AJ has definitely gone down hill over the past few years⊠honestly itâs sad to see the company become money hungry and the continuous trash updates. Iâm not sure how much longer I wanna stick to this game, itâs been my whole childhood but honestly I think I might leave sooner or later. Itâs just not exciting like how it used to be, AJ just keeps reusing ideas and/or making horrible new ideas.

I quit AJ content because, well, there isn't much to post about it, unless it's negative. Sure, I could make update vids, but by time I do that, some other popular person had already posted about it and people would get annoyed.

Yeah I quit like 3 times and came back. I got hacked twice, (PLEASE NEVER AGAIN) dealt with 4 scammers, 2 people were just really extremely rude, and luckily I have ran into none inappropriate people. Probably because I am mostly in my den, but yeah..

Aj is treating their game like a discord server honestly, some people get banned for no reason and others get away with everything under the sun, people getting scammed while trying to get a colorful dinosaur, if you say something slightly critical of them you get chat restricted, and if you don't pay money you're treated worse by the community itself. Some days i really wonder if ajhq is just a bunch of discord mods trying to run a kids game

animal jam is definitely unprofessional, they have scammed me out of 30 dollars and i never got a refund or what i bought. my friend was scammed out of 50 dollars and whenever they contact AJHQ, the say something like animal's jams privacy policies yet it's not really about privacy, it's about money. The message i got when sending an email was sorry to hear that jammer! stay safe and i got suspended for 7 days. So, they basically were silencing me speaking out.

Honestly, this is kind of why I stopped playing animal jam a ton. I didnât want to spend my money on membership, and getting sapphires was always super tedious. And do I even have to mention how money hungry wild works is? So I pretty much have stopped playing it altogether.

(Except for the paranormal stuff part, Iâve never experienced anything like that as far as I can remember.)
AJ's slowly lost its magic for me ever since Feral kicked the bucket, I miss the idea of a fantasy RPG so much I made a fox dressed like a witch and traded alot of random stuff for that look. It took forever but it looked nice at least.

This has been a huge problem for my family, where Animal jam just kept taking money from my Dad's account. We tried to contact them, cancel the subscription, and even delete the account tied to it but it didn't work. It eventually worked after calling the company, but even then our money was lost since they were so greedy.

That data breach really screwed me over and I've hated Animal Jam and the company ever since. I had taken a break from the game and the community when it happened and had only heard about it a few months later when getting back into the game, but I was already too late. I had been hacked and all my good items and all my pets were taken. I'm still extremely upset even after all this time because I had really loved those items and the characters I've made but now I can't think or even look at the game the same way again. I hope whoever has my stuff is happy now (/s).
I feel your pain. I had taken a break from the game too, but when i came back, my email got hacked and people was using it to create Netflix accounts and more. I already changed the password (and it's kinda funny seeing people trying to enter in my account again), and deleted my main account in the game. Sadly, my second account never got deleted from the game, and i still don't know why they don't end it already.
But this case made me hate the company a lot. I wasn't very happy with the current situation of the game, and this data breach made me less happy with them.
That happened with me too dude, I just canât stand even entering the game again after all my progress, items and everything I had in the game just⊠vanished⊠and that happened with my friend too, she had to create another account and she lost EVERYTHING. Every. Item. She. Got. WAS GONE. And aj never did anything about that⊠plus they also banned me one entire day only for saying â:Dâ

Animal Jam keeps 'accidentally' robbing people of their money when it is inevitable that they should have been able to prevent it. Now I am not saying they are purposely scamming but more or less being lazy and disorganised with financial and security aspects of the game if that makes sense? It hard to describe but 12:15 has happened to me too.
When I purchased a membership with the money I got a membership only for it to say I bought ANOTHER membership the next day when I hadn't then around a week later it repeated and I had yet another membership. As fun as this 'triple membership' may seem I only wanted one and therefore lost around 12 euros because of this? I contacted ajhq about this but they never really replied? Instead, they just put one membership onto my account and called it a day.
NGL another thing thats pretty unprofessional was the person who made the floppy bunny ears hat didn't get credited until maybe a week later-... i also met them and they told us they never even got a rare tagged variant like all the other jammers did who made items. They did end up getting a rare tagged golden egg though.. They just wish they had gotten rare tag for the memory of it, but they do also appreciate that its in the game and people love it! I just feel bad for them â€âčïž

