I have a Manitowoc indigo series. How much ice, at its peak should it be producing? And how many pounds does the bin hold.
How do you program the thing to make a full amount in the time it's supposed to? The one I have doesn't even fill halfway overnight. What programing steps do you take to make it up to speed.
Your problem might not be with the programming. Typically ice machines need 24 hours to fill completely. If you are using 100 lbs. of ice everyday and your ice maker is rated at making 200 lbs. then that is your problem right there; you are using half of the ice. There are some other things that cause ice makers to slow down too, a good first step is to thoroughly clean the machine following the cleaning procedure in you manual, then if it's still not producing enough ice it might be time to call a service tech. One other thing to note is that ice machines in a hot area, like a kitchen will produce ice slower than ones in a nice cool area. Let us know if you need help contacting a service agent.
My machine is having problems dropping ice lately.......the ice just builds up around the thickness probe.....what could be a cause for this?
Hi Scott, Unfortunately there a several things that could cause your situation. One thing to try if you haven't already is to run the cleaning cycle on your ice maker, here is a video walk-through for cleaning a Manitowoc Indigo ice maker like the one in our video. www.manitowocice.com/Videos If that doesn't work, the next thing to do is to get your serial and model number off of the machine. Then, if your machine is less than 3 years old you should call the manufacturer and ask them about a warranty service call. If it's older than that I would get in touch with your service guy and schedule an appointment. I hope that helped.
@@ChefsToys Our refrigeration company has taken it off the bin, into the shop. It worked well for the first few days after it came back, and now it's building up again.....turns off (in making ice mode) often.....and even blows the breaker every so often. They're having trouble solving the problem too!
What steps are taken when turning on the icemaker because it shows the curtain is open and also the off and on and off on the the screen how do I solve this problem

Is the door suppose to easily open? Mine seems to be screwed tight.
+Dawna Capps The ice door should open easily. If it is stuck it might be frozen or, more likely, your machine might be off level, causing the door to stick. If you mean the top ice machine service door is stuck, it might be held shut on your unit with screws. On some older units and different brands the access panel is held on with screws instead of hinged like a door. Hi i have 606a can i program the machine to produce 500lbs between a 12hr period
Hi Rodouglin, the 606A ice maker is designed to make around 600 lbs. of ice in a 24 hour period. If you need 500 lbs. of ice every 12 hours you probably need to get a second ice maker. If you need the ice for 1 12 hour shift a day you should be okay with what you have, but you may need a larger ice bin.
i have the 606 series can i set the machine to produce 4oolbs between a specific time
See our answer to your other question. Your ice maker, when working properly, should produce 400 lbs. of ice every 16 hours. If you need 400 lbs. of ice for a particular event you can get a portable ice bin to store some extra ice. Let us know if that sounds like a good option for you.

David, there are several different models of Indigo Ice Machine and they all produce different amounts of ice. If your ice machine is not keeping up you probably need a bigger ice machine.
