I started my freshman year at columbia at 23 years old. I was a professional musician for 5 years and I decided I wanted to becoming a physician. It’s a great uni. You all will love it. Goodluck everyone!

I love that you included little things like the laundry mishap & the fire alarm cause they just bring some funny reality to the vlog which I so appreciate haha !! I feel like a lot of youtubers' videos kind of give the impression that their daily lives are perfect and seamless and it's just nice to be reminded that everyone experiences those funny little oddities in life that you can't control & just have to run with ::)

When I was at Columbia, I didn't have the opportunity to live on campus. So I was living at the International House right next to the riverside church.
I love eating shake shack after class and every weekend we would go down to east village and try out different bars...
I did my final thesis defense at Hamilton Hall...and that was it!
International House seems BEAUTIFUL! Also a big fan of shake shack and have already had too many all nighters at Hamilton 😆. Will have to venture out of the Columbia bubble more often like you did, though. Great to meet a fellow lion :) Roar lion roar!
Hi Camilla, just wanted to let you know that I was nervous to apply to Columbia given the cost last year. I came across this video and saw that you are working in Finance while you are studying. I remember thinking, "If she can do it, maybe I can too?" and applied to Columbia GS, got in, and landed a part-time job for this Fall. Thank you for making this video :)

Me too I’m from the U.K. and it means I’ll be an International student and it’s so hard to get to the U.S. as a student from the U.K. this is what I’ve seen from research I wish you look!

As a Columbia alum, I adored this video! It captured what everyday life felt like for me while attending, and of course, it brings back wonderful memories of the years I spent on that absolutely beautiful campus! (Seriously - - I attended both Columbia and Harvard for different degrees, and Columbia's campus kicks Harvard's ass, lol)

Yeah as much as Harvard is a staple school it’s campus ain’t the greatest. Columbia has the best out of the 8 ivies. I think it’s because of location too cause if u know the history of Harvard it wasn’t built in a city setting like Columbia was.

Nice video, I plan on applying to Columbia this year, but I would like to know some more things about it. How is the work-life balance for you? Do you have free time to tour NYC? And how stressful is the environment, and how do you cope with it?
It all depends on how well you can manage your time. Aside from exam season, I have always have had enough time to spend time with friends or go explore the city if I plan my school work/internships/extracurriculars accordingly. It can be a bit stressful at first, but creating a schedule really helps.

I have a question Camilla! as a student of Culmbia university, do you also hang out with gs students? is there any barrier to hang out between CC students and GS students?
I’m in CC and have a few GS friends! GS does get completely separate housing so it is a bit easier to hangout with people in your own school, but you really wouldn’t know who’s in what school while you’re in class.

There are different libraries for different subject areas. We have a sciences an engineering library, art and architecture library, East Asian studies library, business and economics library, among many others!
