An Interview with Cathy Busby on Gary Neill Kennedy's HORIZONS

Visual artist Cathy Busby talks about her late spouse Garry Neill Kennedy’s conceptual art project "HORIZONS" (1980/2024), which forms the basis of the exhibition HORIZONS, on view at the Vancouver Art Gallery from March 9 to August 25, 2024.
Kennedy proposed that a selection of landscape paintings be rehung so that the horizon lines were at the eye level of the artist, and-when viewed together-these otherwise disparate landscapes would form one continuous horizon line around the gallery walls.
