    This is a seriously helpful video. It should have far more views! It helped us choose 3 trees for our garden along with the one about evergreen trees video. Thanks

    Great video with some trees I’d never heard of! I’ve just planted betula pendula and a prunus cerasifera nigra in my garden.

    Great video. After watching your wonderful video. I purchased a nice eternal flame tree (no 10 in video) . What a wonderful tree it is. Looking forward to seeing it grow. Thank you Murphy's Garden.

    hat a wonderfully helpful video. I so wanted to know about all the things you so carefully researched on each tree which has helped me to make my decisions on which ones to have. Of course, I wanted to have them all! Are you thinking of doing one on evergreen trees or very tall hedges preferably evergreen ones. Otherwise, thank you so much. I really loved and appreciated the video.

    • @MurphysGarden
      @MurphysGarden  Před 2 lety

      I’m so glad you found it helpful, I enjoyed researching each one. Yes, I meant to do one on evergreen trees last winter but didn’t quite get around to it, but I’ll make sure I do! I have done a video on hedges and one on pleached trees, they seem quite popular so will do more. Thanks for the valuable feedback! Jenny

    Enjoyed your video as I’m in the process of choosing a tree for a north facing aspect in a small garden. Very interested in the idea of visiting a specialist tree nursery as opposed to a garden centre. Can you recommend one? I’m in the East Midlands but willing to travel!

    • @MurphysGarden

      Yes, you are near The Barcham tree nursery situated in Ely in Cambridgeshire and it is one of largest tree nursery of its type in Europe! Definitely worth looking into - good luck

    Maybe it's because you're in England but you failed to mention the cold hardy zones for these trees for North America that would be appreciated other than that very good commentary

    • @MurphysGarden
      @MurphysGarden  Před rokem +1

      The United Kingdom lies in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 6 through 9 so all the trees mentioned are certainly suitable for these zones. I appreciate your comments and will bear in mind my American audience in future videos who may lie outside these zones and add it in my research
      Thanks for your feedback and for watching

      @@MurphysGarden that is good information thank you I had thought that England had a wide range of zones now that I know it is from zones 6 through 9 I think that is awesome because you can handle tropical plants and there are some very nice tropical plants but I live in zone 5B so that is a no-go for me thank you for that information happy gardening

    Plant trees that are indigenous to your area so you support your native ecosystem

    This would have been a much better video if she gave the growing zone and dimensions in ft not meters.

    • @daniel2238
      @daniel2238 Před 2 lety +2

      We don’t typically use growing zones in the U.K (probably because the land mass is incredibly small compared to the U.S.A)
      Also, keep in mind that metres is now used by the majority (we do use feet and inches, but predominantly metres, centimetres and millimetres).
