i start script writing next month but my composition and visual design isnt till may. does that mean ill receive it in may before the visual and composition class or at the end of script witting techniques?
Heading into my 4th week of scriptwriting. I enjoy this class a lot and found a new passion in scriptwriting, but the class is stupid hard and I feel the quizzes were very contradicting to what was in the textbook (which I read). Anyways, I get the last launch box next week, I hope??? Haven’t gotten a shipping notice
I'm so happy you said something I'm about to save our life lol! If you go to your student or personal email search for an email titled "DCIB CAMERA SHIPMENT". You MUST respond to that email! If you haven't received your camera package by the last Thursday in script writing, you'll be dropped out of Composition & Visual Design which is what almost happened to me. I had no idea there was an email or confirmation process. There's going to be a linked attached that will look something like this. forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=DlkTnXBm1ke2NO553wGGREsvLGcr5TVCnYYNRzypc9BUNzFSTlA5MlZWS1FSREYwSk5ZUE5aUkdRTC4u . ( Do not fill this one out) Full Sail will NOT send your gear without you submitting a form aka confirming your address, considering this HUGE Package requires a signature. Another tip, although I responded to the email, it's best to talk with someone on the phone so they can rush your package and have it arrive in 1-2 business days. I went the entire first week without my gear and every assignment requires your camera, so that was a pain in the neck. But on the other hand, I totally agree! Script writing was pretty hard but the following course Composition and Visual design is soooo much harder! Especially for the students who have never worked with the FS5 ii before or any professional camera, also when it came to using required editing software such as Lightroom and premiere pro. But after visual storytelling 2, you'll be able to edit in Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Audition with your eyes close like a pro!

I feel the same! I actually have a MFA from full sail in screenwriting, and when I took the screenwriting class in this program, it was hard, and the quizzes seem like the answers are wrong even when you find them in the actual book.
Mine ships next week! I have a question why do they say we're getting FS5 and not the MKII?
Congrats on the shipment! You’ll receive the FS5 because Full Sail works with Sony, not only do they prefer the brand all professors work off of the FS5. It’s easier to help the student if their working with the same gear. Mk is kind of better for photos not necessarily vids

What is your goal after graduation?!
HEYYYY!! Ok so heres the thing, as soon as I graduate from Full Sail in November of this year, a few days later I start my journey of getting a bachelors in Mathematics, which is what I was going to do first. Mathematics is my plan B, so of course I'll be looking for a job with my bachelors degree from Full Sail but I'll still be a student just a totally different degree. I love film and without a doubt in my mind I'll have a very successful career in it, but in the back of my mind i just feel like I need to have a "real" career bagged up for myself. I'm a master with math & numbers, so wether it's becoming a engineer or using my math degree in the film industry as a production accountant, both go hand and hand for me! So if I can't find work in the industry right away, which i'm expecting it take some time, Continuing to build my CZcams channel, continue to do local film projects in my city and then you have places like the new stations and if you look into the NFL stadiums in your state they are ALWAYS hiring film students or full time individuals with degrees looking for film work!

Hey I’d like to know how the degree for you was. How were the classes. Did you enjoy them? Where you able to get jobs once you got your degree? How is networking? Lol a lot of questions
Fantastic degree! 29 months so about 28 classes! Enjoyed most of them but not all, after month 9 it gets very serious and hard to film if you work a 9-5 or already have a complicated schedule. Most of my networking have been done thru social media, and networking from my Full Sail CZcams Videos in the comment section lol. Most people DM me on IG.
Hello I’m thinking about going to full sail for an online BA for sports marketing & media. Wanted to ask is there anything I should know about the school before committing
I’m not sure what that program consist of, but it’s pretty easy if you go online. I’m sure campus is a little more hands on, the only difference being some programs on campus won’t have a launchbox, online you automatically get one. On campus you work with professionals, online it’s up to you and your online professor. It’s superrrr easy and it’s probably the best choice I’ve ever made in my life. I’ve learned so much within these pass 10 months. Online after 29 months you’ll graduate with your bachelors on campus 20 months. You have the option to opt out at your associates, but I’m not sure when that exact time is. Here’s a link to everything you’ll receive from the school based on sports media & marketing. Yup! It’s apart of tuition, so technically you paid for it! 🤪

When they delivered your launch package did you get a notification? Or anything? I work all day and if they put the launch box outside my door all day someone will probably take it.
Once you go in and confirm your package through email and by phone, then you’ll receive a tracking # and confirmation. This package requires a signature so if no ones home they won’t deliver it. When my package arrived in Houston I was in Miami at the time so I went on the FedEx website www.fedex.com/en-us/shipping/hold-at-location.html filled out the information and had them hold my packages at the fed ex location near my house. In order to pick up your packages all you need is your ID. Make sure you get this handled because if not Fedex will ship it right back to Full Sail within 2 days of holding it and this package is REQUIRED in the rest of your classes. Week 1 without my package was hard!!

So as soon as you receive the tracking number, enter it in the FedEx website right away!

By when you get your equipment how many credits or how far you have to be to recieve everything
Not sure about credits, but you'll receive everything at the end of month 9 so you can use it in month 10 going forward.

Nah, you’ll get the IPad on month 2 and the MacBook in month 4

No, you have to plug them up. If your light bulb goes out, it’s up to you to buy another one.

The difference is campus students get to use ARRI ALEXA, RED cameras...I mean that alone is dope

What happens if you're on financial aid and not paying in advance?
Full Sails Liaison's team will call you almost every second of the day to get this situation handled. They'll encourage you to fill out Financial aid if you haven't already for whatever year they need of file. If you need more money they'll offer scholarships or parent plus loan options. It's so much easier to answer the call and get it handled. Full Sail will not allow you to continue courses without some form of payment. You'll end up on financial probation, automatically dropped out of all courses, behind on receiving your launch box, and lets hope it dosen't get this far but you'll automatically be considered a dropout. Full Sail is a for For Profit organzation meaning their llllll about money!
