Looking back at this interview in Jan 23 is amazing 🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Looking back at all the comments of smug rivals who most of which have a team well below United now. 😂😂
@@1977Suspiria I just smile and laugh 😃
Add a trophy 🫡
After winning carabao
How you lot doing now
This guy needs a medal just taking on the job.
He is on £7m a year. So the medal has nothing to do with it. If he leaves he is going to get an 8 figure pay off!
So agreed @westside crew it is shocking to read some fan comments about feeling sorry for him etc. Embarrassing😂 He has the best job in the world, the team and results can’t be worse. It is one way and that is up from this and he will be the boss who turned it around. He is in a good place
What I mean can be compared to Roma. A big big Club under performing, Mourinho came in at the right time. He will be the one who made Roma competetive again but in reality it is a matter of time. Could be other managers. Timing and getting a bit lucky is key
When you spend the amount of money United have They will Get back up. It is like blackjack with some transfers. 50-50. United have lost the last 8 hands, soon They will win some.
@@trulsfg yes I fully agree. Plus he has had a few months pre season to get in new ideas and a new strategy. What does he do? He plays the same old duds: Fred, sancho, rashford, McGuire, etc. He is on a massive salary and is NOT earning it. He has contributed nothing to date with two defeats and zero goals scored. Disastrous. He won’t last long.
Damn! It's ABSOLUTELY incredible how he managed to change that team into our current form..
Erik Ten Hag all the way 👏👏
I've never felt so sorry for a manager in my entire life. I can genuinely feel the disappointment and bitterness of Ten Hag, who is used to completely different standards and now has to deal with levels of mediocrity from his team he absolutely didn't expect and still can't believe he is witnessing them.
Just change the squad. Stop using the same set of players thinking Ul have different results!!
+Ovidio Graziana - Yes the owners have played their part in taking a lot of money from the club and saddling it with huge debts but they have also spent the most amount of money in the PL era, more than any other club. However, they have brought in the wrong players (Fred, Pogba, etc) and given extensions to those that should have never been given them (Jones, Matic, Fernandes, Bailly, Martial, Rashford). This latter part was the fault of Ed Woodward who was a disaster for the club in the transfer market. In addition to this, it' s the players and the manager to blame. Why is the manager still playing Fred? That doesn't come from the board. Why has he bought a 5 foot 9 inch centre half? Why is he still paying Sancho and Rashford who are both Championship players and nowhere near good enough. The list goes on...No need to feel sorry for him. He is just not good enough to be the manager. Why is he not playing Van De Beek and some of the youngsters? Why is he persisting with Fred who is one of our worst ever if not the worst ever signing? ETH is quickly being found out and I think he will be leaving the club soon. He is making the same mistakes as the other managers.
Why sorry for Ten Hag? He is the one who chose Maguire as captain and as centre back, he is the one who selected the team, he is the one who planned the tactics and game plan, and he is the one who chose to waste 4 months trying to get a player who does not want to come to MU! Forget the Glazers, Ten Hag is the one accountable for the results.
@@pm-kc8di fully agree!
Managing Ajax is not hard
These questions were brutal , the questions they ask Rangnick and Ten Hag are so direct , Ole didn't have it this hard in press conferences and that's where all this mess started . I feel so sorry Ten Hag , such a brilliant coach gone to the worst run big club in the world , this will only ruin his reputation.
the bombardment of questions must be unbearable
Agree 100%
I disagree. They asked Ole a lot about belief and the commitment of the squad, but his fluency in the language and familiarity with the English media allowed him to navigate interviewers and reporters. You can tell Ten Hag is backed into a corner here from his inability to come across how he wishes to. I don’t even particularly like the 3 of them lol I’m an Arsenal fan
Have you heard of Barcelona? Lol
The worst run big club in the world right now would be Barcelona, but United is a close second. These results are not the fault of Ten Hag, and I would also say they're not the fault of the players... it's the board who fails time and time again to conduct any sort of almost decent recruitment
I can see his soul breaking like the past 5 managers before him.
I still believe in him and I am sure he will be able to turn it around with more time
Remember Arsenal lost the first three last season all is not lost
Hes aged already. The toxicity of Man U is contagious
@@Badonicus 😂😂😂
The fans will stick by him. The press are already sharpening their knives, they wanted Poch. The fans don't want another yes man.