My original reason for my official swap to play wild from ajc was bc of the lack of memebership system. It was nice to feel equal to other players and to gets nice features in the game without paying money, however as time went on the membership aspect grew and I was constantly buying it even with real money. However now I barley play anymore so donât bother to buy it. But also I feel demotivated to every play when I get on due to the vast amount of features u lack without membership
I have been playing animal jam since I was 10, so about 6 years, and I still play regularly. I had come across an issue while submitting a masterpiece and emailed ajhq for help. They asked for me to go to a sketchy website and screenshot my ip address and send it to them before they answered my question. I work as an ethical hacker and know all the things that can be done with an ip address, so I refused to send it. But it worries me that ajhq is asking kids to go to sketchy websites to send their ip address to them, it is very unprofessional and ngl, scary to think this is where the game is going.

I'll always remember the AJ I started played in 2014/2015 and all the friends and adventures I had.
Both the game and community actually helped and inspired me to draw more than just mlp, legit don't think I'd be here without it XD
I was the last of my IRL friend group to quit (not counting my younger sister who randomly plays PW), I really hoped something would come up, new updates, new anything but no AJ was just left in the shadow of play wild.. I really miss having fun with random ppl and going on adventures to get rares, hosting fashion shows and pet sales, decorating my den and making a map out of it, adding to my collection of +200 animal characters, hosting art cons with aj prizes... can only hope another game like it gets made cuz I am not going back anymore.
Anyone can make a game or a game studio, doesn't take much other than money and hiring people. I wouldn't say AJ is unprofessional, but it's far from respected and transparent. The amount of bad things that happened in the last 2-3 years really just keeps getting bigger and worse.
Basically people, pack your bags, invest your items into something worth more like art and lock your accounts. I myself got sick of the neglect and direction WW was heading.. I would love for the games to become alive and popular again, get better and have as much new updates and content as they used to when I started playing, really I hope that happens but nobody knows how this will go, seems pretty negative but guess we'll have to see.
I've considered before quitting to open a new account and play from scratch, which is a fun idea to try if you still didn't give up on the game. But hey if you still log on to the original AJ, visit TheSpinnyVillage. I made it when Tiki Trouble came out which became my fav seasonal adventure.. +Julian2 fans loved to play in it.. I swear if I ever get to a point to be able to afford to make a multiplayer game I'll do one similar to AJ

When I saw the autumn coyote for the first time it was the second pattern animal came in a row. If animal jam did another pattern animal in December Iâm sick of having pattern animals. Today on animal jams instagram I saw the next animal isnât a pattern animal which Iâm happy about it.

Animal Jam used to be such a fun game to play. Now the company has gotten so greedy by being money hungry, I don't blame people for quitting. It's clear to see Wildworks doesn't care about their players anymore, especially if they're STILL allowing predators like hyenine1 or straycat2 in the game, but suspend/silence victims. I still play Aj from time to time (mostly to play TFD, I have a system where I do a chore in real life, then play a couple rounds of TFD, etc. I know it's dumb, but ehhh.) but I'm no longer invested in it. Don't get me started on the so called 'updates' they release, only to be the same thing every year, it's gotten to be boring.

When I played Animal Jam, I tried cancelling my membership, it said it was cancelled, but continued to charge for it monthly. I did still get the membership perks but it took calling AJHQ for them to actually cancel it. (I tried cancelling it MANY times before, it always said that it was already cancelled) Iâm not sure if this is helpful or not but this was just my experience đ
I stopped playing this game, after I could not recover my account because I found out they deleted accounts that have not been touched for even a year. Which sucked because I did spend money on this game, and wanted to play it more often but due to life reasons, I couldn't play it everyday and ended up dying from it (I don't know if it is true or not that they do delete accounts that have been inactive for a year).
Though after this, I'm kind of glad I stopped at this point.

lesser known fact. issues from the data breach are still occurring, usernames and passwords are still being leaked and there's a weird "black market" around getting and selling them. there's entire communities dedicated to it and it's highly disturbing as they empty recent accounts of all their items, pets, and saphs
source- accidentally joined a disc server for it when hunting for a normal ajpw one. it had roughly 400 members and while I was there I got screenshots n such of their activities. I did report them but I never got any reply from ajhq
I was done with this company the moment they scammed my money technically with Feral. I also invested into Animal Jam classic until they decided to make Play Wild and update it more. I was tired of putting my money down a hole, so I quit.

