An absolutely mandatory video to combine with your original set, really informative! Really hope these come out for all your sets to really help teach how to use them in combinations with their booklets!
I'm planning to create specific videos to help out with each set, to explore them more and use them to the max. It will take a bit of time though as the backlog of videos to do is increasing every day!
@@kimeramodels That's amazing! Looking forward to seeing them, thank you so much for your assistance to the hobby and the paints!
22:10 Did not realize that if I am mixing an chromatic black and add white, I am affectively greying the color. It make so much sense! Very good stuff!
I have watched so many color mixing videos and this was the first one that clicked. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thanks!
Incredible, many thanks. Having these videos on the channel has given me the confidence to buy my first kimera paints!
Great video 👌 I learned a lot and certainly will watch multiple times.
Such great theory vids. Easiest vids I have ever watched by far. Can’t wait to get home and copy them to cement the theory in my thick head. Cheers
I am a "nerd of colours" and I enjoyed this video
You are in good company with other nerds of colours :D
This is huge. Just what I needed to see.
Thank you.
I'm very glad this is helping!
THIS IS SUPER USEFUL TUTORIAL!
For non art people like me, how to mix the colors and maintaining chroma is one of the biggest challenges.
Thanks for sharingthis with us! Cant wait to try my kimera kolors!
This video is a big help and all I can ask is please produce more. Perhaps some with examples on painted figures, even just Space Marine backpacks, to show blending ect. Also can’t wait for the signature colours from the kickstarter, which I sadly missed out on. Any idea when they will be released?
You can watch the newest video out as I'm painting on a miniature so you can actually see what is going on :). As for the paint release, we are not sure yet but in a form or the other next year.
Master! Such a a great a useful tutos!
You brought it to the point: that you train your eyes to see the nuances and understand colors in general. You’re really awesome as a teacher, thanks for letting us know Maestro Agostini! 🙇🏽♂️🙏🏼 keep it up!!🤘🏼🐝💨💨
thank you very much!
Video utile e spiegazione chiara. Complimenti per l'ottimo lavoro!
why such a good video got only hundreds view? Can I share it out?
For sure. Was thinking the same.
Thank you it would be surely helpful!
I really loved your video. I thought I knew how to use the color wheel, but I didn't until I saw this video.😅 Make more videos like this 😇
Thank you very much! Happy it helped!
Simply the best color mixing guide!
Oh grazie!!!
Such great video's! Thank you so much for making these! I am sure it will lower the barrier to entry and get more out of them for people that already own Kimera Kolors.
We hope to help people get the best out of their paints and improve in general ^_^ Thank you!
Such an interesting video. It made me realize how little I know about colors and the need for more practice on this topic. Your explanation is very clear and understandable, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Glad it helped, in the channel there are more videos about this topic that you may enjoy, especially the latest one.
This is a very informative and valuable tutorial. Thank you!!!
I am new to painting minis or more so 3d printed objects in general. I studied fine arts and traditional oil painting and these are the only colors for that usecase that actually make any sense to me :D. I don't get the need for a milllion different pre mixed colors other than convenience maybe.
Will try out the kimeras for sure.
This is a fantastic tutorial, thank you so much :)
wow the part on the difference between red and green shade blue was super interesting!
I just discovered these tutorials through a Dscord I'm on. So useful!
Just wanna say thank you😭
I'm glad my videos are helpful!
Great video, everything seems more logical to my head!! It was very helpful
wow
This vid needs to be seen by every colour mixing hobby painter, if they hae the kimeras and feel like they don't get the best out of them because of a skill deficit (like me), well then this vid will fix it or at least help them be happy faking it 😎
Thanks ^_^ I'm glad you liked it.
I hope people who liked this video will help share it out. We are in the infancy of this Channel, so every little help is important :)
fantastic video~! i look forward to the next one =)
Great video! As a miniature painter that is also working in the screen printing industry, I loved your way to describe the mixing process.
Thank you very much ^_^
Grazie, ottima guida. Tutto molto dettagliato e chiaro.
A fantastic and informative video. Thanks for sharing it.
I cannot wait to try all the whites! 😉
Thank you for making this video! It is really interesting and will help me a lot in my painting journey!
Thanks for sharing!
Very informative video. I am definitely going to play around with the base set more on the next couple of projects I have laid out.
Have fun! This is what I hoped to read :D
Amazing video, thanks!
Thank you very much!
would be nice to see some kadmium colors tho. like kadmium red and bright yellow and maybe some ultramarines
Cadmium is toxic and we don’t produce colors using toxic compounds sorry
Thanks for the video
Fantastic video and very useful information for a color theory newbie like me.
Question: What is the cool looking desk lamp on the table behind you during the intro? I am in the market for another task light.
That lamp is the best thing I ever bought honestly! It's the BenQ WiT. You can adjust power and color of the light, it has a great lit area and it doesn't alter the color perception. It's really something (but it's expensive).
Thank you for your comment :)
Thanks a lot very informatice and clear. Would your white be a Titanium white pigment or a Zinc white pigment? For mixing Zinc white is less overpowering, giving you more mixing control.
Titanium most of the time. I have zinc too but I rarely reach for it, only when it’s imperative that you blend a lot and you don’t need covering power. In that zinc is surely better.
How do you usually recreate your mixes? Do you mix again by eye? Do you memorize/write down exact ratios you've used?
I do it by eye, it's the best training to become better. Slight variations are also good for making things look more realistic
Any chance you do the same video but with the expansion set? Grazi mille!
The expansion set works a bit differently, so not exactly the same video but a video that explains some of the uses of each color and how to mix them to obtain cool things is definitely on the table. A video that touches some of this aspects is coming up already though :)
@@kimeramodels Much appreciated, PS: I bought the base and expansion after watching this video ;)
One of the most useful video i`ve seen)
But i can not understand why kimera in video is so waterish, my kimera set are very thick like scale75 artisk one =( Can not understand
They are, but I picked them up with a wet brush so there was water in it
Great video. Do I have to dilute your paints or can I apply them directly on my mini ? Thank you.
I’m planning a video on dilution specifically because the answer is “it depends”. As a rule of thumb, yes dilute them up to the point the paint flows well from the brush but still adhere to the mini.
One video would be great, indeed. Do I use water or some kind of medium ? Thank you very much.@@kimeramodels
@@jhrykkjutku I use both, depending. I mostly use the Flow Improver from Winsor and Newton when i use a medium.
16:00 very much guilty! 😄
ahah :D
This is a great colour lesson, thank you. I would love to buy your paints but will have to save up for some time. 🥲
