Fun fact, the girl playing the main young nun in this movie ( Irene) is the little sister of the woman in the Conjuring movies in real life. Taissa and Vera Farmiga.

Before I knew they were sisters when I watched the movie for the first time I was like “is this a young Lorraine? They look so similar” I was so confused lmao
Fun fact: the reason why they had the bells tied to the graves and a string in the casket, if they buried somebody alive the person in the casket could ring the bell to tell them 'hey, I'm still alive let me out'
This is also how we got the term 'Graveyard Shift' for late night work!

@@Randomyoutubecommenter People waaaay back used to believe that sneezing meant you were expelling an evil spirit/thought, so I'm pretty sure every 50 years or so in progression, people were as smart as the timeframe of humanity's scientific development let them be back then. I imagine in 100 years from now, when you can just wave your watch over someone like a medical tricorder from Star Trek, they would be saying how silly we were in our era - fancy having to use a big klunky machine like an MRI to detect brain nuances when it's now a standard hone app to scan! Just like those silly people who had grave-bells because because they didn't have life support machines to detect the insanely subtle differences between real death as opposed to a near-death coma!

Notice that the demon's name "Valak" can be seen in the plate of the truck in the beginning of the movie when they put their baggage and almost lose it. It can also be seen multiple times in "hidden places" during The Conjuring 2.
Valak shows up in Annabelle Creation and Conjuring 2 primarily. It is the worst fear of Lorraine Warren because it really has it in for Ed...if it gets a chance it intends to kill Ed and ruin Lorraine. arguably Valak is the strongest entity they have ever come up against so far.
also in the window design in the opening scene and in the Conjuring 2 throughout Lorraine's house

*random fact:" at the beginning of the movie, there was a small bell ringing on top of a grave, in the old days they put bells with ropes that went into the coffin because as medicine at the time couldn't tell if the person was really dead, they buried the person , and if the bell rang it's because the person woke up inside the grave, maybe the person was in a coma or something, that was very common.

So the actress of Irene (Taissa) is Vera Famiga's, the actress who plays Lorraine Warren, sister in real life. The characters have similar power so that leaves an opening for them being blood-related or something. Also, the way Frenchie grabs Lorraine during the exorcism can be explained that he, in a fit of panic, recognized the connection between Irene and Lorraine and thought it was Irene and tried to ask for help or maybe it was Valak that sensed the connection?? I really wish we get a Nun 2 so when can develop more of this theories

The whole cast and crew had to be blessed by a priest or blessed somehow through whatever religion they believed in every day before and after shooting for literally all of these movies....honestly I might have been too scared to take on this kind of movie role just cause I’m a huge believer in inhuman energies manifesting into something that’s never been of this reality...
See that's how you know these aren't just ‟movies‟. There's a reason why the Conjuring movies say, ‟based on true events‟. Shoot someone made a game called the Mortuary Assistant that's basically about getting possessed by a demon while working a night shift at a mortuary and when you open up the game, a message pops up telling you to reach out to your local church if anyone in your life is showing signs of possession

She tried to kill Sansa by shooting an arrow into Sansa's belly but Theon threw her off the balcony and she smashed like a tomato, dead.

Fun facts not unless you’ve already been told. The word Valak was on the license plate of the truck that had their luggage on. In one of the Conjuring movies same thing happens. Valak was spelt out on a bookshelf with the letters.

I really enjoyed this entry in the Conjuring verse. I highly recommend the Annabelle movies. Those I think just got better with each one and a nice completion to the Conjuring Verse.
Using Vera Farmiga's sister Taissa in this movie, I really expected them to connect her to Lorraine as like her relative or something but they never did. Kinda disappointing. Lorraine would've been 26 around this time so Irene could've been like her cousin or something.

Now the Conjuring series became so clear in plot , from Nun , we go to first movie , with a plot twist of the possession of the Canadian in the Nun !
Great circle of the story ! The Abbey of Santa Carta in Romania is a jewel of horror scenes! ! My great credits to Abel Korzeniowski , the composer of that film for that heart - shaking out fear soundtrack ! Top horror soundtrack !
Bonnie Aarons , reprise as Valak , the demon , the greatest choice ... Supreme acting ! She's a real demonic bitch but I love that woman ! Shit to my pants ! She has it ! Blessed and talented actor !

Yeah but it would work if the one who prays wouldn’t be in fear, because that contradicts the prayer. It works when you Are calm and not screaming in panic. Fear is one the main sources evil feeds on, next to hate and anger. You can’t them make going away with a prayer while you are afraid. You need to be calm and strong, knowing that there is a power protecting you, which is far more powerful than any evil entities.
I imagine the ghost or demon being on the side laughing like this is the greatest prank ever

I've been watching your channel every show since Cobra Kai episode one. How does Nikki get more beautiful every episode. The way she rolls her eyes at every corny scene and screams "Don't do it, don't do it!" Seriously though love the channel. Just watched this tonight with my mom. I saw it got bad reviews but i thought it was actually pretty good. Was real creepy and had a lot of good scares.

I love the Nun, I thought it was pretty good. Just too bad that a lot of people don't seem to live it. But I love it. It was creepy and pretty scary. The ending was such a great twist!

Surprised people didn’t notice that sister Victoria already died. They saw her jump off and die but don’t realize it when she shows up and starts talking to sister Irene. That should already have you questioning what was going on

Fun fact the bells at the graves had a purpose back in those days people were pronounced dead but were really still alive (some kind of disease if memory serves correct) and if someone was buried alive they were supposed to ring the bell so the groundskeeper or whoever would hear it and dig them up. They added the bells because it happened a bunch of times and the people had suffocated to death.

Also I'm glad you guys enjoyed the movie, the reason I didn't is *because* of all the jump scares. It's such a shift from the two Conjuring movies where the tension is what really get's you and I enjoy that more. Also thought we saw WAY to much of the nun to the point where she just wasn't scary anymore, where in the Conjuring 2 she scared me so much that I could barely take a breath when she was on screen. The only thing I enjoyed was the tie-in at the end 😅
