- Taking a bit of a rest after 2009's "Thriller", Part Chimp returned to our earholes in 2017 with "Iv", and it was like they'd never been away. Amps were in the room for this session instead of isolation cabinets so It got loud, it was glorious, and here it is! Five tracks!
00:0 - Part Chimp "Mapoleon" Live at The APW
03:17 - Part Chimp "Solid Gone" Live at The APW
07:47 - Part Chimp "Namekuji" Live at The APW

Huge thanks to silver-rocket.org for sharing this video!! 😃
This band should be so big.. totally underrated.
I saw Part Chimp in London in about 2001 and my ears are still ringing.
We were worried that we'd get complaints while recording (it was a bit loud for that time of the morning) but we got away with it. They drove those amps hard, even in the studio!
The APW Yeah they might be the loudest band I’ve ever seen. Having said that I had seen Tim’s previous band Ligament a couple of times too beforehand so I was sort of prepared.
saw them with mogwai in 2003 in brooklyn and my ears are still ringing too lol
This recording sounds way better than the album!
WOW!!!! WHAT A BAND, WHAT A SOUND!!!!
These guys never get old. Incredible band.
Loving how this is starting so far!
Got here by accident, loved every second of it. Huge sound! Thanx !

Bring Back the Sound.....aarrgghhh...ear-bleedingly lovely. All great though. Great work and thanks APW. x
The sound on this is fantastic.
hey Tim. Love it the big sound.
How am I only just discovering these dudes?! 🤘
There was an episode of The Late Junction (2003?) with Tim Cedar playing with Quickspace. It sounded otherworldly. Wish it would appear again.
This is how good music sounds like!!!!!!
Love love love PART CHIMP!!!! Great session, thanks for the upload, keep up the great work
Love this band! I miss going to live shows! Hopefully Part Chimp will be playing in LA soon.
Fucking amazing band.
LOVE this! Thanks for posting!
Legends.
Fuck me, that opening riff!

Wow...
Awesome
good sound that one. it´s the bass man. fucking heavy.
whoever edited this....fuck yeah
Mark Arm slays on the drums!
😄
There's some resemblance!
Nodding off to sleep last night with the radio playing I heard a new band to me that I thought interesting. These guys. It's like orchestral metal or something.
Intense ! Come to Bordeaux !!
This band makes me want to ride a dinosaur
Amazing ❤️
Oh YEAH!!!
🤘
Wow and they got Mark Arm on drums!
So fucking sick!
love them
ROCKS!
💯
amazinggggg
In the same way no man could ever emulate Enya, no woman could ever do a Part Chimp. Totally Masculine. The sort of band that makes you want to ride a T-Rex naked.
Looks like April 13th Preston is gonna be a sonic attack....!!
GODS. ❤
Rocknroll!
I didnt know Gabe Newell is in a band.
So that's what happened to Half Life 3!
#heroes
Totally ❤
sickk
Who's the grandpa on lead guitar? Leslie West?
I putted the other dislike because to balance the stupid first one, I really like it! love em
Is it drop B tuning they play in?
Iain is in drop B, however Tim has all his strings tuned to B at different octaves. Just B and nothing but B :-)
Ah right. That's a very strange way to have it tuned, never would have guessed that. Thank you!
@@TheAPW WHAT ??
Absolutely true! You can hear it in full effect in the opening licks of Mapoleon and Solid Gone.
@@TheAPW Fuck I assumed it was some weird octaver but that makes way more sense. Nice!
nihilism noise
