    Thanks you so much I had this same issue with my 2018 crv ex AWD Got repaired about two hours ago the price was 125 to detect the issue and 180 to repair working well right now in four years this is the first time I’ve came out of pocket with this vehicle

    I'm just curious, what would cause my condenser fan from getting power? Would that cause my AC compressor to stop working as well? Could replacing the condenser fan assembly fix the issue of my compressor clutch from engaging and fix the issue of the issue of my ac blowing warm air?

      @@daphrampa are you saying your fan is not coming on? If so check that fuse and connectors and circuit first.

      @daphrampa Před měsícem

      @JJCentral-DIY ok. I corrected the wording of my question. I apologize for that.
      I checked the wire connection to the condenser fan, and it isn't getting power. I've checked the fuse and relay, and they both worked then, but the fan didn't. The relay is brand new, so it definitely works. I'm going to replace the condenser fan today. Could that get the ac compressor clutch to engage and the ac to blow cold again?

    question, I have a 2005 crv and i'm currently working on it right now. I got the line off the back wall and the 2 allen head screws. I almost got it off but the top part still hanging on and won't come off. seems that the valve have this foam sealant around it and won't let go when I pull it. I'll try to keep on working/pulling it hopefully it'll let go,

      The expansion valve on a 2005 CRV will not fit through the opening in the firewall you have to get to it from inside and it is a huge job. Not sure what year they made the opening bigger but it was not 2005

      @@phillipkalaveras1725 Yes you're right, I tried making the holes bigger hopping I can get it through there but with no avail. I finally able to drop those blower motor and related parts down, I still need to get to the valve.

      I have a 2005 CR-V and on mine there is a plate surrounding the coolant lines where they enter the firewall, held on by 2 nuts. My guess is if you take off that plate, the expansion valve will fit through the firewall(if you have that plate).

    Hey JJ. I have a 2017 CRV with the R-1234YF refrigerant.
    My suction pressure is 45 and my discharge is 80, with or without the compressor running.
    I visually checked that my AC clutch is engaging.
    The cabin blower is working.
    And I checked the relevant fuses.
    My guess is that the compressor is bad (since I am not building pressure), but please let me know what you think.
    Probably time to take it to a mechanic. I don't have the tools to recover R-1234yf.

    • @JJCentral-DIY
      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 2 lety

      If your refrigerant is leaked out, then your compressor cannot compress and the pressure won't go up. First inject a dye and test to see where the leak is before concluding the compressor as defective.
      When you get a quote to replace the compressor from a shop you will realize it is less than half the price to buy every equipment and the refrigerant to capture and fill. 😂

    When it leaks at the expansion valve o rings. Will the ac blow hot because of lost refrigeratant even if a little by little? My ac compressor is engaged but still blowing hot.

    • @JJCentral-DIY
      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 2 lety +1

      AC blows hot if there is no or very low refrigerant. AC also blows hot if there is no leak but a block in the condenser or expansion valve.

      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 2 lety +1

      @@terrancenasafotiesr.9601 That's not going to affect, make sure you put in the right quantity and the pressure is correct on both sides.

    What is the correct pressure on the low side and high side when the ambient temp is around 100F, thanks.

    • @JJCentral-DIY
      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 2 lety

      25 to 40 on the low side and 150 to 200 on the high side. If it goes over that, you have a block on the valve or condenser.

    So I just had the compressor replaced because the other one exploded. Yes, I heard it happen and smelled it too. Anyways, it was replaced and now it's blowing hot air on the driver's side and foot wells but lightly cool on the front passenger side. Does this need to be replaced any time the compressor is replaced?

    • @JJCentral-DIY
      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, and guess what, your compressor blew not because it is a bad compressor, but there is a block in the system (mostly in the condenser) that is running the compressor pressure high. If you change the compressor it is advisable up change the condensor, evaporator, and the expansion valve.
      Hope that helps.

      @@JJCentral-DIY would this affect the air flow when on recirculation? I've noticed a drop in air flow when I shift from outside air to recirc.

    • @JJCentral-DIY
      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 2 lety

      @@matthewberry6661 Drop in airflow at recirculation is normal due to the air volume availability going through the blower fan. You just cut off a full flow of outside air from the equation and that affects volume.

    How do you tell the expansion valve malfunction?

    • @JJCentral-DIY
      @JJCentral-DIY  Před 11 měsíci

      AC high side pressure goes way too high and can result in compressor seals bursting. Block in condenser can also increase the pressure.
