- I'm back, yes back with more dolls from yet another Rainow High/Shadow High collection! I'm kinda confused about the name of these dolls... But other than that, do these dolls bring anything new or interesting to the Rainbow High doll line? Let's find out!

What if they called themselves "The Highlights"? I mean they do stand out a lot compared to the other SH dolls.

because i think there actually already was a band from like the forties or fifties called the highlights. i vaguely remember a little doo-wop band of that name anyway. [shrugs]
I rlly like how you explain the details and colors, my 9 yr old little sister just recently lost her sight and this is the only toy channel that explains stuff with details so she can imagine what the toys looks like

I love how they managed to use extremely bright neon but not make it feel like too much.
Uma is my favorite out of all the Rainbow Vision dolls. I especially love her hair colors and her second outfit. I will definately be careful with the guitar if I get her though. The other two look decent fot neon themed dolls as well, as I normally hate neon colors, but somehow this line makes it work.
My friend says that there's no such thing as "too much pink." She loves the color. 😁
I have Uma, and the skirt on mine is separated like that too. My doll's lipstick looks different, it's less shiny, darker, and has no lipliner, so I guess there's a couple of variants. I'm impressed at how you were able to fix her guitar right away. I slid it up over her legs instead of undoing the straps, but I did lose a jacket stud. I cringe a little every time a doll has a lot of studs on an outfit because this always seems to happen.
I had the same issues with Uma’s skirt and Harley’s green top! The top was really disappointing.

Just in time! I just got ruby as my first rainbow high, I was lucky to get one from the 6 pack with some friends and I can't be more happy. Ever since I saw your review on her, I fell in love and even dreamed getting her, I can't believe that day finally came 💕

I think there IS a boy band coming soon, not sure if they'll be full dolls, but I know in the webisodes there's a least one if not two bands that are all boys. But yeah, they could have tossed in an electric yellow boy in Neon Shadow.
Omg so I am not the only adult watching the series. 😏 I keep thinking, "nah, not going to buy." but jeez RH makes some pretty dolls. I can't seem to chose a favorite. I keep leaning toward Uma. The baby hairs were such a nice little surprise. But I love Harley's second outfit too. Ugh. I am just going to have to grab them all on sell. Thanks for the review!
Btw Becareful with those tools. I knew someone who lost the tips two of his fingers from not being careful. (Cut them right off and they could not reattach them.) Stay safe!

Great review! And I'm glad you were able to fix your guitar because I had a similar thing happen to my own Carmen Major but didn't know how to remedy the problem. Of the three while I really liked Uma for a long time at first I think overall that Harley is for me. I don't plan on collecting all 9 Rainbow vision dolls but do feel a bias towards the characters initially chosen as the ambassador for each group in the webisodes so it's likely Harley and Ayesha will make it home with me.

20:00 you can actually remove her hat. The thing is it’s in her head with a peg that is additionally glued on
the green hoodie and cat ears are totally my style is feels like is kinda like an emo kawaii style or even harajuku style whos a pretty cool way to dress

Hi, love your channel so much! Uma´s skirt is definitely supposed to be like that :-) the stretchyness of the pleather is needed for the fit. And as you can see at the back, her waist becomes too bulky when both materials are sewn together. So this kind of solution just keeps the skirt more stretchy and less bulky and adds to a cooler and punkier style skirt as well :-) Enjoyed your review a lot once again!

I feel like I’m one of the only people who doesn’t like the Neon Shadow dolls, though I’m not a big fan of Shadow High, anyway. The only doll I really like from SH is Shanelle and I don’t feel the need to buy her. I just personally like the Rainbow High aesthetics and colors more and I’m not sure why they had to go with making the skin literally white, gray, and black (with these dolls being green, pink, and blue, respectively) when they could have given them actual skin colors and made them fit into the universe of the other dolls better. For example: I would love to see Shanelle with dark brown skin, but I suppose I could always draw her and see how she would look.
I also don’t really know why Neon Shadow is part of Shadow High if they have colors to them, but I’m just being nit-picky, I guess.
Anyway, that was a lot to say in one comment. I love your videos and how descriptive you are! If I had to pick one of these dolls to own, I would probably pick Uma because I like both of her outfits and her hair looks the best to me. I like Harley’s first outfit and Mara’s plaid jacket, but overall I just don’t like their second outfits.
Seeing Shanelle in person made me love her more, I’m not sure if I’ll get her or not, my mom really wants to get her for her own doll collection, so that will probably factor into my decision.
Hi! I think one of the reasons there's a neon sect of shadow high, in my opinion, is because I think shadow high in general is meant to represent more Alt fashion as opposed to rainbow high. And in many different Alt styles (the main of these dolls looking punk) neon and colors are a big aspect.
So to me, if seems like rainbow high is more typical trendy styles while shadow high is more Alt styles; not necessarily that rainbow high is colorful and shadow high is not.
Personally I am in love with the grey, white, and black skin tones because I feel like they're so unique to shadow high. There's a ton of dolls that have normal skin tones, and I feel like the unnatural tones give them a sort of fantasy look that's so uncommon in girls dolls these days. I just feel like they look so different from any fashion doll on the market right now.
I am huge on collecting rainbow high dolls, I am getting mara tomorrow and I just got sabrina yesterday I think their amazing!!!
I do have the Uma doll (and now I def want them all XD) and can confirm that the two skirts are attached and a pain in the butt to get on her.
So mine is needing repair then? Darn.

