Maybe it has less of that topping or casing that the original has… hopefully one day we can get to the bottom of exactly what it is. I still think it’s an odd release but I’m sure they have their reasons. I expressed my opinion on a forum and got a response that pressing to change the nature of a blend is common, the commenter went on to explain that GH&CO uses the same blend for Golden Glow, FVF, and BBF just pressed different lengths of time… I’m skeptical of that. Thanks for the video, I’m curious about this one. Have a great rest of your day.
We call them sales “Rummage Sales” or “Garage Sales” or “Yard Sales” here in America. Good ones usually have items Pennies on the Dollar. 25 cents items!
Afternoon Simon, nice video. Too bad you're not able to give a first impression as you're smoking it outdoor. Enjoy the remainder of your bank holiday. Cheers
I ordered my first pack of OGS from Pfeifen of Germany and then saw its back in the UK just after putting the order in, so have ordered some aged/vintage too. Will be interested to try both for the first time without any prior experience
Good Morning 😊 Beautiful weather you having in the UK 🇬🇧 I too have scorched my sledgehammer rim with a Zippo 😢 Thanks for the chat and sharing a pipe with me 🌬💨💨 Have a wonderful day and Happy smoking 👏🏼 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Good morning Sir Yusuf - unless you’ve totally scorched it down past the stain and into the briar (highly unlikely), it’s just darkened the wax and the stain. Take a cotton rag, a decent amount of saliva on it, and rub rub rub the rim. It should take the darkening off the rim. I do this usually every other smoke and it keeps the rim in good shape.
Enjoy your holiday, Simon.

I usually like aromatics, but tried OGS and it is amazing. Room note is very delicate and disappears very quickly so an ideal blend to smoke indoors.
