The original from TK is one of the most known Anime openings and is constantly voted as one of the best ever. If you've ever heard/seen a ranking like that it's probably the reason why you recognized the song.
Pronounciation of her name is indeed "ah-doe" with the emphasis on the "do". To (hopefully) make it a bit easier: in Japanese a = ah, e = eh, i = ee, o = short spoken oh, u = uh, basically how you say "to" without the t (not a native English speaker so I couldn't think of a better example).

Ado in this cover of 1st Opening of Tokyo Ghoul is an absolute harsh vocal beast! The song is mainly about 2 dilemas that a person can have. First problem is: do I hide my monster personality deep inside me or let it out to survive in a world someone else imagined. The 2nd dilema is: By keeping my monster inside me I'm killing him, but I also kill myself since that monster is a part of me. It's quite depressing, but that's just my interpretation of this song. If You want to be blown away by Ado's range I suggest her cover of God-ish. Great reaction!😃
