Note to game devs: When you have a janky game on your hands, never attempt to increase the difficulty of said game by just not allowing the player to save.
Even if it’s polished as hell, the amount of content left if you want to get the best ending is way too much to do in a single run. Maybe have like a “save limit” if you want to make artificial difficulty, like you can only save X number of times from here on out, or something. But the way it is is just punishing. Jank or no jank

For game like this which is hella long and have a lot of things and details, not to mention bug can show up at anytime anywhere. Save is really needed for this kind of stuff. Imagine you play any game that is hella long and hard, we all can agree that dying is part of gameplay and that why we able to enjoy it. Sometime we laugh to death whenever we see funny bug that kill us. That because we can try from nearest point (if you save.). However it different story when it come to the point save is not available.
Conclusion:Basically, this type of game need save because you can die anytime, especially with lot of bug with in game.

Capitalizing on it. That makes creating a game through ambition so much harder without the following hooking onto it.
This game franchise got lucky because the creator matched the energy of the buyers. Imagine if the creator pulled a take two/rockstar move outta there ass.
We allowed graphics to become more important, then coders putting their ALL into a game. Everything is about money baby.

I really feel like Mark did himself dirty by getting the ocular upgrade instead of the claws upgrade first. Like he could have used the pass for Monty Golf instead of Fazerblast, and been able to get the claws upgrade before the ocular upgrade. It would have made things a little easier on him I feel

The fact he got the Princess Quest Ending just to spite the fact he was having issues with the game and just wanted to finish the game for the stream is so funny, as I think that's the hardest ending to get. That ending is also sad but heartwarming cuz (speculations/spoilers), I think he (Gregory/Mark as the player) basically freed Vanessa from the Glitchtrap Virus, from Help Wanted, by simply playing those games. I theorize the person leaving the request notes for Princess Quest WAS Vanessa, may be wrong. It seemed like she wanted OUT of the situation.
I could explain why the "Sad" ending plays during the credits after that ending.

The disable saving thing is bad design, just by default, but if a game is going to have it, it has to be perfectly made. It has to have no bugs, no issues, no enemies spawning on top of you that give an instant game over.
Or at least hint about what stuff needs to get done before you put in the eye upgrade.
Honestly disabling saving during those intense moments where you can die while saving is smart, the rest of the times it's terrible.
Definitely. If the game was designed to have branching endings with like 5-15 minutes of content from the last save then that would be fine. It might be frustrating if you fail, but you only lose a few minutes of time with each attempt....
Allowing for there to be HOURS of content after the final save point is just bad design. (let's not even discuss the fact that there is no buffering zone for enemy spawn....that's just awful programming) because it leads to the possibility that the player will be unwilling to play any further. Honestly the ending really mars what would have otherwise been a great game.

@@tayh3645 The main issue with the whole last minute not saving is that sometimes it's just not in your control (say the game crashes). 15 min isn't a huge price but the concept is still there.
