- After breaking one of my older fishing rods, I decided to try out the new Ugly Stik Elite Series rod with single piece guide/eyelet construction. The rod ended up performing very well and helped me to land a few AWESOME fish!

I love the Elite, have the 7’ MH too, love the Stainless eyes, I’m always breaking the ceramics on my other rod. Keep the videos coming and welcome to the CZcams fishing family
Salty Strikes Great video bro! Expect to be hearing from CZcams and a legal attorney for stealing my idea logo and name
I go fishing saltwater on docks and rocks jettys .should I get the medium or medium heavy?do these rods feel heavy like the gx2?
O Zar ... they are definitely lighter and I was would go with a MH. 7’.
I would go medium heavy. Your spots sound like they could hold some bigger fish.
I use this rod for 40m depth offshore fishing, really great for catching 10 pound fish
Nice!
Do check the top guide after two or three fishing sessions, you will notice deep grooves created by the braid or even mono. Good luck !
richard lim Great video bro! Expect to be hearing from CZcams and a legal attorney for stealing my idea logo and name
richard lim really what do you think is a good rod then
thats called winding your swivel or something hard up to far doesent just happen with line
Great product review
Keep with the ugly stick rods
I only have them 🎉🎉🎉
How good is the ugly stick elite 9 foot medium action
I have 3 of these, all are great,
What's the heaviest sinker you used with this rod? Do you have a M or MLight?
I’ve been thinking of getting this, the issue from me buying one is I’ve been hearing mixed reviews of the sensitivity. How would you rate the sensitivity?
It’s perfect for my liking. Several years on it now and still going strong.
You deserve way more subscribers great video man just bought an elite myself that's why I'm watching 😅, strange looking trout compared to the ones here in Ireland do you just call them sea trout or?
Thank you. Yes, we call them speckled trout or sea trout.
We call em speckled trout
Correctly named Spotted Weakfish....
Is the "ugly stick lite pro" a good buy?
So far, I have no complaints, so YES!
Have it in 6’ it’s basically the older version or Walmart version but I have had mine 5 years and been happy with it for $30.
Fish Like a Local Great video bro! Expect to be hearing from CZcams and a legal attorney for stealing my idea logo and name
Fishing Like A Local sounds like you’re insecure that this guy provides better content than you 💀
Does your rod have a rattle at the bottom like a weight
Just out of curiosity bro, do u always close the whole drag each time u hook up a fish??
Have you noticed and sort of issue with the top guide, like grooving? I've heard that occasionally can happen to these stainless steel guides.
I have heard that but not noticed any grooves or marks on the top guide. I have fished the rod hard for the last month which consisted of landing around 60+ fish, several of which were 20”+ and 30”+ from about 10-15 fishing trips. So far it has held up extremely well, including a trip through baggage claim to go to the Bahamas.
I plan to do an update review video here soon to show how it is holding up over time.
@@fishlikealocal2549 Thanks for the quick reply, man. I went ahead and ordered mine based on this video and your reply. Should be here in a week! Gonna be targeting some Redfish and whatever else I can get at Santa Rosa Beach, FL in a couple of weeks on a family trip. Went ahead and subscribed, too! Keep up the good content.
Nice! I just landed juvenile tarpon on it tonight. Still no groove! Haha I am thinking there are bad batches and mine came from a good batch.
@@WillArthurMusic Yes sir. I actually have 3 ugly stik bigwater rods with the stainless steel guides. A 7 foot, a 9 foot, and an 11 foot. 2 have mono and 1 has braid. They have held up very well! Incredibly robust rods! I can recommend them based upon low price and reliability
thats when you wind up a swivel or a lure hook etc something hits it line doesent do that
Is it super stiff? I have 6'6 mh uglystik intercoastal and it feels like a broomstick.
I think it has enough flex for my liking.
Love this-always used ugly stiks!! Ever use their reels??
No I have not. I use penn Fierce for reels
@@fishlikealocal2549 those reels are good
I’ll be visiting a friend in Tampa in September. Was wondering if I can hire you as a fishing guide for the day.
Hi Ryan, you sure can. If you have an Instagram, send me a direct message on there. My page is oliverhorvath88. If you don’t have IG let me know and we can figure something else out.
FISH OOOOOOOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes sir!
Is this rod sensitive?
What's the name of that beat? Where can I find it?
I'm watcing your video. cause I'm looking to buy this fishing pole cause well it's really hard to find something decent. I want to share with you the pole and let me know if this is the same one? Thank you.
Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Fishing Rod (Salmon/Steelhead), 9' - Medium - 2pcs
Not the same model his a 7'. I use that same rod for Michigan Chinook Salmon,10# mono for 20-25# fish light drag
slip bobber with Spawn sacks.Great Rod!!!
what line and reel wree you usign?
I have literally the same setup but a 9’ I’ve had 30 lb braid and now I’m trying 15 lb mono I keep getting bird nest casting my cast master 1 oz and suggestions?
Probably have too much line spooled on it. Being that I use live bait about 60-70% of the time I fish I only use spinner reels and not bait casters so I’m not too familiar with them.
Its the braid that's causing the birds nest. Switch to mono or fluorocarbon and you'll have way less issues. There is just too much friction with braid for bait casters it catches on itself and doesn't cast out freely like mono does.
how long is the rod and action you were using ? thanks good video
I wanted to reply to you but I’m not at home to check. I believe is it a 6ft rod with medium light action.
Try to find those ugly stick elite 6‘6“ medium heavy one piece Yikes
Just ordered one for an Abu Garcia low profile casting reel
Damn fucking trout, red, and snook great day.
Where are you fishing?
Siesta Key, FL
NICE......WHERE THAT PLACE AT, IT LOOK NICE
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
niceee
THATS LIVE BAIT 4 YA..ITS LIKE CHEATING.
There is skill required for all types of fishing. Fishing for free by catching your own bait is a great way to do it!
Why would you throw your rod n break it after loosing a fish? That's childish ...
Because he is a human with passion. You must be a robot 🤖
It’s an Uglystik bro it’s not going to break
