that, I feel so sorry for her...

My dad has hoarded his house from top to bottom and the outside too. He also moved to his shed behind his house that is now almost full. He even forced his girlfriend and 4 kids to her moms. Still won't let us help him. I wish there was a team willing to help us.. Man o man
She is just the sweetest lady. My heart ached for her. I so happy she has a nice bed now and use of her bathroom. I also wish people were not so judgemental and cruel.

I am starting my own cleaning business. These kind of shows have inspired me. I love seeing people get a second lease on life afterwards, cleaning really isn't for everyone. What better gift to give to someone then a clean, livable space of their own.

My mum was a hoarder, but it wasn't as bad as that lady's house. I became a hoarder years ago but now I chuck everything I haven't seen or used in months. Glad that lady got the help she needed. I know how she feels, keeping things for years and years.

Hoarders are very resistant to outside interference, they will not allow anyone to touch their possessions.

If u suffer from hoarding u have a extreme attachment to your things, and it causes extreme anxiety to let things go. Sometimes people r like this even with rubbish, newspapers, etc. Often people like this have suffered a tragic event in their lives which trigger this.
I have hoarding tendencies and find it difficult to let things go (bad anxiety). I'm no way like this lady.

If you'll listen, at about 6:10, it is noted they'd removed 22 storage boxes& around 100 large black bags of stuff. There's still a lot, but for
now enuf room to live inside. No mention was made of a kitchen, however.

Most hoarders donât know what they have, thatâs why they land up with multiples of each item
My place is pretty organized. It's just an apartment, but I have scissors in each of 2 kitchen drawers, one pair in my room and one in the bathroom. I also have 4 pairs of dollar store reading glasses. Just more convenient. Don't have to chase them all over the house.

Actually they know they have them, they just dont know where so they buy new ones to use and then they lose those and then they buy new ones and then they lose those and it goes on and on and on.

They're amazing, but omg I would never feel truly clean again, even if I soaked in disinfectant and rubbing alcohol and then took 10 showers, I would always feel dirty.

I FELT RELIEVED FOR THE DOG
I have watched a lot of these kinds of extreme cleaning videos and the saddest are those where the resident has already died or something like that. It's too late to help them anymore and it makes me so sad. So this video makes me so happy because the cleaners are actually able to help her live a better live. The hoarding problem may be only a top of the ice berg of her problems but still.

Keeping all her possessions and just shuffling them is not a good solution. At least half of it needs to go so she can find the things that she loves and are sentimental. So very sad.

These lovely cleaning ladies work so hard for these mentally sick people only so those people can fill their homes back up and live in clutter again. I have to give them credit. If hoarders are so prevalent, then that should be addressed. What causes hoarding, how is it cured? Free classes should be offered, hoarders identifies and driven to the classes.
I like Pam. She seems very sweet. And I like Yvonne and Angela as well.