Watching this back now is incredible
Watching back on this makes me soo happy 😭❤️
Ten Hag false sense of belief in this squad is his down fall . They let previous managers down and he thinks a miracle would happen . They are untrainable, give the youngest like Iqbal and Savage minutes
I don't feel sorry for him one bit. He was arrogant and didn't even want to have a proper sit-down with Rangnick. He's dealing with the consequences of that now.
How about the false promises of united to h8m before he came?
@@lebronjohnson6735 Lmaoooo ikr he said eras come to a end but it seems his era is already over before it even begins
@@lebronjohnson6735 why do people think Ralf was the savior. His management record was shocking. Ten Hag has to be backed for at least 3 years. Fans need to stop crying. Back him and let him build his own team.
@@lebronjohnson6735 You are completely wrong 😂 They fired Ralf before he was even interviewed for the job. The owners didn't want to rebuild the club fully. EtH never met Ralf about Man Utd. Glazers don't want to put money into the club to run it fully, they got EtH thinking he was gonna turn them into superstars. It's not Erik's fault he has garbage and they didn't buy one he wanted.
Breaks my heart to see this man like this. These players are being paid WEEKLY wages that would transform our life if we got just one of their weekly pay and this is how they perform.
"It will be alright lads.. we've got captin Maguire"
Money doesn’t motivate people though
200k pounds per week for rashford and maguire... bruno "doubled' to 240k pounds per week ... shaw, 150k plus perweek... average players on exorbitant wages that even liverpool players dont get... the difference.. the liverpool players are winners and deserve their payents.. they are not paid weekly footballers get paid seasonally 4 times a year sometimes twice a year or once a year

Watching this on the back of a 2-1 derby win!! So glad things have changed!
Watching this not long after a 2-2 draw with Leeds
Watching this ahead of the return leg with Barcelona. Utd will achieve something this season, nothing short of a miracle after how the club and team were viewed this time 6 months ago

@@kenneththompson8933 Bailly? 🤡
Rangnick admitted "it is extremely embarrassing for me as a coach to have press conferences like this one" as he addressed the media after United's supine performance at Anfield.
"If you analyse the situation it is not difficult to analyse. For me, it is clear there will be six, seven, eight, maybe ten new players. Before you sign those players you need to be aware how you want to play."
They underrated his words and now see the results in front of them all. Gary keeps quoting Ralf. ESPN keeps quoting Ralf. Sky Sports keep quoting Ralf. And what exactly did he said? That Man Utd needed a heart surgery. But literally speaking, this were all speaking bad about his team analysis after matches. They said he talked too much, and worked less with all the world class players he has. But what manager can't talk much about a dogmatic man utd that refuses to improve?
@@godspowerjack honestly bro you'll get no love but you're speaking facts. It's not the manager it's the squad.
@@Xx_m1k3_0X1onG_xX Not just the squad, but the owners. They need to unwrap Man Utd and let Man Utd loose. They need to sell our club to someone who loves and understand football. And if they actually loved and understand football, they wouldn't have sack Ralf. They would have let him continued with the consultancy role. He would have helped brought cheap and quality players, and not over hyped players who can't even kick and trap the ball. It was Ralf who discovered Sadio Mane. Discovered Timo Werner and lots more.
@@godspowerjack utd really got rid of a man who isn’t afraid to speak facts. Rangnick is more than a coach and an advisor, if we are being honest he should be in Woodward’s place and can watch him turn the club around in 2 years. He’d bring bigger , stronger and faster players who have excellent work ethic and wouldn’t cost much. Utd really messed up with this one
All they had to do was let Ralf loose upstairs they finally found the right road all they had to do was take the first step, yet again the arrogance and fragile mentality of the ownership filters down to the board, CEO and DoF and finally through the players and onto the pitch. Rangnick and Ten Hag was the answer to the question we are all asking ourselves. Honesty now is the only way out of this.
We won the cup at Wembley today! No pain, no gain! Fantastic job, Erik!
The mess at this club started when players like Pogba n company felt they were bigger than the managers n therefore ousted Jose . From then on things have become worse. Truth is that Jose was one of the few managers who could bring discipline in the club as he has his principles.
true
Agreed.
he brought us a europa league, and a 2nd place in the EPL. Unreal what he did with that club, he asked for money, players and they threw him under the bus. It's a whole organisation thing.
I said the same thing. If Jose wasn't given time to fix this mess (as one of the few managers competent enough with HIGH standards) then it's just gonna be rinse snd repeat until these players are moved on!
Any manager who takes that job may get their house in order because that job is gonna kill someone with the pressure.

