To come back at 34 and do what she did after all he injuries was incredible. I sadly missed this race as I was at the Reading Festival, but saw the first one and was so happy when she won, she has been the most deserved Sports Personality of the year in recent times I think.

Whilst waiting for the bus to school in the morning, we'd see Kelly fly past us on her morning run in Hildenborough. That was the years of 2000 and 2001. As kids we never thought we were witnessing a future double olympic champion. Whilst doing my summer job in pizza express in Tonbridge, I had the pleasure of serving her when she came to eat a couple of times :)

True story , me my mates grew up in tonbridge next town over from where Kelly did , she went to our school left before us being older , one day at a local running track she was practicing on with a lady who was a teacher from our school , my friend Ben decided that she wasn’t that quick and challenged her to a race of 400 metres , Kelly had all ready run 15/20 laps , anyway my mate Ben had to go home to change his top because of the sick over it when he gave up in the first 300 metres , even now we remind him the time he nearly beat her !

Foster never fulfilled his true potential and bottled it in the olympics. Don't get me wrong here, I have a tremendous admiration for Kelly Holmes, she made these olymics for me.
However Foster seems obsessed with making ridiculous comparisons between men and women (typical BBC).
When a female athlete made a great time in a marathon, the idiot Foster went back as far as he could (many decades) to find a male marathon runner and said she would have beat him. Try learning about gender politics.
