  • Anointing of the Sick might be one of the least visible and most misunderstood sacraments. Who is it for? What is it supposed to accomplish? Should we assume that if a priest comes to anoint us it means our time's almost up? Kai and Libby walk us through what it means and why Catholics have it.

    You guys make learning about Christianity genuinely engaging and uplifting. I am surprised you guys don't have way more subscribers than you do due to the high quality production and succinct and bright explanations. Thank you for what you do, maybe even letting people who feel alienated feel the warmth of the Christian community (like me a bit), and helping people just learn more in general. I hope to see you guys come back, but if not, that's alright. I know you all have your lives. Thank you for everything!

      Good morning "meh", what a wonderful comment to start the day! It is our aim to present our faith in a way that is not preachy or finger pointing. At its core, our faith is about love and that is both the vehicle and the message of this series.
      We would love to have more subscribers, so please help us to spread the word! We are also hoping to have new episodes to shoot once we are allowed to go back to work safely. It may interest you to know that our time on set and the post-production process is a lot of fun, everyone thoroughly enjoys the work they do on this series.

    Does the Catholic oils actually heal or recover a person nearing to death, or is modern medicine more efficient and effective?

    • @CatholicCentralVideos
      @CatholicCentralVideos  Před rokem

      There is no "magic" in the "Oil of the Sick" (the oil used for anointing), it is just olive oil that has been blessed. Catholics believe this sacrament will bring about a different kind of healing, a healing of the soul. When the priest anoints the sick person, he is basically praying for God's will to be done and for the remission of that person's sins.