I posted it once ago. I am gonna say it again. The overall demeaner of Jose Mourinho when he got the job, vs the toxic Mou that left was 2 different people.
Manchester United is selling the managers a dream then hanging them out to dry with these players they think should be good when they are not. And they are reluctant to cut there losses with so much what ifs and has been set of players.
ETH looks a shadow of himself already. I said it man. Calling people like Maguire and David De Gea great shows great player power and politics still exists at that club.
David de Gea was great last season but he doesn't fit an ETH system just like Joe Hart and Pep years ago. What did Pep do? Sold Joe Hart bought Ederson. Joe Hart was a Manchester City legend
yeah,i think so
Seeing ManU in this condition makes me realise the sheer magnitude of the overhaul done by Arteta at Arsenal. He literally cleared almost all the deadwood( Ozil, mustafi etc) and now has a team which plays according to his vision. I think United should also follow the same blueprint
the problem is blueprint keeps changing every year because the area of vulnerability is not sorted out in the transfer window. the same average players keep on starting every game each season and there is no concrete upgrade in the squad which would bring competition, few players are guaranteed starters ( not just Maguire ) increasingly player power, and contract extension on the basis of past performances but not what they would offer for the future. bang average players who demand high wage and have inflated figure in the transfer market that they can't be offloaded .
It will take a while for them to solve that by first getting of the players that are on big wages by which there are quite a few, my goodness.
Where would arteta be if he had our recruitment team?
what the hell did arteta do? he brought arsenal to the fifth place... uuuh well done... can't believe the hype of arteta.. even ole did better then him!
@@DominikSupersonic bro are you blind to not see how arteta has rebuilded the side???? more than the position look at the quality of football arsenal been playing and im sure a top 4 place is coming this season....whereas keep united nd ole`s name out of it...they need not be embaressed anymore
Feel sorry for the man. You can tell he doesn’t want throw the players under the bus but he’s also very aware that the players aren’t good enough
Yet these players are the same ones that have thrown all their previous managers under the bus.
Fakers and actors the lot of them. What are those wingers doing? What are those defenders doing? What is Shaw doing? What is rashford doing?
They should all get fired and go to work in the real world to realise how privileged a position they are in and get some character and heart. Because right now they are just taking their football lives for granted.
Rashford is still a Utd player. Let that sink in.

As a Utd supporter of fifty years, it was wonderful to see a typical Man Utd goal of twenty yrs ago, being scored in 2022. That was Brentford’s 4th.
Solution…long term manager that is unwavering in their belief that they can produce a squad that will perform week in and week out and a youth system that will produce players to perform at the highest level as quickly as possible. That’s it.
Fergusons success came from the youth team, not from spending extortionate amounts for nomadic, so called superstars. Beckham, Giggs, Ronaldo, Scholes, Butt, Nevilles etc we’re nobodies until they pulled on the red shirt. Apart from Schmeichel and Keane, all of the famous 11 plus cost them nothing. Even Cantona, out of favour at Leeds, cost less than £1 mill. All had instilled in them the belief they were the gladiators of their club and any burgeoning primadonnas had their wings clipped. Seriously doubt the current crop, under Fergie would even be allowed to play in the reserves.
The problem of Man Utd is that they pay too much money for players and there is not rivalry inside the team. Tactics are also not clear. I only see a solution on a long term manager like Klopp or Simeone that has to rebuild the team and spirit.
I am a Forest fan , not a hater of man utd at all , I sincerely hope the club can pull this round . But can you sell us Garner and loan us Ronaldo for this season 🤔

