    Hi, you can always use the embroidery thread and a large eye hand needle to fill in spaces. I usually double the thread when I put it in the needle so I end up with four stands of thread. Just tie it off at the back. You can also tape the stablizer to the hoop.

    The one bag that gave you grief. Once I had did a name. It was on my se1900 and a few letters were jacked up. I just redid the letters that had looked messed up, ( backing up the stitches to redo it again) and it looked perfect like the rest of the name. Just a thought if you have a letter look bad because of thread breaking. It was just something I tried to save my project. I can’t wait to own a multi needle machine. Love your videos. 😊

    I replaced the screws on the brackets with allen screws. It works much much better and you can get them much tighter. Also small magnets on the backside of the hoop will hold the stabilizer in place for you. You can also just hit the 100 on the control panel when you get the axis error and it will reset for you. I’ve also found that putting the thread behind the little hook above the needle will mess with your tension and cause you to shred the thread.

    Hi Brittany. I keep magnets on my Ricoma to keep my tools, tweezers and scissors close by.

    Great job fighting through your problems!
    I keep a scrap shirt hooped up beside my machine so I can run a quick “I” test on my working needle, to check my tension prior to starting a tricky job like this.

    You should try using bungee cords to hold the bag up

    Looks great. Think it would be easier to just remove the hoop to change needles and such. 😊

    There are Allen screwdrivers. In tight spaces they work better

    Great work around. I saw a video of someone using the sticky back stabilizer with the mighty hoop. Didnt your Ricoma come with the table?

    • @brittanybriggs3806
      @brittanybriggs3806  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes it came with the table but I've never used it, plus I don't like using the sticky backing with my mighty hoops they can leave a stucky residue and I don't like that.

      I hate to ask. Have you ever a no needle error code. My machine got locked up somehow. I wasn't able to get it back to 100 degrees. Finally this morning I was able to turn the knob to 100 but needle 6 was still down in the bobbin case. And I'm getting a no needle error code.

    Can you change the thread color to another needle temporarily. Reset it on your computer.

    • @brittanybriggs3806
      @brittanybriggs3806  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I was so confused with this message, but you are suggesting I change the thread to another needle until the project is done to change out the broken needle. OMG why didn't I think of that 🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @ritafoot2258
      @ritafoot2258 Před 3 měsíci

      You bet. That's exactly what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. In the moment, when you're filming, there is too much other things to think of. Thanks for all your youtubes, I love watching all your reality.

    Were these names digitised, or just typed out in your program? I have a Ricoma 10 needle machine, but haven't used it yet. So nervous!!!

  • @jameswoodall-tw3yo
    @jameswoodall-tw3yo Před 3 měsíci +1

    Are you doing your own digitizing or are the font (numbers and letters) pre-digitized and you purchase the whole alphabet and numbers?

    • @brittanybriggs3806
      @brittanybriggs3806  Před 3 měsíci

      When it comes to simple design like this bag I do it myself through the Chroma software that came with my Ricoma machine. Now this font was done with Chroma but I have a full video on where I get fonts for free.

    Brittany, Did you get personal training from Ricoma? I have an EM1010 & the only training I got was virtual. You seem REALLY proficient with your machine. I even have issues with changing the bobbin & needle. When you get settled in your new beautiful home, would you consider making training videos...step by step on the basics of how to do things? I find Ricoma kinda not helpful on those kind of things & their videos are not detailed enough for me.

    • @brittanybriggs3806
      @brittanybriggs3806  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I only received the virtual training as well. I've learned from watching Ricoma videos and really just trial and error as I go along. But yea I can do step by step videos no problem, I can break them down and do smaller videos so they are easier to go back and watch.