Very cute; I saw these at Walmart the other day, and they are simply adorable in person! Have you seen the little mini accessories? They come in tiny trunks filled with shoes or handbags.

I love these dolls the color is so punk rock. My favorite is the 💚 especially because if i were in a band i would be the singer cuz I can't play an instrument (unless you count tambourine)

PS i love how you fixed the guitar. I don't understand why they don't make those pegs like that to begin with knowing cheap plastic will snap (just like the strappy heels)

to stop the mic cord from unraveling burn the edges! the heat will make the fibers melt together and bond! and since the cord is black it will be hard to see the remains. i suggest lighting a candle and so SLOWLY burning the edges of the cord that are frayed (tip from a cosplayer)

I haven't been into neon since my scene kid days (or maybe the 80s revival in college), but I love Harley! She has a real emo/punk mix vibe and I would definitely wear her second outfit irl (minus the fur coat, that's a bit much for me haha)
Hey, can you do reviews of the gen 3 monster high dolls? I know there's some discourse around it, but I'd love to see some videos of just you unboxing and reviewing the new dolls that children could actually watch. So many unboxing and reviews for the dolls are geared towards adults, so it would be nice to see your take on it! Also love love love how you go into detail about how the dolls look because there's so many children that lose their vision so I know they appreciate being able to envision the doll as well. But, on top of that, I like how you show it so detailed visually as well. I often have to watch CZcams on silent due a disorder I have, and it's nice to have video that are visually interesting. I feel like I can get just as much out of your video's with just the visuals and that is outstanding. I love you Jen! I managed to pick up the Lagoona blue doll in store yesterday, and my grandma bought me duece and draculaura. It's nice to have a place where you can unabashedly talk about liking the dolls without starting a war and having people try to convince you no to. Or even worse, having people try to one up you by talking about how they're a real fan because they grew up with the original series (so did I)

And than there's me still waiting for that historicaly/ traditionally inspired series like Japanese yukata, Russian folk clothes, French with the elegance and barets, Mongolian traditional clothing, Egypt or even Iran inspired clothes
It would show even more diversity and would add more originality...but hey maybe they'll do one later and I just have to wait 😂

Coming from a pink lover that all pink look is not too much for me (and yes she’s the one I want) and tbh I would likely wear it (well with shorts underneath as I feel insecure in dresses and skirts) as my bff says that I’m the only person they know who can pull off wearing any color of pink.

I have Uma and she is both blue and purple. Her hair is a purplish mix, her pants have one leg purple, the other leg blue. Her tops are both a sapphire/neon blue, her skirt is purples, and her shoes look bluish- purple to me. The lightning bolts on her guitar are turquoise.

Hi there, no worries I'm not upset by your question at all. I get asked this same question a lot actually. I have never been diagnosed as being on the spectrum but it is suspected. I also do have ADHD which does share similar characteristics to those of some people on the spectrum, so that may explain a bit too if I am not. I think just to know, I'll see if I can get tested one day to find out one way or the other. I'd also like to know.
Those dolls look cute! But some of the quality issues are just yikes. Pink girl hair are horrible 😭 I love cramped hair so much it would’ve been sad for me if I bough doll who’s hair are cramped but all messed up 😅

They’re webisodes you can watch them on CZcams, the gist is it’s an arts high school with people studying things like fashion animation music and media productions and you follow characters completing projects over the school year rn they’re competing with the rival school shadow high in a battle of the bands competition