And Rashford lowkey. The guy tries too hard. I'm sick of him trying to take shots from 20-30 yards and not passing to players. When you watch him play you can tell he puts a lot of pressure on himself and never keeps things simple.
The board are failing him massively. The owners aren't willing to invest into thecsignimgs Ten Hag wants/needs. The players has per usual aren't following his advice his instructions. I generally feel sorry for Ten Hag. If he walked I'd understand completely I wouldn't blame him
overrated manager
You spent a £1bn
Didn't United just signed martinez.and Eriksen cause of ten Hagg? Are they not still trying to sign players from the Dutch league cuz of ten Hagg?
The club has spent a billion pounds PLUS on players.
Yawn 🥱 United spend more than any other team. Your starting 11 was apparently valued at £424 million compared to Brentfords at £55 million
You outspend most clubs every season only difference is United have wasted most of it on absolute crap!!!
Wow after the Brentford games the forks were out. Media, pundits and even the fans were on him. Look at him now!
He might want to change his name to Ten Nil !! Great assist from Dea Gea for the first goal and Maguire is in a class of his own, like he was in school
thought the highlighter green kit would help them spot their teammates but no
Erik Ten Hag has still got alot to learn in the premier league and made mistakes but hes been given no plan A signings as usual with man utd, hes had 0 backing in the transfer window and is trying to make a clock work with no hands with this team by trying to make it play his way of football. The man needs a rebuild not a reskin of the old failures that threw 2 managers under the bus
But his decision to sign Martinez as a Central defender in the Premier league when Koulibaly was out there at a cheaper price makes me want to doubt his sense of judgement
@@meks2kuul there's no doubt there Martinez is a player he has experience with, 100 percent no doubt there since his ability to play prior to the season start is there but seeing as how the first two games are finished this is an adjustment and reality check for new players and current signings.
@@tacklefatkids I have a big problem believing Martinez will adapt to the physicality of the Premier league, he is just too small for the Central defensive position

❤️ Ten hag
Moment he backed maguire after his first interview I knew this man was destined for a hard start
In Amsterdam at Ajax, he had the whole club behind him. From the youth academy until the A selection. A mix of older experience players combine with young upcoming talented players who needs Erik to get to the head squad……….so he was in charge and now these so cold multimillionaires letting him down.!!!!!! If Erk can be free to run it as he wants the club will be successful at the end. But for now nothing has changed compared to past years and it will stay this way………very dom management! I feel very sorry for Erik…..
When i knew 10Hag isn't as smart as his supporters and many people think was when he announced Maguire as his captain. That's where his problem started.
All the best ETH. It's the reporter fault. Not the players. He don't understand man utd.
Learn English first, then we can discuss
Who’d of thought we’d potentially be on for a quadruple in March.
“The team has to take responsibility” He KNOWS it’s not him. Get the young lads in, they’re a damn shot better than these ego-shot, work shy bums.

No epl team reach europa with bunch of youngsters. They need lot of seniors
@@eavyeavy2864 Seniors that behave as such on the pitch. Not just flaunting around some nice words off the pitch before a camera.
It worked for Chelsea when we had the transfer ban so I don’t see why it can’t work for United. Obviously the young players of United now aren’t as good as the Chelsea’s youngsters were in my opinion but ETH needs to put faith in youth like Lampard did and it got us top 4. With players like Garnacho coming through the ranks and if Ronaldo stays, he can learn off the GOAT and quickly develop his game and become a premier league great.
There’s no “passion and desire” like every pundit always says. He should’ve subbed off Maguire and never subbed on McTominay.
I honestly think the board has forced Erik to make Harry the captain again, and its clearly just not working lol. Even a blind guy would pick Varane over Maguire.
Why the duck didnt varane start?
Varana looked way better and held our line a lot better than the rest. He can read the game

