Some people are saying that the GMG do do not maintain their set temperatures to the correct temperature you set it at? Have you had that issue where the probes are reading like 5 degrees difference between two sides of the grill, and neither side hits the set temperature? Thank you!
You can calibrate the probes. Any smoker or grill is going to be off a couple of degrees because of the thermal mass of the fire box and heat tray in the center of the smoker. I would not stress too much about the external smoker temp because the important temperature is the internal temp of the meat. Just remember that any pellet grill is controlling a fire to maintain temp so they are not going to be a perfect science like a traditional electric heating element in your oven.
Love your videos. Bought the DB prime plus and tried to update the firmware and switch to WiFi mode but haven’t had success. It never finds my grill on the home network. Now I lost the grills Wifi. Looked up how to do a reset but my grill doesn’t have the “food” button it tells you in the manual to hold down while unplugging and then plugging it back in. Any idea how you do a reset?
Don, Maybe you can help with this one: I use the app, I set a meat probe target temp. Then I go to the buttons on the grill and select a probe. I can then use the up/down arrows to change the probe's target temp (new to me). Unfortunately, now I cant get the display back to the internal grill temp. Very strange. Give it a try and see if you can figure out how to display the grill temp. Thanks Don.
@@shawndejong6699 awesome man. I just got mine yesterday. I did chicken yesterday and just pulled the tri tip on right now. I will say, my other wood/charcoal give me more smoke flavor on chicken at least. I'm going to try a brisket this weekend. Definitely way easier.

make sure the tray is in both left acs right channels.

I just got my Daniel Boone. It seems to smoke alot at first. Comes out all over. Is this normal? It does settle down in a bit.

When I power down my prime plus...my screen is blank but my ignition rod stays on and glows red until I unplug it!! 🤔
