The Bar Crawl Continues & Is This Rock Music??? NCL Breakaway Vlog

- Our bar crawl on the NCL Breakaway continues at Maltings Whiskey Bar. Well, we had a drink here before but didn't record it, so it didn't count. This time we both decided to order a whiskey drink because, well we are at a whiskey bar! Next up, back to Lido... we hadn't been to the Lido deck since early in the day. Drinks from the Juice Bar is marked off our list. Then we remember that it is Asian night at Garden Cafe, and well we are hungry, so it's time to eat! One final drink at the Waves Pool Bar before heading in to Rock of Ages. Jason did get a drink at the bar in the theater before the show, but we could not record in there so you will just have to take our word for it. Rock of Ages is absolutely amazing... but not so much the Tenors of Rock in Syd's Pour House after the show... Jason has LOTS to say about this act!

We are sailing on Breakaway in June. I noticed in a comment below that they made reservations prior to the cruise. I will look on the website for reservations. It would be great to see a video on making reservations for activities on the ship and for excursions. I just noticed the other day that there are no excursions for Nassau Bahamas. That seemed like a red flag to me. Thanks for everything!

We really enjoyed Rock of Ages as well! Gotta agree with Jason. It was a tad bit long but great! Glad you both enjoyed it as well. And as for the "rock show" you went to...didnt see that when we were on the ship. But...i would have walked out too lol wowwwww....thats all i have lol

I AGREE.. it aint rock 'n roll without live instruments . I was on the NCL Getaway and they had the million dollar quartet. THEY played their own instrument.

We cruised the Breakaway in December 2018 and loved Rock of Ages show too! Definitely NOT for kids or some people, definitely a broadway class show ! Glad we missed the rock show in Syds 🥂
Thanks for the good review of Rock of Ages, going on Breakaway in May and the other day made reservations for Rock of Ages. Love NCL, but haven’t ever been thrilled with many of their shows, so I was hoping Rock of Ages would be good. Great Vlog.

Rock of Ages was great. Saw the later show, luckily it started on-time. People were frantic to get their drinks before the show though! I saw the Tenors of Rock the next night, they were in the Speigel Tent and, IDK, I thought they were pretty good. The only show of the whole cruise I really thought was bad was the hypnosis show by the same guy who does the magic act.

Tenors of Rock.. are Awesome.. IF.. you know what you are getting. Their main team (original members) are in Vegas. They have multiple groups under their name on cruise ships. I saw part of the original group when they were on the Jade in 2016 prior to going to Vegas. The original members were finalists on the X factor in 2013. But if you went for a real band... that can be very disappointing. Plus.. those in your clip weren't as good as the true TofR members. ****FYI.. boarding the Breakaway in one week. Just posted a PSA about Rock of Ages for any parents wondering if it's family friendly. Love your videos.
Jason ended up talking to ‘Shaggy’ later in the cruise in the spa and he gave him the back story. Nice guy! We were just expecting rock music 😂. So excited for you!!! Have a wonderful cruise!!

Before it was Syd's it was a club called FatCat's. There was a blues band with authentic talented musicians that were accustomed to playing it real, on the road. Packed house every night. Those boys singing to a sound track was lame, karaoke stuff.

So, it’s my understanding that room service is not included in your specialty dining package?
I'm guessing that the different themes for the buffet and some specials at the other restaurants might be on the daily sheet that gets delivered to your cabin for the next day or the day, but is there a list somewhere of all the upcoming ones? Or if it's all the same usually every cruise, maybe it's online? Being Chinese from a city with amazing Asian restaurants, I would skip the buffet on Asian night and make sure that I go for some of the other nights if I knew ahead of time. (But I don't know that I care enough to plan this that I want to line up to ask someone at a desk onboard when I get onboard).
By the way, you two are so cute. I loved the review of the rock tenors, lol.
If I remember correctly it is in the daily newsletter but I don’t remember seeing the full week schedule. I am pretty sure it is the same each week so if you ask someone who works in the buffet area they could tell you.

Kat P Food is included on every cruise line as is water, tea, bottled or canned juice and maybe a few other beverages. You pay by the drink for soda pop, fresh squeezed juice, alcoholic beverages. You also pay for any port excursions like snorkeling. If you want to eat at the “specialty dining “ restaurants that is also a per person fee. Most cruise lines now have various “drink packages” and “specialty dining” packages for an extra fee. That fee may or may not include the 18% to 20% gratuity. The Norwegian cruise line has been running a special “free at sea” where you get 3 or 4 perks at no additional charge. These include premium beverage, 3 meals at specialty dining restaurants, internet up to 250 gigs, on board credit, etc... its one reason I’m going to book the Norwegian Breakaway. An alcohol package on some cruises w gratuities for 2 people will be darn near a $1,000 for a 7 day cruise. If you book a spa suite on Norwegian like they did, you get access to the spa thermal suite which includes thermal pool, hot tub, dry sauna, wet sauna, steam room, salt bath. That’s what I want to book! Do your research on CZcams (Alisa and Jason are some of the best cruise critics on CZcams IMO) and Cruise Critic dot com has great ship information and reviews and other very helpful information. I am also working with a travel agent to get the best deal and they can watch for price drops and make sure I’m getting the lowest possible price. They do not charge you. They get a commission from the cruise line. Hope this helps. Do your research!🤗

NO stupid effing Barber Shop stuff (unless it's hot chicks in lingerie or something, I can sit for that, but that's where I draw the line) You'd expect that kind of nonsensical crap in a Macy's dept. store.

Wow!! Where does these 4 guys come from? Their singing was terrible and badly out of sync I can believe they are fitting to be on a cruise ship for entertainment.
