We all have a car like that in our fleet trust me, my Fazers now been shelved after so many issues every time I take it out.
I'm refusing to spend any more time and money on it, for now at least!
Sometimes it's best to just move on.

Yeah I think it's time.. I almost stripped it for parts today trying to work out a battery tray for the boat 😁 I'd say I got my money's worth out of the little MJX though👍
Rocks get caught inbetween the steering arms. Very very common issue on these.

It definitely crossed my mind looking at the trash can next to where I was parked 😁 If anything, I'll strip it for parts and trash the rest👍
On a positive note it made for decent content, I was thoroughly interested in ya findings on the little rally car 👍

@scaleworksRC ya got a killerbody one on a tao2 chassis there good for or road or ta01 chassis good to ether of them or xv kyosho have a well nice scooby if you get the off road one got really good ground clearance

@@scaleworksRC Every car has its quirks part of what makes that ones personality.. Mine all have some issue I am always tring to figure out part of the fun. Plus makes it into videos too win win.. Right haha..

It looked fun while running but I do get the frustration! Having to constantly end runs early from failures sucks the fun right out of it!
Yep.. unfortunately so. But, the good thing is: this kind of thing is pushing me to just build a good 1/10 scale Lancia and be done with it. The XV-01 kit for this or the one for the 037 looks really nice for not that much money. Glad you enjoyed the run, though!

Excellent work. Some great angles. I really learn a lot when I watch your bench talks. Much appreciated. It’s very interesting about the servo issue. My 14303’s stock servo came with that issue. If I remember correctly it wouldn’t steer left only right. I had to replace it with a king Val servo which I believe makes it handle better. I say that because I noticed my 14301 with the stock servo is a smidge less responsive. But yeah man a rally car that can’t rally 🤦🏽♂️really?! It’s mean as $#)% on pavement tho🤷🏽♂️

Thanks man, I appreciate someone is learning something.. and I'm not gonna quit on it. Derby City juust put out a video with a servo fix that I will try. Thankfully, he says they all have crap steering, which is reassuring😁 It's just so much work to get the thing to do what it should already do! 😆
Great vid bro, luv those camera angles, will have to keep an eye out but so far I haven't had a problem with both my MJXs, I give them a good clean with the compressed air after a run and good to go again, they are cheap servos on these cars but will wait for one to fail before upgrading 😀👍
It's mostly due to how I run the car that causes these issues, but even on sandy pavement in the last run video it was losing steering here and there. Derby City RC just dropped a video featuring a potential servo fix that I'm going to give one last shot. Or just throw a solid arm on there and be done with it. On pavement, the thing shreds though. It's just frustrating throwing all this time, effort and money at a car that should already do what it's supposed to out of the box.. but I can't help but love the little thing😁👍
@@scaleworksRC I feel you man, I have been having a ton of fun with mine and issues will take away from that, I did install the flysky receiver and that fixed the lag issues, but a better micro servo and esc I think these might be sweet, full responsive , I had to change it back cause it messed around with the lights on channel 3, mabey will do a full upgrade on the electronics sometime in the near future 🙂✌
@@rcbloka Yep, you're spot on there about the ESC. I got used to the weird lag, but it's really annoying for some folks. The servo and the steering issues are stuff I don't even think about with the Fazer because it's designed much better. Just adds to the frustration! 😁👍
Awesome run umtil the steering issue's coming up. Have you tried to shut off the gyro? The Sservo looks fine.
I tried running it with no gyro before, and it's not controllable in the dirt. Even more so on 3S.. but I'm pretty sure it's the same issue I've been having. Just simply a bad design that I'm tired of throwing parts at, but it's a blast on the pavement

All these videos I have been using my phone to record, edit, and upload. Pretty good so far but I plan to get a used Gopro motion for on board stuff. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21. I use some crawler techniques to get the low down shots👍
When your running the car in the dirt dirt is getting kicked up in to the steering link blocking it dirt on the chassis by the servo says it all
Yep, a huge pile of dirt fell out when I took the net off. It's sealed the best I can get it, but it's not solving the issue like I hoped.
@scaleworksRC have you sill got dust cover that come with It If so have a look a my modded one couple bits of plastic and old pice of inner tube
@@offsetrc Pretty sure I binned it after it collected more dirt than no cover, you did a good job with yours though 👍
