I think the reason why these newer figures aren’t selling well is because wave one wave three and wave 5 had the interesting and popular Build a figures nowadays they don’t do that anymore which was a kind of trash move for the company The builder figure concept is the reason why these sell so well which made people buy the whole entire set just to get the figure that you need to build while collecting every figure in the set nowadays people can just get one of the newer figures without having to worry to collect all figures and some characters that they don’t care about. If I were Funko I would discontinue the snaps immediately and replace them with the original action figures with The show stage and overall just bring back the builder figure since that’s what brings peoples attention in my opinion
They would sell well especially the mystery minis if they did them cause they could do recolours same with the plushies but snaps to be discontinued I disagree with and for a build a fig for the withered they could do shadow bonnie or freddy or even golden freddy and also they could make tie dye re-colours of the withered s boom the kids problem solved the plushies the kids would love I’m a kid and I would buy it all my friends would aswell

Mangle would be an amazing build a figure for a Toy wave. Idk why they didn't make 8 Bit Baby the build a figure for the AR wave considering shes apart of the arcade mayhem event.

The last I checked at the nearby Walmart, there was an overflowing box of spring colored ones and a second box about halfway full of tie-dye ones and halfway full of misc plushies from other series. It doesn't sound like that's the common consensus, but I noticed it.
I could definitely see some characters selling better than others. I don't imagine the Withereds would sell like crazy, but the toys might, and the fact that they're not putting out merch even though they know it will likely sell (and already have the mold) is probably less at a risk of a loss and more because recoloring the same product and pumping it out is easy and quick.
I too would kill for a mar rio te figure, but I doubt that if they really did, they wouldn’t add them big accessories
There’s no way Funko thinks people will think the figures are outdated. They KNOW, people have been wanting the animatronics and the withereds and they know that they will make enough money, the toy animatronics is a possibility, but they’re too lazy to make. The withereds most likely.
Their lazy because they have to make a brand new sculpt for the withereds.

Why doesn't Funko release the withereds one at a time with other waves.
From a business stand point, they lose a lot of money if they don't make enough sales.
So making a whole wave of withereds wouldn't be the best idea because the risk of the money going all the way down. But let's say they do a wave for the a Toys, and they include withered bonnie in it. Toy Bonnie, Freddy, chica, bb, puppet, withered bonnie. That way theirs still an ongoing theme and it mixes well with the colorfulness of the Toys. For withered chica they could release her in another Halloween set.
Withered foxy and withered Freddy can be released separately like a shadow drop this way they won't lose a lot of money. And if this does well they gain a lot more money
I was so willing to go with the “scary doesn’t sell well” thing until I remembered that they made a wave for the nightmare animatronics which did amazingly. I think funko lied to you bud
Very good business explanation! To expand on that, my guess with the toy animatronics is Funko found a way to make all new tooling for the toy animatronics while barely having to splurge money on paint applications. Companies are given a budget in how much they can spend on a wave. They have to determine what they want that money going towards. New tooling costs upwards to $100k per a fully tooled figure, which is why companies try to make partly-tooled figures or repaints to reduce cost. The AR wave had all new tooling for each character, but little to no paint application. This shows they used all their budget in new tooling. My theory is, now that they spent the money on new tooling, they can use it down the line, later when given a new budget for a new wave. Because they already have the tooling from previously, they can then splurge all their money on paint applications. If this is their plan, it’s a great one. Trying to create a wave with so much paint applications and new tooling is nearly impossible from a business standpoint. Doing it this way, (if this is at all the plan) the toy animatronics will look good and not incomplete or off.
That actually makes a ton of sense, good point. Hopefully it ends up working out that way and we can get the Toy Animatronic wave down the road.
They could quite easily make the more darker figures (Withereds, Twisted Ones, Nightmares, scrap etc) exclusive to certain stores that have a more older teen/adult audience such as Hot Topic and perhaps even Forbidden Planet. The problem with the darker figures not selling well is that they don't market to their audience properly. If they released the Withereds + Toys in one big wave and marketed the toys to more regular stores such as Walmart and Target and the withereds to hot topic etc, then they would see their figures sell well.

There's also the possibility of a line aimed at adult collectors, like the Hammond/Amber collection for the Jurassic world wave (although some have said that they don't quite live up to that, but you get the idea)
When scott cawthon announced the fnaf fazbear fanverse initiative and said in the future it will get merchandise.. yeah, that was one or two years ago, all we got were plushies, I don't think we're going to get action figures of ignited freddy or fnaf plus freddy Mainly because they are serving there actual purpose of being scary and funko won't think they will sell because it's not for kids, yeah.
Bro, think about the Nightmare wave! those things were dark, but they did kind of sell well! The only reason why they didn’t sell well as good as like wave one was because they had a garbage build a figure and toy foxy obviously! was in the wave. But other than that they’re dark colored characters. They didn’t really popular they still made them and they were kind of successful.

Funko will Fail and will shut down if they don't start making the characters the fans want like the Withereds, the Toys, the other nightmares, etc. At this rate, Funko needs at least Fnaf Fans as workers to convince Funko to make the characters WE WANT as action figures that'll sell really well. Problem with that is that they aren’t being completely funded by only fnaf, pal. They have the rights to so many licenses, and fnaf isn’t a priority for them. I can bet you marvel and dc alone are making funko more money than fnaf is. Not to mention figures, pop, and plushies aren’t funkos only means of money, although they are a main way usually.
Moral of the story, funko literally doesn’t need fnaf at all, they can leave it anytime and wouldn’t lose that much money

I'm still hoping that in some day, funko will finally do the missing cannon characters......and this withered Freddy action figure, I can imagine funko doing exactly like that, and I would buy it.

