The overtaking lane was clear. They were more likely to slowdown because of vehicles in the slow lane, and you not overtaking fast enough. Try to learn to be a part of society. Wanting them to weave in and out of the slow lane, just so you don't have to enter the fast lane. And then complaining about it on social media. You're weird!
Have you heard that saying, if you have nothing nice to say, keep your trap shut and keep making your country pop playlists ! If you dont like something just switch off

William King yep, they are great cars, just a bit old fashioned to look at now, and not in a Classic way, but they drive really well

The gearbox seems to have a tendancy to hang onto gears for 2 long

Just got a CLC two weeks ago and I agree too. If it was a manual I would be changing earlier. But I still love it
I drive this in the 1.8 litre version and get about 18-25mpg
then there must be something wrong with your car as I have had several of these, and never ever got anywhere near as low as 18
