    The footage of you pulling up that steep incline! Yes. Would love to see more of these. We have pulled our 30ft Glacier Peak from outdoors RV up some pretty crazy roads. The suspension is spectacular! Our coffee pot didn’t move. Nothing fell! I was shocked 😳

    Everything I need to know about OutdoorRV built travel trailers can be summed up in the quality of the cabinet doors vs other travel trailers. You can tell they are solid vs less robust. I watched the RV video you put out and that really was a great enhancement to my research. Now it is just a matter of getting to Pendleton to look at some floor plans.

    For steps, check out the torklift glowstep system or Mor-ride step above system that fold up into the door way. Then you can take out and save the step box to give you clearance. If you sell the camper you can put it back on. Great tour. We have a similar floor plan. We have cougar half-ton 22rbs with the theatre seats in the slide. We love it.

    • @AdventurousWay
      @AdventurousWay  Před 4 lety

      We don't think we would like the stairs that fold up into the door way, because it seems it would take up more space when in down position. That would be awkward for travel days when we want to quickly get into the RV at the gas stations, truck stops or parking lots where there isn't much space. Also it seems that the ground needs to be flat at the bottom of the steps, otherwise they wobble a little. But we have checked out the other options.

    • @toddramsay977
      @toddramsay977 Před 4 lety

      @@AdventurousWay the bottom of the steps are adjustable for uneven ground. They don't come out any further than any other steps and you won't have to worry about clearance anymore, but I am partial to the glowstep system. They may be a little closer in tight spaces. It was a suggestion anyway.

    Thank you for all your great videos. We wanted to upgrade this year from a small 17ft Nash trailer to something more substantial and roomy. We did a lot of research and viewed your videos on the 21RBS, and especially enjoyed your factory tour videos and were impressed with the quality build. So just last week, we picked up a brand new 22FQS from a dealer in Oregon. We could not be happier! Still working on getting it outfitted before our first big trip, so really enjoyed this video on your inside and outside organization. We think outdoors RV should pay you a commission! 😉

    The ORV trailers are incredibly heavy for the length. Lot of extra material in the build. Carefully consider.

    • @AdventurousWay
      @AdventurousWay  Před 3 lety

      A big part of that is because they’re built to be strong and durable, unlike so many that are built to be cheap and light. It was a big selling point for us and we really appreciate the build quality of Outdoors RV. You’re absolutely right though that it’s something for people to consider when shopping for a tow vehicle and trailer combo.

    Great tour of a very well designed trailer...which again is amazingly similar to our 2019 Lance 1995. (Well, except for that gargantuan water tank you have!) I wish you had discussed its GVWR, its typical weight, and the tongue weight your F150 sees. In fact, a discussion about the Ford's GVWR, its payload (which I recall you saying is a bit limited) and how you managed overall weight distribution would be helpful to your viewers. We've found almost no one bothers to check their weights. Not a good thing.

    When you are boondocking...🤔how do you deal with laundry?

    • @AdventurousWay
      @AdventurousWay  Před 4 lety +3

      We go to laundromats to do our laundry. Typically the stay limit on public lands is 14 days so if we are in a remote area we do laundry on our travel day. (And look at laundromat parking lot on satellite view very carefully to make sure we can fit with our RV). Now in pandemic we do it even less frequently.

    How would your choices been different if you had not first bought the truck which dictated and narrowed your decision to begin with?

    • @AdventurousWay
      @AdventurousWay  Před 4 lety +1

      Good question! When we started researching RVs, I (Matt) was convinced we needed a huge 5th wheel and a dually truck to tow it with. Diana on the other hand would have been content with a tent in the back of the truck. As we researched more, our opinions converged on a smaller trailer. As it happened, that was just within the limits of what the F-150 could tow, but we never really constrained ourselves to only trailers that our truck could tow - we'd have bought a new truck if necessary. In fact, we were even considering motorhomes and vans too!
      Now, had we not already had the F-150 when we settled on the Outdoors RV 21RBS, would we have still bought the same truck? It's hard to say. For towing, a diesel would have been nice (albeit overkill for this size of trailer) but for our other driving needs (short daily drives, off-roading, etc) a diesel wouldn't have been ideal. This trailer is probably better suited to a larger truck than ours, so maybe we'd have ended up with a 3/4-ton or 1-ton.

    Is the OutDoor RV related to NorthWood Manufacturing. Both are off road and both in La Grand, OR? I have a 2021 NorthWood Nash 22h OTG and I’m seeing many similar things. The Bathroom door is exactly the same.

      @@AdventurousWay - I though my research was good but I think yours was better. We sold the Arctic fox to our neighbor and bought a Lance and I couldn’t stand it. We had it for 19 months and got rid of it. I wish I would have seen the Outdoor RV. After the Lance my 2 biggest must haves were lots of ground clearance and no slide.
