Chemung Mine - A Haunted Gold Mine

Located on Masonic Mountain at about 8200' of elevation, just outside of Bridgeport, California, is Chemung Mine (pronounced shə-MUNG). An old, abandoned gold mine. Rumors and folklore say it's haunted. We spend the day going through the old buildings of the mine and locate the mine shafts that tunnel back into the hillside behind the mine.