And, if you want more saps, all you have to do to purchase them is to do a Touch ID on a phone! That makes it way too easy for a kid to accidentally, or intensionally take advantage of their parent's money for sapphires.

Just wanted to say that maybe take a second or two to give a little bit of background on some things that a new viewer might be unfamiliar with. For example you mentioned the eggs and that AJ scammed people but I couldnât understand how they scammed people because I donât have the context. You mentioned that people didnât get the eggs towards the end of that section but I think more background would be nice so new viewers can have better understanding of whatâs going on. my account got hacked during that whole data breach thing, i lost all the rares i spent collecting througout my childhood all the way to high school. since im an adult and never really played besides logging on every once in awhile for nostalgia, it wasnt a huge deal for me. but it was still upsetting to see that their company let that happen and gave little to no sympathy or compensation to those effected by what happened. i cant even imagine how i would react if this happened to me when i was younger and still religiously played this game.
The company used to care about the quality of the game and the happiness of the players. Now all they care about is money. They are careless and unprofessional, which is the reason I have (unofficially) mostly quit the game and uploading videos from the game.

I agree with everything you said. It has also gotten worse since they banned Twistedwolf19870. Empyrea quit with that and many of their fans did. That was a lot of of the animal jam community that just left. I have have been playing this game for almost 7 years now and I have never seen anything this bad. But I can't wait to watch wildcraft grow, it looks like a lot of these jammers went to wildcraft. I'm even moving away from animal jam after almost 7 years. They can't seem to do the right things to the right people anymore. This ownership change has made a huge difference and it is not one I like. I can't believe the glitches and mistakes. I have never seen any this bad. They need to work harder are sell animal jam to someone who is more deserving and will put more work into these types of things.

I agree Animal jam is very unprofessional just last week i was hanging out with my buddies in the pillow room and some new jammers started hitting on us, and 2 weeks before that i was getting hacked consistently after getting new items and they took my acc from my email and i couldn't do anything about it, then yesterday my gold flaming jack-o'-latern tail from an outfit i was wearing got hacked. I believe they indeed need to rank up their security.

I remember playing AJ when I was younger, then I got back into it a few years back during the pandemic. I stopped playing after the breach of October 2020. Info belonging to me and my parents were leaked. (Thankfully nothing happened to us)
Not only that, but it began to get pretty boring even before the breach. I didn't know about it until I got the email.

I donât rlly have much to say. I quit animal jam for all these reasons because while the game was slowly going downhill for a while now itâs just dangerous, money hungry and toxic. Some people in the community are actually nice people and it brings me bittersweet nostalgia scrolling through the comment section to find all my old friends here from when I was a content creator for the platform.
The majority of the community though has just been completely ruined by hackers, scammers and (ugh) pr3d@tors-.
Idk what ajhq is doing but they need to stopâŠeven though Iâm no longer a part of this community and never want to be in it again, this still makes me mad and doesnât change the fact I believe strongly that something must be done.

i had bought membership again recently because i had like 2000 diamonds to spend. about a week ago i got online and all of my diamonds were gone overnight. i wasn't hacked. nobody logged into my account and i had all of my items the next day. i contacted support and they said they couldn't do anything about it đ

Someone in my pack had bought the membership but they actually were not given membership and had lost their money. I know this because they said what happened in pack chat asking what had happened and why they donât have the membership, I told them it may be a glitch and try to reset but every few days I would check their account to see if they have membership but every time I check they donât. Honestly I feel very bad for them, I hope they donât loose their money every month too because they bought it and that this doesnât happen to anyone else when they buy membership. đą
My best friend purchased membership about a week ago and never received it, but the money was still taken out of her bank account - at least that's what she told me. At this point, I'm kind of worried about having a recurring membership on my account, especially since it's not my money đ

I always bought the sapphire bundles but then they changed the number of sapphires and upped the price. . . Hi just wanted to say, i play animal jam regularly just because of some close friends. When i wanted to buy membership I bought it but it didnt go through. After i spent over 50 dollars in one go, I still didnt get my membership and just payed with saphs. I was rlly annyoed by this and all the membership plugging and presentations all over aj is kind of annoying..
Edit: Btw the membership issues happend with me as well, after i couldn't get membership when paying, a couple months later money from my account was going to aj for some reason. I had not bought any membership but i lost over 100 dollars somehow even without a membership. I was really mad and contacted aj but they did nothing in response.
