Int. Hillclimb "Eggberg" 1988 Bad Säckingen - German Hill Climb Throphy - Formula and Sports Cars

Last hill climb race in 1988! Motorsport events on the Eggberg have a tradition going back more than 100 years. The first Eggberg race started as early as 1913. The event quickly developed into a crowd puller. Drivers like Petermax Müller, Hans Stuck and in later years Freddy Amweg and Walter Pedrazza tackled the route. Highlights of the history of the Eggberg were the two races in 1947 and 1948. Big names attended, including Petermax Müller, Baron Alex von Falkenhausen, Schorsch Meier, Karl Kling and Hans Stuck. At that time they drove Bugattis, Veritas, Cisitalia, Alfa Romeos, BMWs and Maseratis. Real crowds of spectators lined Eggberg-Road.