As a united fan , i feel soo sorry for him that what he expected he didnt get those agression of player for putting rage to win the games , there was a time where players would die for this club and now is the time this players are taken granted , need more agression and affection to make this and team glorious . I still believe in ten hag ... Hard to see cr7 crying in the pitch 💔
Cr 7 was a great actor, wasn't he? Looking back and realize what a toxic atmosphere he created. Every MU fan must be relieved that he is gone for the money.
I'm an empathetic person so I feel sorry for him, he's gone to a club where success is mandatory however he doesn't have the tools to work with and de gea the most reliable united player costs them the game... as a city fan the table looks funny with city on top and united holding the table up💀 Liverpool next looks like a nightmare fixture and anyone capable of taking points off Liverpool is a bonus. Looking ominous
I'm a United fan and its gonna be 10-0 loss against Liverpool, it will break Uniteds records as the worst game in our history, there will be goals every few minutes, its gonna be an other worldly level defeat.
He played Fred as a lone 6 that’s the reason why united were rattled and that’s not ddgs fault
Don't feel sorry for him at all. All that talk of bringing United back to the top, now hes been humbled and understands the situation infront of him. My only hope is it gets worse 😂
Stop saying you're an empathetic person before you write it please it makes you look like you're trying to look good.
@@pacman7687 all that talk might make sense if he manages to build a good team in next 1 or 2 years, big things take time boy
I just hope Ten Hag doesn’t fail at united, we’ve seen him excel at ajax with obviously some fantastic tactical play implemented into the teams he’s managed but it’s different in the prem especially at a broken club like united, it’s not looking good for him.
Don't expect too much from a one hit wonder at Ajax.
It isn’t his fault that united are failing. They are basically unrepairable. And we will have to see when you face us next week
It took a while before he got Ajax going. The first months he got a lot of negativity until at some point the team started playing better and better
Ajax is highly organized and motivated. Mufc is weak and toxic. He is responsible for coaching only... His influence is negligible
Bro in Ajax it was just a miracle and they were good with the players he had to work with. He is average manager that used to manage a average team like Ajax. He got knocked out in the round of 16 like and average team.
Difficult to see him like this,he was very good with ajax 😭
He’s better now!
Just 💪😁
Ten Hag is best manager who respect his team. I like his attitude. Give him time. He come to victories.
In recent years, our best results have come when we have played as a counter attacking team. Ole was successful initially because of that. The moment he started playing as a possession based pressing team, we started conceding too many goals, and that hasn't changed. This leaky defence transmits this nervous energy throughout our team, and I guess that has a knock on effect on our attacking players.
Until we reinforce properly with 4-5 new players, we should try playing 5-3-2 as a counterattacking team, so that our slow defence doesn't get caught that often.
Man, how many “new” players, we’ve been saying that for years now 😂😂
Yeah they need a Van Dijk & Fabinho type players, cuz they don't have the personal
But then when the transition happens, it'll bite the team again. I think it's time to admit it, Utd won't ever challenge for the title in the near future and play for the 4th spot using exactly what you said.
@Forward To The Past please read carefully- I said ole was ‘initially’ successful with a counterattacking system which suited our slow defense.
Also, we went an year on the road without defeat - which was one of the longest runs undefeated by any premier league club. Although we weren’t playing great football, we were at least picking up consistent points and had a lot of come backs from losing positions, so that was some sort of relative success as compared to the current shambles we’re in.
That being said, I’m not advocating that ole shouldn’t have been sacked. I was merely pointing out one of the possible ways we could play with the current squad.
Hope this brings clarity to the argument.
@@khayangoma9064 that shows our recruitment has been nothing short of shambolic, perhaps one of the worst in the league. This season we lost Cavani, Pogba, Matic, Mata, Lingard, greenwood etc and we replaced them with just 3 new players - none of these 3 are expected to start week in week out. So of course we need new players.

the manager is making the same mistakes as the previous ones so no need to feel sorry for him at all. He persists with starting with Fred for example. That tells you everything and that he is not fit to be the United manager. He is totally useless. Why can he not give DVB or some of the youngsters a game? They can't do any worse than Fred.