Making a great point but if Funko didn’t want their Murch to be scary then what the hell is with the nightmare animatronic action figures, or scrap baby, or ended
The longer Funko waits to make these missing characters the more characters will be introduced into the franchise. I've lost all hope for the Withered and Toy animatronics.
I bet the Five Nights at Freddy's movie comes around there going to make some scary themed action figures
They should do, like, special events with those other characters, or something. Like timed online exclusive orders, and only a set amount (like first come first serve on a list) so they only have to make however many requests for them they get, and not have to go overboard with production.
They made a Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie and action figure. Springtrap is like the same idea as the Withereds. He's broken, he's dark in color, he's even got guts in him! The Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie was Withered and even had guts In him. He was a lot brighter in color, but most of the FNaF Plushies out there are bright colors. The Nightmares were bright when in reality they're really dark colors. The COD plushies were all pretty bright. And I think the Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie must've sold really well considering I never saw a single one in stores! And the Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie was I think clearly supposed to be Funko trying to improve the already existing plushie since he's a lot more accurate. They just made him much brighter. So I think they could definitely make Withered Plushies and have them sell well as long as they make them more bright. As for the action figures, I don't really know.
Also I think withered Freddy and withered foxy are probably not worth doing because it’s kinda hard for Funko to design different versions of characters they already have without them just reusing parts same with the withered chica. They would probably just reuse most of the molds. But The toy animatronics would be perfect! They’re bright and colorful and also they could make the build a figure either withered Bonnie or the puppet
This also explains why they did that for pizzeria simulator.

Scrap Baby, Ennard, & Springtrap are some of the most loved action figures.
The nightmare figures, reselling for 100+ dollars each, people clearly want them, there is a demand.
If the Dreadbear wave didn’t sell well then why make a tiny version of the Dreadbear plush????
Tiny Dreadbear constantly sells out at Walmart & Funko’s website.
Normal Dreadbear plush is literally sold out on Funko’s website as yesterday.
While on the other hand there is the bright and colorful stuff.
The tiedye figues have been rotting on a shelf for months at my local Walmart, literally none have sold.
The AR plushies are literally polluting GameStop.
Spring Colorway plushies used to be everywhere you looked for the months after they released.
When the Blacklight wave released it just sat there on shelves for a long, long, while.
Close to everyone complained about the AR wave, Tiedye wave, Blacklight wave, & Spring Colorway wave.
The AR plushies are being sold at 5 Below for 3 dollars and 28 cents due to how terribly they sold.
TLDR: Funko is lying, colorful stuff rots on shelves for months, all the dark & scary stuff is literally out of stock everywhere.

I had a dream once that funko made wave 2 to funko snaps the withereds, but they also made a few new waves. Your probably thinking, "are these going to be the phantoms or the rest of the nightmares" well no. In my dream they made the slightly more withereds, The slightly slightly more withereds, and the slightly slightly slightly more withereds. The slightly slightly slightly more withereds looked the best out of the goofy ones, then of course the best ones were the withereds overall.
I still love that that despite withered freddy being on nearly all of funko’s fnaf merch, there’s still no official merch of him (and all the others) that funko has produced.

1. No the figures have not stayed consistent for example… the security breach line
2. There frikking joints are so annoying I had to buy the whole SL Line thrice which cost me around 200$

I think it’s better if the FNAF license is given to someone else, the funko figures look cheap and are just recolors of previous figures.

I might pick up the new circus wave, but the only waves I've bought in their entirety was fnaf 1 and sister location.
Only other 3 figures I've gotten are Vanny, Glitchtrap, and the ar chica just in case we don't get the normal Toy animatronics which I want the most.... probably would have picked up Glamrock Chica if her head was correct.
When we want new molds from funko back in the day we got reskins and now we want reskins and there like “no”

My question is why did they stop the build a figures? That was one of the best selling points of the figures. They had the perfect opportunity to make Nightmare Fredbear the baf for the curse of dreadbear line but they didn’t and I still don’t understand why they didn’t make him for the fnaf 4 wave seeing as how he is literally the main antagonist of that game. I promise if they were to make a withered wave and brought back the baf’s they would sell amazingly but they won’t ever do that. All we’re ever gonna get from them anymore are the stupid recolors that nobody cares about. Can they at least make a nightmare fredbear or maybe a scraptrap figure?

As a kid, Iove horror games not mascot but I still love fnaf and i wanted the withereds and toys since the first wave... I really loved fnaf since 2015 it really didponts me because fnaf 2 was my childhood and seeing that funko didn't make them yet just dissponts me

Fnaf2 has some of the best designs and it would be a crime to not make it.
Here heres an idea for them to make money: New Waves under one name: Fnaf journey through time.
They rerelease old waves in the order of theyre game and make new characters.
So wave one would be fnaf1
wave2 Fnaf2s toys with Toy Mangle
Wave3 The witherds with Shadow bonnie and Shadow freddy as exclusive figures for gamestop or target
Wave 4 are the Phantoms where the build them all figure would be nightmare
Wave5 is fnaf4 and the build them all figure is Nightmare Freadbear and two exclusives Jack o Bonnie, Jack o chica
Wave 6 if the regular sl wave
wave7 is Fnaf6 with exclusive Molten and Scraptrap
wave8 is the halloween one
wave9 is security breach
there now they will get so much money in the long run
