I am on the fence with this bike. Gave up biking about 10 years ago, had a Karizma 2004 model back then. I think the GS310 would be a great successor on getting me back.

It is a great bike.. if you are buying it for the purpose it is meant for.. Otherwise for mostly highway riding the experience will be better on 390 Adv
Good one and nicely explained 👍 I had first lot of g310gs and I ended up loading the bike with accessories over worth 200k and after first long ride with adventure I sold the bike. Felt they should have given 350-400 cc engine as power to weight ratio was not justified, bike felt like 25 bhp against claimed output.
Mate!!! I’m not even looking to buy this bike… or any bike for that matter. I just came back for Ladakh and had hired a Himalayan in Leh for 10 day which rekindled my interest in riding after about 15 years. So i somehow came across your video. The points you made were very real. Especially the point you made about the spokes. Riding in Ladakh is not trail riding for sure. And you dont always need ‘the best’ to be the top achiever. Pretty sure most bikes are limited in their performance by their riders - as you pointed out.

Inside my heart I want a light weight tourer !! Had shifted my decision to but Benelli 502 trk . But listening to you I realised that light weight is what I always enjoyed . Owned a pulsar 135 since 2011 and enjoyed it cutting through the traffic so much . And I actually rode the pulsar 135 - Blr-Hyd, Blr - Goa, Hyd - Chennai and short rides. Well said li utilise the bike 100 percent instead 10 percent !
Glad to hear that! Yes rather than coming under pressure of getting the better bike.. put the pressure and become the better rider! 👍 Motorcycles are easy to buy.. you can always upgrade once you have exploited the full potential!
Hahaha.. Good choice.. Benelli would have been a pain in the wrong place.. just not a good bike.. though do ride KTM adv.. that is also very good.. different flavour.. maybe you will connect more with it.. test ride both and then only buy.. both are great bikes offering different experience
@@NomadSam yes Sam... I test rode 390 adv and found its suspension not at all gentle. My wife complained and that’s off the list. Also there is lot of noise from chain and engine when I test rode . 310 GS is definitely the best in terms of suspension and also I could handle 310 GS like a street bike ... I will definitely use the bike more thoroughly than any other adv ! So Bmw 310 GS it is !! Your video came in just nick of time 😜😜🤪 I would have booked binelli by this weekend 👍
Hey Sam, my bike is in run in period. Usually in traffic or riding in city I think the fan comes on quite often. Do you have any observations and suggestions on it?
I am ex KTM guy! Pankha to meri zindagi thi! 🤣.. There is nothing wrong.. These bikes are high compression engines..and run hot! So it is nothing out of the ordinary in stop and go City traffic.. You ride on the highways... The heating is not as much because the radiator is constantly catching air hence you don't have the fan activating often
@@NomadSam People are buying superbikes and keeping it locked in their garage because of service and maintenance cost while you are enjoying the full potential of your bike..... A great inspiration for the youth 💥😍

It is a great bike.. if you are buying it for the purpose it is meant for.. Otherwise for mostly highway riding the experience will be better on 390 Adv

I had first lot of g310gs and I ended up loading the bike with accessories over worth 200k and after first long ride with adventure I sold the bike. Felt they should have given 350-400 cc engine as power to weight ratio was not justified, bike felt like 25 bhp against claimed output.
The power delivery is quite different.. I agree! 🙏👍

Mate!!! I’m not even looking to buy this bike… or any bike for that matter. I just came back for Ladakh and had hired a Himalayan in Leh for 10 day which rekindled my interest in riding after about 15 years. So i somehow came across your video. The points you made were very real. Especially the point you made about the spokes. Riding in Ladakh is not trail riding for sure. And you dont always need ‘the best’ to be the top achiever. Pretty sure most bikes are limited in their performance by their riders - as you pointed out.

Inside my heart I want a light weight tourer !! Had shifted my decision to but Benelli 502 trk . But listening to you I realised that light weight is what I always enjoyed . Owned a pulsar 135 since 2011 and enjoyed it cutting through the traffic so much . And I actually rode the pulsar 135 - Blr-Hyd, Blr - Goa, Hyd - Chennai and short rides. Well said li utilise the bike 100 percent instead 10 percent !

Hahaha.. Good choice.. Benelli would have been a pain in the wrong place.. just not a good bike.. though do ride KTM adv.. that is also very good.. different flavour.. maybe you will connect more with it.. test ride both and then only buy.. both are great bikes offering different experience
@@NomadSam yes Sam... I test rode 390 adv and found its suspension not at all gentle. My wife complained and that’s off the list. Also there is lot of noise from chain and engine when I test rode . 310 GS is definitely the best in terms of suspension and also I could handle 310 GS like a street bike ... I will definitely use the bike more thoroughly than any other adv ! So Bmw 310 GS it is !! Your video came in just nick of time 😜😜🤪 I would have booked binelli by this weekend 👍

Hey Sam, my bike is in run in period. Usually in traffic or riding in city I think the fan comes on quite often. Do you have any observations and suggestions on it?
I am ex KTM guy! Pankha to meri zindagi thi! 🤣.. There is nothing wrong.. These bikes are high compression engines..and run hot! So it is nothing out of the ordinary in stop and go City traffic.. You ride on the highways... The heating is not as much because the radiator is constantly catching air hence you don't have the fan activating often
